Fun, clean and nice workers. We want on a Saturday shortly after they opened and it wasnt too busy, they had hand sanitizer available masks were required throughout and only about 5% of things were closed or not available due to covid. We had a Pogo pass, which I highly recommend because we have five kids and at $12 a pop and a visit to the museum would be pretty pricey. :)

COVID time review. Sanitizer every few feet. Someone meets you at the door to check for masks and give information. The place is very empty so perfect for these times. I went during the week. Do not believe anything less than 4 stars. If you take time to absorb and read the history on each exhibit and presentation it’s very worth it. I took so many pics but they do not do it justice. Great to bring little ones but also great for a daytime date with the spouse.

Ive been coming here since my 29yr old son was in a stroller. 24yr old daughter as well. Unfortunately during this Rona 2020 fiasco. I was completely disappointed at the museum.. Closed exhibits. Changed exhibits. Face masks on already dead dinosaurs?? We have lost a generation.. Unfortunately San Antonio has become a communist stronghold and I see little way out.. If youve never been here, Its worth a visit. If youve been here before, U will be left disappointed. Plotted. Scouts Out.

I wasnt quite sure what to expect. It isnt large but it does have attractive grounds. Exhibits are mildly interesting. It serves its purpose as a moderately sized science/historical museum for local residents. Admission is just 14 bucks, a bargain compared to most museums around the country so its hard to really complain. Give yourself an hour.

Lots of great things to look at. See something new every time we come. My favorite hall is the ancient civilizations on the second floor focused on the trans pecos area. Love to sit down and watch the movie on the wide virtual screen. Museum is well laid out and has a few new additions since we last visited. We also liked the new lion hall on the second floor...although Im not sure what it has to do with Texas?

This was a great museum, specially because it was free of charge! On Tuesdays after 3pm you can go in free of charge and its open until 8pm, there was a lot of nice areas outside to sit and take photos and for the kids to play. The museum was clean and beautiful, it was amazing to see the dinosaur bones and the taxidermy animals, there was also a lot of fun free activities for kids too, and even if you choose to to go on a day that its not Tuesday the regular fee is 5 dollars which is not bad. Worth checking out if you ha e about 2-3 hours and want to do something free with the family or as a date.

The place was really clean and modern it gave a you an opportunity to view short clips and information of all the exhibits. At your pace and it was well out, the only issues was for me was that I thought it would be larger but it almost felt that as soon as I went in I was already done looking at all there was to view. But it was a really nice place to visit.

At this Museum its where you find the ancient ancestry of Texas and surrounding areas where you find the history of prehistory and see fossils of dinosaurs and animals that roamed in the countrysides around us or you can sit in areas and see videos and hear audios of more information on the topics where youre standing at. the atmosphere is calm, family mingling to one side of the museum to the other you go in and out of buildings and to nature walk outside and up a treehouse if you want the kids love the HEB three story discovery area and basement for toddlers there is an area where you pay an extra additional to see more history stuff thats temporary and changes on a basis. And of course your Museum Store gift shop on your way out.

Very beautiful building and cool fossils in the main entryway. Despite the huge building, the museum feels fairly small. Theres a section on Texas fauna, and San Antonio history like cowboys and the flour mill but that was about it. Very well constructed though and good exhibits, if were looking at quality over quantity. The fossils were definitely my favorite part. The back outdoors area is really nice and provides some good spots for reflection and resting your feet, but again theres not much out there which I had hoped there would be.

Ok so the good. It has gotten better. They did a facelift to the place a few years ago and it greatly expanded the museum. The grounds are nice and well taken care of. The staff is great. Lots of cool stuff to see. Now the bad, it’s bigger then it was but it’s still small. So much of it hasn’t changed and so there isn’t much the pulls me to go back more then once every few years. But what is there is great, I just want more.

It has been quite some time since me and my family have visited this wonderful museum. Today was father and daughter time since it is currently Spring Break. We pretty much spent the whole day just enjoying every display and enjoying the walk around the grounds. There is too much going on at the museum to see in one day!If you actually want to enjoy and have good memories, then I highly recommend going there a few times. The children will enjoy the time spent at each activity display because I know I was exhausted from just being there. I realized how some of the older displays are now gone and leaves me wondering if they should have stayed. I remember going on several Field Trips from elementary school and about all the memorable experiences I had back when I was a young child. Now i get to excitingly show my six year old daughter the many beautiful sights i have visited over the years. All of the staff members that I actually interacted with, made our visit very pleasant just by answering our questions. I realize on how and why they put in new displays, just wish they had kept some of them. Well we loved how the whole place was in excellent and very clean shape. Thus making our overall experience a wonderful family time. I highly recommend this museum for a wonderful experience and many pleasant memories waiting to happen.
