Its Alamo Drafthouse, theyre always going to receive high marks from me. This place is oddly situated in its location, but it works amongst the strip mall. There is a small lobby and not much of a bar, but its nice. The people are just as friendly as they are in any other location and the service is always amazing. The seats dont recline in the theater but they are comfortable and there is tons of leg room.They are movie nerds and I absolutely love the vibe an attitude this place and its people have. The food is always amazing and the craft beer selection is unique and local. This place is great to see a movie with people who love movies, enjoy a nice brew, and experience some amazing food!

Great experience with their new rules in place. So glad to be able to come back. Ready for the Park North location to open so I dont have to drive so far. Great job with COVID, felt super safe and still felt like the drafthouse. I missed you guys!

Well, post COVID Drafthouse is now open again. The lobby bar is dark, you have to preorder your food and drinks, and you cannot anything else to your pre-order. Kudos on attempting to reopen, however right now the sparkle that made the Drafthouse better than every other cinema is missing. Cant wait till even the Drafthouse gets a bit more normal.

This place wasn’t crowded, even for a big popular movie around opening nights. Their decor is whimsical, however, I wish the lobby were bigger to accommodate the cool merchandise and props for the movie. The Avengers cutouts are great to see! I also wish the bar was larger and there was more seating by it and nearby. The service in the theater was quick and food was good though, with comfortable, clean seats. Make sure you check out special menus that correspond with certain movies! Traffic and construction on nearby highway 281 make it sort of difficult to get to, but hopefully that changes soon!

No refills on popcorn. Didnt taste like movie popcorn. Seats not comfortable. I understand the covid rules. Alamo draft house still needs to give a little of their personal touch.

Buffering if seats can be improved. There are buffering seats to the sides of where one sits but people sitting in front and behind you. Kind if defeats the purpose of buffer seats when the person behind is coughing up a storm.

My son and I love to come here. It is a little pricey but they have good events for the kids and the food is good. We’ve come in the winter when they had bubbles blowing in the theater to look like snow and they had arts and crafts to do. Another time it was for Detective Pikachu and they had people dressed up as different characters for the kids to take pictures with. I love how they have special items on the menus for different promotional events tied to certain high profile movies. Highly recommend.

Fantastic night with friends! We go to the movies 2-3 times a week at home but would go more often if there was an Alamo Drafthouse near us. First of all, the seats are comfortable and you have a nice table with a menu in front of you. Our waitress, Tori, did a great job keeping up with all of our orders and even staying on top of drink refills. I would have taken a photo of the fish and chips I had along with the huge bottomless steel popcorn bowl but I could not during the movie. It tasted amazing and made the movie experience that much better. One of the highlights for me though was that they do not tolerate talking, babies crying or texting - they talk to you once and then you’re ejected. If someone is bothering the movie experience you fill out a food form and no one knows it’s you that reported it - very private. I’ve never seen that before - our movie theatres need to take note of this for sure!!!!

We come here frequently, and I like coming to movies at DH Stone Oak, but the bathrooms are always a sloppy, wet mess... and many of the faucets are frequently out of order, with water dripping off the counters! The bathrooms are so much nicer and cleaner at the North Star location. Other than that, the staff is usually fairly attentive. Once in awhile, the wait staff doesnt come by for a long stretch, but thats not the norm. If I could give 3 1/2 stars, I would.

I went to this theater for the first time on 1/21. We were 2 of 4 people in the 12:15 movie on a Tuesday so it wasnt a busy. As a vegetarian I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offered a beyond meat burger and excitedly orderted it requesting ketchup and mayo on the side along with a lemonade. The waitress talked me into a soda instead after informing me that there werent free refills on lemonade. My dad order a pizza but requested one of the toppings to be left off and we settled in to enjoy the show. Well our orders arrived, my burger was slathered with ketchup and mayo and my dads pizza had the unwanted topping. It turns out I should have ordered the lemonade too because we never saw the waitress again till the end of the movie when she brought us the bill. So we paid $42 and some change for food that wasnt prepared right and drinks that never got refilled. The only other 2 people in the theater ordered popcorn which of course didnt get refilled either. I reached out to Alamo draft house to let them know that I was less than impressed with my first and likely last experience with them they apologize and said a member of management would reach out to me. I guess I should not be surprised that they havent. I waited to write this review because I wanted to be fair and give them a chance to make it right and possibly go try them again as we all have bad days but since they failed there too here it is.

The idea of this place sounds great but to be honest last time my hubby and I went last month it was disappointed. Chairs are not comfortable and food tasted like it was cooked in chlorine or sanitizer.Maybe now we have high standards because embassy suit theater has recliner seats and food is delicious. So if you wanna try some where different recommend embassy suit that’s only 6 miles away

I always arrive early to enjoy the custom preview that is related to the movie. The seats are comfortable, food and drinks are great. Easy to order tickets online. I have no complaints.

Really, really unique multi screen theater. Dining tables in all seating areas. Waiters bring you drinks, alcohol....YES! Also, food and snacks. Had the chicken tenders, they were crusty fried, large, on a bed of hand cut French fries....terrific. Others had fried pickles and mushrooms, they loved em. Very comfortable seating.

We went to the Alamo Drafthouse at Stone Oak for a movie during Thanksgiving break. Very bad service during the movie. This is what happened.We sat down immediately, wrote out what we wanted for food and drinks and waited about 20 minutes. One of the female servers passed us as she was helping others in our row and we asked if we could have our orders taken. She told us some one else would be our server. We watched the previews without any service. The movie started, and a male server came by and took our orders. The popcorn was delivered first without drinks. We waited quite a long time for my husband’s hamburger and our drinks. I had ordered the BOTTOMLESS popcorn . . . And during the movie I wanted a refill. Our server never came back. As we watched the movie, my husband googled for the Alamo Draft House at Stone Oak phone number. He called and told them which movie we were watching and could they please send a server. Another 10 minutes went by until the server appeared.Absolutely unacceptable service. Very disappointing.

Having a great beer while watching a movie is a wonderful concept. Friendly staff, comfortable seats, not recliners but still very comfortable. And pretty good beer selection.

Excellent movie theater, I have probably been 30+ times and have always had excellent service, food, and drink. It is always super clean and comfortable. They play an enjoyable related pre movie rather than adds which I really like and they have a broad menu.

The rules are stupid you cant order food during the movie, so everything you want has to be pre-ordered.

Great place to take the kids for family films and movie parties! Food is typically hot and great tasting, though the service here can be incredibly slow, even on slow days.They now have kids meals, which is a plus. They serve a brunch menu all day. Oh, and lets not forget the amazing milkshake and cocktail selections!

Watched the Mummy. Were given small flashlights and lighters to use whenever we would see a sunrise or flames. Great way to get the audience involved. Staff were great the food was great. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Alamo Drafthouse is the best theater in San Antonio. The staff is great, the food is delicious, and the bar is well-stocked. Plus, its nice you never have to worry about rude people talking or using their phones during films because the Drafthouse will toss them out.

Great service. Comfy seat, though not the reclining seat they are nice and wide. I ordered the Prosciutto & Buratta pizza and it was cooked to perfection. This Alamo Drafthouse is true to the cinema lover concept staying true to the brand they stand for. Thanks Stone Oak for a great cinema experience.

Great place to see a movie. Good service. Food is OK. Main draw for me is their strict no talking and no cell phones rule. It wasnt exactly respected last night. It usually is. Seats got pretty uncomfortable during a long movie. Still best place to see a movie. With some other theaters like Embassy putting in new comfortable seats and upgrading the place, if they add and enforce a strict no talking or cell phone rule, they could be our next date night location.

Love all Drafthouse locations. Always great service. Decent food. Good beer. My 4-year old got to see as Toy Story 4 and they made it very enjoyable for him which is always a win in my book. Happy kid, happy life.

I love Alamo Drafthouse, and this one in particular. The theater is comfy and clean. The service is pretty quick and usually friendly. Prices are on the higher end, but that’s to be expected when it comes to movie theater food. However, the quality of the food is not typical of a movie theater. I’ve tried many of their menu items and they are all very good. The only thing this theater is missing is reclining seat – though I understand how that would pose a problem for servers.

Comfortable seating, platters of food, good drinks and great movies! Whats not to like? PS ... Love their fried pickles!

Had the opportunity to try out the stone oak alamo draft house and watch the avengers!!! what an amazing place.. The seats were beyond comfortable (reclined with feet up and head back) the movie was amazing and sounded awesome.. loved the bottomless popcorn, bloody mary was made perfectly. I cant wait to go back.. we went with two toddlers and it was set up perfect enough that they even enjoyed themselves without causing disruption!! Thank you So much for the invite.. Couldnt say enough about this location, food, and atmosphere!! Thank you

Saw Avengers: Endgame here. Fantastic movie for one thing. But the movie theater is just as great. They set out some decor on the movie, along with signs asking people not to spoil the movie for others. The theater we were in was clean and ready for guests early. We had a private event but we still enjoyed good service. The popcorn was a perfect amount of butter and salt, and the drinks we were served were also delicious. Will come back again.

I think this is my favorite draft house. Good food, cool people and overall nice experience every time i head to the show. only reason its not 5 stars is that I feel like they have been raising the prices and I just dont know why?? fries are still just fries! fancy name or not! ill go there but dont think ill spend all my play money on one show.

My experience of Alamo Draft House in Austin was not favorable (we much preferred Flix Brewhouses process, set up etc) this location was better than my Austin experiences but not by much. Their rest rooms are only on the front lobby, so its a long walk back and forth during a movie, wait staff was very attentive before movie but it took forever to get bottomless popcorn during the movie. Our waiter totally forgot our request and had to bug another one. My biggest grip - I ordered the Chicken & Ricotta Meatballs. They were good BUT they do not warn you these are served in a piping HOT CAST IRON SKILLET on a plastic plate! This is INCREDIBLY UNSAFE & DANGEROUS eating in the dark!

You absolutely can not go wrong with this place. Come early to watch the weird trailers before the movie. Good food and great beer selection.

This theater doesnt have recliners and its very small. Also it doesnt have an actual table or platform in front of you to eat your food. the table is to the side of you and the seating is very uncomfortable. The service was great though.

I may be holding Alamo Drafthouse to a higher standard than I should, but I thought this theater had the worst service Ive ever seen at a theater that serves you at your seat. Ive been to theaters like this in Houston (where we used to live) and we have always had service that was good enough. I know this is a theater that serves food, so I dont expect the best service around, but this wasnt even close to what I would consider acceptable.The ordering system is a joke. You put your order on a card and hope that the servers see you need something. Luckily, when my wife and I came here, we filled out our card for all of the food we wanted throughout the movie. I put our drinks and an appetizer first, then wrote the entrees we wanted after the appetizers, and then popcorn after our food. This worked great. However, when they brought our silverware to us, all we had was a knife and no fork. So we used the ordering system and put our card up to ask for a fork. No one came by for 20 minutes. We even tried to ask the servers that were walking by delivering food to other tables but couldnt get them to help. To make it worse, the poor couple next to us literally had to bring their order to the waiters outside of the theater so they could get some food. I will never be going back to this theater again.I did give 2 stars because I like the reserved seating and the concept of serving you at your seat. They just really need to figure out the ordering system because I would much rather go anywhere else but here for a movie.

Last night, my daughter (who came in from Waco) and I went to watch Frozen II AT 10:30. Got tickets and waited for almost 20 minutes to get in. We smelled and saw the things for THE CATS adoption. It was from good intentions with inconsiderate judgement from management. How can your theater put so many cats in the close building with regular air conditioning system, not to even thing of smell and hairs and etc. flew all over in the air.We were so sensitive and got in bad shape that our skin were itchy, the noses were red & itch, the eyes were red and itch. We felt like cats hairs in every itches inside out.Today, we are both so sick that we dont know if we will come back to this location in the future. We will tell everyone about this bad decisions of your theater.Frozen II were good though.

The menu at this Alamo was pretty great with some different offerings than others. Service was great too.

So we originally went to go see IT 2 but they changed the movie times so all that was available was the good boys so they waived the fee and gave us a refund without us even asking! Btw loaded fries were so bomb! Good beer selection too

Great menu great seats we thought we were going to enjoy our time there it started off great i placed my order and was waiting for the nice gentleman to return but instead another guy came up to me and my son that is about to be 3 he wasnt crying he was all excited because of how big the TV was and they told us to leave I really didnt know how to tell my son we werent going to watch the movie because he was under 3 years old after I had promised him we would go I had booked it in advance had his hopes up and you let us down I wouldnt recommend this place if you have kids ! Oh and they did refund me my money but kept the booking charge Im very upset that they let us sit down and get comfortable they should have told us at the door!

My family of four and I showed up at 11:30 for the 12:00 p.m. showing of inbomidable. I have two and three and a half year old boys that were very excited to see the movie and eat lunch. When we went to the ticket counter the representative informed me that she would not allow us to watch the noon childrens movie because my children were too young. This is absolutely absurd and this policy needs to be revised and/or removed. Until then my dollars will be spent at other theaters.

I am a big fan of Alamo Drafthouse, I came from the Houston are where most of them are converted from old movie theaters. This one you can tell was built to be an Alamo Drafthouse. The design for everything is much better. Staff was friendly, the food is good, and the chairs where comfortable. What else can you ask for.

Absolutely one of the greatest theaters i have ever been to. the food is served steaming hot, with hot buttered popcorn, and cold drinks from anything to Dr. Pepper to 10 different types if beer. if i could i would give this 10/5 stars.

Love the convenience of having dinner, drinks and movie in one location! Food is decent, popcorn is great, and they have great brews on tap. Only downside is the parking can be tricky, allow a few minutes extra as they do not allow late comers!

Ideal date place! Its both dinner and a movie, and their food is pretty good. I went to see Shazam! this weekend and the experience was really cool. I recommend their Mexican Vanilla Shake and their Loaded Fries. The bottomless popcorn is also popular but remember to get extra butter because it doesnt come with much otherwise.

Clean theater but if you use Theater 1 please take a blanket as it is freezing cold. When bringing it to the attention of staff it is very disappointing to learn that the theater is either freezing cold or boiling hot, and so they cannot change the temperature or it will break the system. This is a lame excuse and terrible customer service.

This place is great! Table service while you enjoy your movie is a wonderful experience.

Prices for the movie tickets were cheap - made up for by higher than average food and drink prices. Hard to see what you are eating/drinking in the dark, so recommend going with finger food and bringing extra napkins or wipes. Seats are comfortable, and pre-movie features are a nice change of pace.

Food is on point, always have the latest movies.Great atmosphere, theres good lighting, cool posters, and very funny intro commercials based on the movie your gonna watch. The only reason Im giving this place 4 stars is because they recently reduced the menu. They used to have this buffalo blue burger that was soooooo good.Other than that its great. Very comfortable seating and plenty of room to spread out even if its s packed theater.Love the way I can order throughout the movie and the service is always good.Bring back the buffalo blue burger please.

I liked this place because of the spacious seats for dining and the little table. The service was great but everything is definitely over priced as far as food and drink.

In theater service has slipped. I waited nearly 25 minutes, with my order card showing, for someone to come by. Meanwhile, other patrons were being served. I finally put the paper rolled up into a straw so the whole thing was 10 inches high. It still took more than 5 minutes.Service at the bar was fast and friendly. Chips and queso are still delicious.

Great new concept different then your normal experience. Servers were great...but resembled watching a movie on bootleg with them walking in front. The price was affordable.

This is my favorite Alamo Drafthouse. Two seats per table, wider aisles to walk between rows, short walk to the restroom regardless of which theatre youre in, and good service from the waitstaff. Plenty of show times and parking too. Close proximity to several dining and shopping choices. Great place for a date.

Once you go to an Alamo Drafthouse, you will never want to go back to a standard theater. With awesome showings and an incredibly helpful staff, the small increase in price goes a very long way.

I love this Drafthouse Theater, and so close to my home. My visit to the Cinema yesterday wasnt as good as usual. The waitstaff was Very, Very Slow, asked for a straw 3 times before I got one, and the food wasnt as good as usual and a bit cold. So, I rated it a number 4. I will continue to frequent this Theatre...

Ordered bottomless popcorn and bottomless iced tea, and I was never asked if I wanted a refill on either one. Other than that, everything else was good.

Not a kid friendly cinema no matter what they try to say. Took granddaughter to see a rated G movie and was told my 2 year old wasnt welcome. Its great if its date not but dont think of bringing kids to see a Disney movie. Wow

Good place for movie, and have service food in movie theater, I like it.

They did not make my Martini correct, did not have frozen margherita that was on menu, our fries were all cold.

We really like this cinema as no phones, no talking and no unsupervised kids or adults allowed. They will remove you like they say and WE LOVE THAT! The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that the food service was extremely poor.Problems: It was our 1st visit and read prior to entering the facility how the food service worked (we thought). When our order wasnt picked up, we raised our hand. Finally, someone came but fussed at us for not putting the paper slip up the tall way. We had to ask for our drinks 3 times, our popcorn wasnt bottomless and we didnt get straws with the drink. The cinema was not full and couples on either side of use where being served...missed the 1st 10 minutes if Solo just trying to get the food right .Overall, the concept of the cinema is AWESOME. Love that people have to turn their phones off and cant turn on their screens, kids cant be dropped off as a babysitting service and adults can enjoy a movie without the distraction of electronic devices and constant talking. PLEASE FIX THE FOOD SERVICE ISSUE!!

Always clean. Food is always good. Coffee is so-so. Atmosphere is very adult friendly, good beer and some decent wine choices. Vegan menu options. Perfect date movie spot. Something for everyone. Never had a problem here and me and my friends and family have been coming to this location since it first opened.

Movies, food, beer all in one spot. The waitstaff is really good at checking on you and being attentive to what you want. The policy of not allowing people to not arrive late is great! The bar has a good variety of wines and beer and their mixed drinks were right on time. The only drawback is not having plain jane beers on tap.
