Visited here a week or two ago to check it out. It was an absolute ghost-town. There were maybe 4 guests there at around 11-12oclock, and they all left shortly after. I dont know if this place has a poor reputation with the community, or if its purely a matter of what day you go. Judging by the other reviews I will assume the former. Otherwise, their location and decor were interesting. Left very shortly after arriving myself.

Went for the 1st time Saturday and had a fng BLAST!!! Bartender had his hands full but managed to still take care of everyone as soon as they ordered. I was hesitant to go because of some reviews but its obvious the bad things said must have been b/s, not sure what stalking bouncers they were referring to, the only one i met gave my brother a ride home because his car wouldnt start and was real respectful at the door. LOVED THIS PLACE...DEFINITELY GOING BACK THIS WEEKEND!!!

I recently took my fiance to Ivory Lounge for a good night full of drinks & dancing. First of all, they had a $5.00 cover charge, which was fine until they decided to keep my card at the bar because I didnt have cash for our entrance. The drinks were a little light so I started asking for doubles. The dance floor was small but lit and the only reason I give this organization 2 stars is because they played good music. When I went to close my tab, I come to find out they charge you double for doubles, meaning they dont just charge for the extra shot, they charge you as if youre having 2 drinks. We werent even drunk and our tab was $144.00. I asked to speak to the manager who was very unprofessional; didnt take my concerns seriously. They couldve gained a life-time customer but didnt care to keep my business. There are similar bars close by who dont have a cover charge and drinks are half the price. Its not about the money, its about the horrible service.

This is a dead place. I went on a Saturday at midnight hardly no one was there just few old pple crawling around. The place is small, poor lighting but the sound system is good.

The reason this club gets 2 stars is because they played the music I requested (thank you DJ!!!) The reason this club doesnt get the rest of the stars is because the drinks were practically water... The $1 drinks we expected that from 9:30pm-11:00pm but honestly once we paid full price we figured the drinks would be better. They werent. Also, no one was dancing! Everyone sat there in the booths on their phones.Now one star. Alcohol anonymous should hold their meetings here since all they serve is water and soft drinks

A friend of mine who is big in the SA Nightlife scene had told me how Ivory is the best club in SA so we went to check it out on a Saturday night. Let’s just say I danced so much I had blisters the next day. We ordered a few drinks from the bar and the bartenders were really fast and courteous. It was the best customer service I’ve had in a bar by far. The drinks were really good and the prices were cheap which was impressive for such a nice place.

I noticed that there are mixed reviews on this but I just wanted to ask since I’ve seen plenty of good reviews.What kind of music is played here?Is this more of a hip-hop and club-house music type of place? Is there a dress code?My wife and I are planning to check SA to possibly move there in the summer and I’d like to see what the city has to offer and to management if you are keeping bad obnoxious people out than I give you my thanks because I would hate to take my wife there for a good time and somebody just ruin the night for us and possibly more people. Especially since we hardly go out it would just be a shame to experience anything negative.

I travel a lot with my job and every time I’m in San Antonio on the weekend I stop by Ivory Lounge. I have been to many bars and clubs and this one is one of my favorites. It is always really clean unlike other places. It’s busy and has a nice crowd, nothing rowdy, which is good because I won’t go anywhere that’s questionable. The happy hour prices are $1 and you can’t beat that.

This is a great club to come out and have an amazing time. They have great drink specials at low prices. Saturday is the best drink special from 9:30-11:00pm the have a dollar anything. You cant beat that anywhere. The club is nice and people who come here give you no problems. This is where I come out to enjoy myself.

They charged my card twice..once for the correct amount & the second time for an additional $15. Not cool Ivory Lounge. Yall must have thought I was a person who dont check my account but I was the DD the drinks I bought were for friends. Bank dispute..Becareful with letting them open a tab..

Ivory lounge has def been such a fun place to be at! I love all the music they play! I’ve had numerous birthdays and celebrations here! The staff is super friendly and the music is always so good! They even have Latin nights on Friday which I’m soo happy about because surprising a lot of places don’t have Latin nights! So i will def continue to go to Ivory! It’s truly a blast!

Music was good and so were the drinks. Everything was $3 and you cant beat that. The decor was really nice. The bartender was very helpful and polite. I asked her all kinds of questions about drinks and she created this drink that was amazing. Good crowd too.

I used to come here with other nightlife entrepreneurs that used to promote concerts with me. The owners are very accommodating and attentive to the need of their customers. I just wish this place was bigger. I’d love to see a rooftop addition to this venue. Maybe bring on some investors to expand it a bit, that way they can have extremely extravagant shows there. I see lots of potential here, but I am not sure if that’ll ever happen. I hope it does, though! We badly need an amazing music venue in San Antonio that’s ran correctly.

Music was good, drinks were good also up until we ordered a Crown Apple. It was not Crown Apple, actually something else watered down.. two Crown bottles next to each other, different color of crown even thought they were the same.

Was thinking of visiting with a group of professional friends however after reading management responses it is very clear that professional integrity and core values means nothing here. It is one thing to respond with the truth but the truth can be presented in a professional and respectful way. From a unbias point of view the manager/owner response comes across as condescending and disrespectful to the patrons which makes new customers not want to come. If you are running away potential customers you are losing money and any smart business owner knows without customers eventually the business fails.

I love this place, I went here Saturday Night for a friends birthday party. The decor is beautiful and clean and the DJ was playing a bunch of current music on the radio. We had a great time. My friend got the bottle service and we had our own section. Also, the DJ gave her a shout out when they brought out the bottle with a sparkler. The drinks were really cheap too, I had a greygoose and soda with lime for $1, you cant beat that!

This is not a good place to hang. Just come here to enjoy your awful drinks.

This place is definitely NOT upscale. I was very disappointed. They mostly played rap music. I felt VERY out of place. I was just about the only white girl there.

I had VIP bottle service and it was great!!! I received my bottle as soon as I asked for it. The waiter constantly checked to see if we needed anything. The DJ was fantastic, I had an awesome time. Definitely will be going back and I highly recommend this lounge.

I really love the set up they have with the all white decor and the lights. And the music is good. They play a very good mix and drinks are pretty reasonable prics. Hands down a great place to go dancing and have a good time.

I ve never been in this place and only doing a research for a possible night out for upcoming week but oh my ,I am in treat with all the negative comments and the super cool honest responds from the owner.They truly made my night ,better than watching reality tv.(my favorite is so far the gal who threw up inside all over and expected to continue partying,gross) I’m sure gonna have wonderful time there with cool staff and even cooler drink prices.If they are indeed strict about following rules and not allowing the trash in ,I am gonna be happy camper for many visits too. Went there with my friend Shaun and we had a blast. His cousin owns the Ivory Lounge and he insisted we try it out! Its everything anyone could expect and more out of an upscale place. If your in San Antonio its a must do!

My friends and I went Friday night for their Latin music and we had a blast. The dj was on point, the bartenders were really fast, we ordered a round of mango shots and they had a yummy chili rim. The dj was from the radio station and he was giving away tickets to the j balvin concert which was cool. They had people ordering bottle service and it had bright fun sparklers. I’m considering having my birthday party there. Prices were good and the people were really nice.

Had my 22nd birthday party here last Saturday 04/01/17 and it was awesome! $1 anything from 9:30 to 11 every Saturday and a little under $100 for a bottle and VIP section! All my friends and family had a good time. We ended up getting a 2nd bottle and our waiter did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. They played good music and we danced all night.

I got kicked out of the nightclub for no reason at all. I was called a stupid a** n...... by the staff at the club while he blew his disgusting cigarette smoke in my face. He was mad at me because my girl and I wanted to have fun . I will be pursuing charges against the establishment due to the discriminatory treatment I received at 11pm on 2/10.

I was in town from North Carolina to celebrate my birthday with family/friends and after hearing some good things we decided to go to this lounge. It wasnt crowded and the atmosphere was cool..until, my sis got hot and threw up. Now this was all good until the bouncer and security guard/police officer informed her that she had to leave the premises because of this. Now mind you, she only had 2 of their watered down drinks and this happened after dancing to 3 songs back to back in a smoke filled room. Nevermind the fact that they never asked if she was ok and that we had spent over $100 in 20 min. Definitely wont be back!!

They really need a better door guy (ROB) ? was extremely rude and unprofessional. After having my fiancé birthday party here for two years in a row. He denied us entry. We had two VIPs booked ahead of time an had no problems the two years before. He wouldnt even let me speak to the manager. Very cocky, rude, lighting up a cigarette in our face. Ill never come back to this place after the way we were treated; Especially my fiancé on his birthday. Even if we got in Id feel uncomfortable being there after the presence he gave off. Worst night club you can go to. I had a bad experience on the evening of Feb 22, 2014 when I went to the Ivory Lounge to have some drinks. I had been to the night club before and expected to have a good time. Before I could get into the club, I was stopped by security and he checked my ID which was valid. As he was checking my ID another employee of the Ivory Lounge stopped security and told him that I could not come into the night club before the ID was not a Texas ID. You mean to tell me that business is only open for Texans or customers with a valid Texas ID? I was very shocked and asked for a explanation. I felt that the situation was not good for doing business. As I left the night club, I could understand why the parking lot was empty and business was slow. As a so call upscale and truley unique establishment which the website suggest, the Ivory Lounge staff showed no class and somewhat discrimination.Thx for reading the review.

This place is disgusting. People attack you when you dance and the security people are rude and unprofessional.Update:So after I put the bad review about this disgusting place, I see a reply form the owner threatening that they will track our IP and credit card info!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait what??So for investigation sake, let me tell you what happened. On Saturday 02/24/2018, we went to that vulgar club just to dance and have fun. We trusted the reviews, that is why we wanted to tell the truth. The music was from the 80s and the atmosphere was vulgar and very low class. There was a group of drunk girls dancing in the nastiest was you can imagine, but that was none of our business. HOWEVER, the birthday girl kept bumping into people when she was dancing and moving hierarchically (And please review your cameras, sir). So my fiance and I were dancing when we saw our friend grabbed and pulled by the hair. We ran to separate them. She kept pulling her hair when my friend was crying not knowing what she did, And please review the cameras. Then the security girl was able to separate them and suddenly she was punched in the face by the drunk birthday girl, so now the security guys had to get involved. We were checking on our friend when we saw the birthday girl was fighting and then she was asked to leave.About fifteen minutes later, security asked us to step outside. They said we have to leave because we were part of a fight!!!! No one was involved in any fight. WE WERE ATTACKED IN THAT CLUB. The manager should have apologized and offered us drinks. But instead they ask us to leave 15 min after the incident when we already bought more drinks. And when we asked to speak to the manager the security guys pushed us away. And when my fiance asked him literally Why are you talking to us like that? He said Because I can. and he pushed my fiance to the ground and attacked him. PLEASE, check your cameras Mr. Owner because obviously you didnt. There were witnesses too. Your security guy should be fired and he needs to attend an anger management class. And WE CALLED THE POLICE because we got attacked twice in that nasty place. So if you really care about your business and your customers Dont threat when YOU did us wrong. I will be waiting for your reply.

Wonderful place! Went on a Saturday Night and we were very impressed with the club. We had VIP bottle service and the service really was great. Our waitress was so nice and acommodating. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and when she brought the bottle out it had a sparkler and she took pictures of us with it, which was cool to post on our facebooks. The prices were really good. To have my whole birthday party there only costs $75 for a bottle Goose and all the sides. The music was good, a mix of top 40, dance, and a little bit of latin music. It was really busy. I wish I would have found this place sooner. I would also like to add that the cleanliness is unlike any other I have ever seen in a San Antonio club. Everything was super clean including the bathroom.

First of all. I had my 22nd birthday here last night which i had been planning weeks prior! I called plenty of times to ask dress code and any other rules i needed to know of. Never once was i told No t-shirts or Jerseys.. I was having an all white party so naturally the guys i was with some had on polo tshirts and my brother had on an all white button up base ball type tshirt. More than half my party was turned away ! And again i called mutiple times prior to my party so that there would be no issues !! Needless to say i was extremely upset and asked for my money back which i was denied !! Also the pictures are false advertisement because the club looks nothing like the pictures ! They were very rude and unprofessional. And i can see on here that the owner actual replies to these reviews and very rudely at that. This whole establishment was a disappointment and i wouldnt recommend it to anyone !! Will be making a post on Facebook as well !!

Good morning all, Im only making this as a post because Ive have many inquiries about the venue that I used for the baby shower, Ivory Lounge.The cost was $300 for 3 hours plus $50 deposit. There is a $50 charge for each additional hour there after. Very nice spacious place, option to use their sound system including microphone ( which i used for my games) is available. Option to have bartender & open bar available also for no extra charge.Dj available for extra charge as well, but we used our own play listWarning: These people are sticklers on time just as I am myself, however you are only given 30 min to set up food/ doco and that was almost impossible for me. I was due to be vacated by 5pm and thanks to family helping me clean up, I was out at 5:17 in which they kept my deposit. Smh, because I didnt cut into the next half hour. For this, I will never use them again. If any of you decide to use them, I suggest minimal decoration, which again is very impossible for me . Overall, a good time was had by all.
