Attended an event in the patio area and had a wonderful time. Never been there before but hope there will be more events there. The ambiance and location are great!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! They charged us $10 cover to place us all by ourselves in the dining area, when we wanted to sit outside for drinks. When we asked them why they did that, they said the outside tables are for bottle service only. They never even asked us if that was what we wanted. We left within 5 minutes with no refund. Never felt more unwelcome in my life!

Our server Monica was awesome Friday night. The food was great and the music was perfect. My family had a burger plate, chicken fried steak plate and the BBQ plate. Fried okra was delicious and a huge portion. The Turkey, Brisket and ribs were tender and moist. The potato salad was not a favorite. It was too creamy and had a vinegar taste. They should add a couple of more ribs for the price. 2 ribs wasn’t enough for a meat portion but they were thick and delicious

Sidney and sal are my favorite bartenders on Sunday! I love the waffles and chop and the wings are always my go to! They also have a great selection of beers and spirits!

The place has indoor as well as an outdoor seating.Was there in a Saturday night and the place was well decorated with lights and they also had a live music going on.The onion rings were amazingly tasty Has a good collection of wine and drinks..!!

We went to the well to see a wrestling match. This place is tucked away off of I10, we had never heard about it before this event.It is huge! There is an outdoor seating area w/stage and room for kiddos to run around.There is a large bar with several craft beers on tap. The wrestling match was in the back event room. It was a large area with several tables and a smaller bar. They also served munchies.This place is great for group events or family gatherings. (There was a production company filming a movie while we were there.) Large parking lot, and clean restrooms.

Love Tuesday trivia night. Great specials and even better service (Monica takes great care of our large group all ordering different food and drinks at different times and is very friendly). Pretzels are great, taco special is great, burgers are great and that chili cheese dip with scoopy fries is awesome. Havent had anything I didnt like!

For having limited seating and tables, I’ve had the worst experience ever. Took us 20 minutes to get our drinks. Also, people were crowding the DJ booth more then 10 people with no masks well within the 6 feet regulation. People were also waking throughout the premise with no face coverings and approaching other tables with now masks

First time coming here and it was very nice. The crowd was a big mix of younger to older groups. We sat at the bar the whole time so we didnt get to check out the dance hall part of it. They had decent beers on tap and happy hour specials.

Literally was there on a Saturday before was fine but was real rude today I waited almost an hour before being asked for a drink because they were in one side of the bar the whole time. The. They finally came to ask me for a drink and I guess I didn’t speak fast enough he waved me off and walked away. I used to like the well on Saturday’s but now HORRIBLE PLACE TO GO!!!!!

The yard looked cool, but it was too hot and muggy to enjoy it when I was there. The bar was pretty crowded for a Tuesday. My Moscow Mule was more sweet than flavor. Nothing special. Nothing to pull me back.

Really, really slow service. Drinks cost over $10, are not tasty, and are served in small bar glasses. I tried a couple and the second tasted just like cough syrup. Some of my friends liked their food, some didnt. I ordered the brisket because it said it came with homemade bread... the bread was cheap sliced white bread! and the brisket was dry.

Chips were stale, drink was good, and service was fast. The reason I am giving a 2 star is the amount of roaches I seen. Last weekend I came with my husband saw a roach in the womens room, now just leaving saw one on the bar top, waved over the bartender and told her what I saw and she reacted as if it was normal not sign of disgust.

Room to dance and various rooms for you to hop around to. Staff is pretty good maybe a little rude when crowded but the music is too good to be upset. People are vibing and most get along even when crowded.

Great place to catch a drink with friends, significant other or alone. They often have something going on every night but I like going on Wednesdays for college night. I like the rustic and country aspect of it. They have live music and another section where a live band plays but its only certain days... maybe Saturday (that is cash only)

Love this venue! We recently had a couples wedding shower here and had amazing service! The food is outstanding! The staff is professional! The owner was committed to our service. She personally handled everything to make sure we were satusfied. People don’t realize this is also a restaurant and MUST try the food here! Everything ran smooth and the cost to have a worry free event was spot on! We had the party from 4-7pm and stayed until after midnight listening to different live bands. If you haven’t visited, you must. It’s a fabulous dog friendly, bar and backyard with amazing staff and ownership! Highly recommend!!

Bar with decent drink offerings. Nice outdoor area for hanging out on those cooler days or evening when its not too hot or humid out.

Well the place is nice! The weather is perfect the music is awesome. Especially the singer. But the bartenders need to be more attentive. My best friend an I visited, our first time here. And Justin and Sidney ignored us at first. I had to speak up to finally for acknowledgement. 4 stars for everything else.

I really enjoyed my time here. One of the few places that offer live music with outdoor seating. There is enough space for everyone to spread out. Dance hall and really well made mixed drinks.

Horrible service! Waitress was clueless and service super slow! Iced tea was warm! They told us that they pour boiling water onto tea bags and that’s why it wasn’t cold. Never going back.

Nice location. We were sitting outside; however, you go inside to order your food and drinks at the bar. We waited for quite awhile and never could get waited on. There was only one bartender at each bar and many customers to serve. Very surprised there werent multiple bartenders for this type of set-up. Wouldnt go back.

The food quality was decent & slider portions were subpar. I couldnt believe the chicken slider was literally the end piece of a chicken tender. It was about the size of 1.5 chicken nuggets. They dont serve dishes like the Mac n cheese or the cream corn in dishware designed to keep food warm. The service received from Kiauna was good, but Kristine (sp?) was horrendous. Shes rude, unpleasant & doesnt appear to enjoy her job. We went because people were saying the food was excellent, but for the service & quality of what we received, I would say youre better off at Whiskey Cake (La Cantera) or Maxs Wine Dive (Quarry). They only received the 2 stars, because of Kiauna or else it was less than 1.

Nice environment. Great food! The staff Ive come across when getting food are pretty cool and funny. Bar staff needs to learn to smile more though. Band Ive heard wasnt very good. Seems to appeal to the 30+ crowd at night, which is good if you want to get away from the club feel. Nice outside patio space. Needs to expand their parking area soon though.

Pretty hard to get the attention from the bartenders while they talk to each other and ignore the waiting customers. When I finally got their attention, they were very rude and acted a little arrogant. The only thing good about this place is the company you bring because you wont get good service or interest from the staff.

Nice experience. Food was great. We had a large party and tried 7 different entrees. They were presented great, all tasted fresh and everyone in our party like the food. Pricing is fair as well, many entrees between $10-$15.Service was prompt, fast and attentive (thank you Mike!!!).Would definitely go back. Meals we had were Bexar Salad, Chicken pot pie, Waffles and chop, fish and chips, the chili, smoked chicken and something else I cant remember.Ample parking too.

What a great place with a great patio. Being a little beyond my college years, Im not inclined to go on college nights, but the patio area is fantastic when the weathers right. Though, Ill give them 4.5 stars since we ordered a steak, which is priced like you see at a fairly nice steakhouse, and it was cooked so rare and unevenly we couldnt eat it and had to send it back. And I like a medium rare steak, but this was just weird. Though, they handled it exceptionally, took it off our bill, and were very courteous the rest of the time. The rest of the food was great, but they should make sure all their cooks know how to cook a steak just right.

Grand opening night -No service to even mention.Cant get drinks in a timely manner of at all.Staff lacks any training/customer service. Cops attitude on top of that.Place looks great - it ends there!

Beer selection on tap is the only value youll get for your time spent. Food is HUGE disappointment.. Youd be better off going to the pearl brewery. bill millers might even be a better option for BBQ... smh.

Nice clean new place. The Tue band was excellent. The place is done up nice. The beer could have been a little colder. Had an order of wings, decent but not a show stopper. Have yet to try any other food item. Might give them other try in weekend.

Great outdoor venue! Tonights music was very good. Food wass not run-of-the-mill variety and tasty. Inside, bar tenders were surly but outdoor servers were pleasant and attentive.

First time visiting The Well and it will surely be my last. This place has by far the worst customer service Ive experienced in all of San Antonio. Waited for about 15 minutes to order a drink while the two bartenders flirted and planned their evening together. Then when they did take my order they acted as if I were inconveniencing them! They refused to bring the food we ordered outdoors to the tables our party were seated at and instead placed our food on the bar counter without saying a word and walked away. I will never go back to this place and I highly recommend to steer clear of The Well.

The staff is extremely rude from the moment you walk in, trying to order drinks, and up until closing time. Save yourself and consider yourself warned. Go somewhere else.

Slow service,rude staff,cold food and feels like trying to drink at the police station

The Well is a great place to sit outside and have drinks, but if you’re planning on eating I would steer clear of this place.Even before we were seated, we were given attitude by the hostess. Not sure why, considering the dining area was pretty much empty.The service from our waitress, Ashley was absolutely horrible. She approached the table and didn’t say a word, expecting us to start ordering. Drinks took forever to arrive and when we were finally given our bill, she took so long to come pick up our cards that we almost paid in cash so we could finally leave. (We we’re not in a hurry at all, it just took that long).I love the Well for the atmosphere but I will never eat here again based on the service we received.

Went to eat there. Sat outside. It is pet friendly. Terrible service. We never got helped. Then my son went to the waiter and asked if we can order. He said he had 3 tables and he was by himself. So we never got helped or even acknowledged. So we ended up leaving. And we always tip good so bad service I would not recommend at all do not go there. The greeter inside was very rude and there were three of them. I asked if we could eat outside and they kind of just looked at me like I was crazy and they acknowledged finally and said okay. Do not do not do not recommend at all

Came here for dinner with our friends (food was fantastic and came out quick), they had a diverse and great drink menu. Afterwards they had a band playing outside that was great, played corn hole, followed by two stepping at the dance hall. (I heard they had dance lessons earlier) Highly recommend for anyone looking for good food and a place to spend the entire evening. Great atmosphere and great service. Will be coming back soon.

I stopped by for an app & drink. The soft pretzel with the beer cheese was awesome! The pretzel was Texas-sized!!!!!

Dog friendly and decent food. A little bit of an identity issue. Nott really a Texas dance Hall,; not really a night club, and; boy really a restaurant. Still though, it has flavors of all three.

Just came here for the first time with my wife and boy were we impressed. The singer (Cody Anderson: look him up) was amazing. Also the bar and booths are next to the live music, and chips & queso are delicious. Havent finished eating yet, will updaup post when done!

This has got to be one of the best restaurants Ive ever been to. My waiter, Joe, was spectacular, he was so nice and made me and my family feel right at home. The food is pure southern comfort food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone thinking about coming here.

Huge draft beer selection and large, Texas Sized food portions at very reasonable prices. One unique feature of The Well is an outdoor dining area where dog owners can bring their canine friends with them, but thats only a small part of what The Well offers. Overall the place has an interesting and welcoming casual atmosphere. I highly recommend giving The Well a try!

Great food. Great environment. Loved the outside band but experienced THE WORST SERVICE of my life. The dining room wasnt that busy and our server Ari clearly has never worked customer service before. She was inattentive and we were forced to ask different servers three different times for drinks. Usually I am understanding if its busy but when we finally were leaving, Ari clearly did not want to be serving us. She does not look as if she enjoys her job and she was very pretentious and rather unpleasant. Stuff like this leads to loss of business.

The service is terrible. The staff is not knowledgeable on drinks or beer. The servers are rude, impatient. Takes forever to get drinks from the bar (on a Thursday at 4 when nobodys at the bar). The food ok. Wont be going back. The atmosphere is a real turn off.

This a very popular spot. But if you are on a budget I would avoid. I ordered a margarita and it was $12! The atmosphere is nice but I would suggest to pre-game.

The brisket and macaroni and cheese was very good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone going for dinner. They have a nice bar area, outside lounge area, and a dance room. Something for everyone.

Just had a surprise party for my husband in their party room with 60 of our family and friends. Everyone couldnt stop going on about hownice it was and the food, sliders, bombers and the mac-n-cheese along with everything else was so dam good. We loved everything, our servers and all the staff were so nice and helpful. We stayed after our party to kick back and relax on their awesome patio to enjoy the great music and drinks.

This had been my first time coming and I immediately fell in love. The establishment was beautiful. Outside and inside were done very well. Love the inside bar with furnitures to sit down and have a nice cold beer while watching some football. Almost felt like i was at home!

Went to this place for restaurant week and the plates we tried was a modified version of one of their regular items and it was really good. The place was not busy at the time and it seemed our server was pre-occupied doing other things as it took her a while to re-fill our drinks and bring our checks. They have a large outdoor area for game etc.

Do not come in a big group (or during big group times) The food is decent, but the kitchen is just not big enough. We waited over and hour for our brisket plate and after asking about it and waiting an additional 10 minutes we cancelled the order. The whole party was finished eating already. They brought it anyway, and being nice we said put it in a bag. After a while longer we got the check and they charged us for everything. I complained and the manager came over and explained that if we took the food we had to pay for it. In the end I gave him the bagged food and they only charged us for the drinks.The wait staff was nice enough but the establishment is obviously set up for quantity over quality in terms of customer service. I can understand the growing pains but the bad customer service has no excuse.Bigger kitchen and better customer service/resolution please.Also, the beer isnt really cold and the drinks are very measured.Sorry guys, step up your game if you want our business.

Really like this place!! Has a very authetic vibe. Went here for a Longhorn Watch party. Great food. The bacon wrapped shrimp is delicious! Tons of beer selections on tap. Comfortable seating, lots of tvs, and game audio. Had a great time watching the game here!

If I could negative star this place I most definitely would. Chose this establishment to celebrated my 22nd birthday last night, came with a group of 10+ people had the security guard look at my ID tell me happy birthday then look at my boyfriends and accuse him of a fake ID because it was out of state and denied him entrance. ID is 100% real, asked to speak to a manager (Henry), which security refused to get and he didn’t even bother to look at the ID, told us to leave. Suggest you all get better security that knows how to differentiate between a real and fake ID. Wasn’t cut, wasn’t expired, had a hologram, mall cop was probably just looking for some money. Security then pushed my boyfriend and started shoving me, threatened to arrest me and forced me to leave. Needless to say y’all ruined my birthday and I will most definitely not be returning.

I sure wish i made the time to review this place before going. Service was mediocre but it was obvious our server was still new and unfamiliar with the menu. Asked for the manager and got a supervisor who not only was condescending but insinuated we were out trolling for a free meal. To The Well owners: My friends and I are always willing to pay for an experience, even if its not up to our standards, however, when the staff becomes belligerent and accusatory, I will certainly draw the line there . You have lost [3] customers because you have chosen to put inexperienced leaders in a position of authority. And based on some of the reviews, it seems you have lost a whole lot more than that.Get your act together, or youll just be another local owned restaurant not making it because of bad hiring decisions.

Large dining area. An informal place to eat with the family and get very generous portions. There is a outside play area for the kids.

Ive been a fan of the well since it opened. However, lately service has been OK at the best. The servers are short and rude. They dont like to go out of their way to get the beer youd like. The food is just thrown together without any regard to quality. Lastly the Wednesday DJ and kareoke is absurdly loud and doesnt need to be here. Used to be a cool place, on its way downhill.

Food was decent. The grounds were fine and roomy. Dog friendly patio and great beer selection.The service was terrible. It was a super slow Sunday and there was only a handful of people in the entire establishment. It took the waitress well over 20 minutes to bring our drinks and refills. The food took exceptionally long and the waitress offered the excuse its a really long walk from the kitchen. I asked for a margarita for my GF and they charged me for a top shelf frozen. Even then, the $12 margarita served in a plastic cup was not worth it.There was trash blowing across the entire patio area and not a single employee stopped to even attempt to pick it up. Empty beer cans and poop bags should not be blowing across the floor of any establishment.

Second review: Second time at this place and it has gotten worse. Food is decent but not good enough to sit and take the bad service. Other than party tables it was empty. Much of the service staff seems like they dont even want to be there and work. This on a Saturday night. What a waste. Would not be surprised if the owners have some family member running the place and dont have what it takes to fire them. Keep an eye open for the PERMANENTLY CLOSED sign.First review: Nice setup with the double bar. As would be expected of a recently opened location the bar staff rude because of the learning curve. This is not a night club to get snobby at. Just serve the drinks and dont correct the customer.
