This museum is at the Jewish Community Center. I love learning new things and a museum big or small will teach you a lot. Very solemn, sad but real. There are videos which gives a great deal of information. If you are in the area I would suggest a visit, its small but very informative.

Very informative museum. It’s small but our family learned a lot about the holocaust. We took our kids there for a history lesson. Very sobering.

Extremely informative, this was a rough museum due to the content and happenings of history... Definitely glad I got to learn and see some of the artwork and items they have in display. Lovely giftshop with supplies for Jewish holidays and worship.Excuse my ignorance if I have misstated anything no offence intended.

Our first visit to Holocaust Memorial Museum. We spent time in reverence, prayers, reading all we could that captioned the many pictures and artifacts, and speaking with staff. Our hearts were forever reminded to never forget. The museum consists of two rooms plus additional displays in hallway and balcony.Open Sun through Fri, Closed Saturday. Free. By Donations. Thank you for your support. The museum is on 2nd floor of Barshop Jewish Community Center of San Antonio. At reception desk you can ask for directions. Staircase leads to 2nd floor, or can ask to use elevator. Receptionist will buzz you in, and enter U to go to 2nd floor. There is parking around this large facility and active ball fields.Blessings to all.

The Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio makes up a small part of a Jewish community center. It takes up two small rooms and part of a hallway. It is made up of pictures, timelines, lots of text to read, and some small artifacts and letters. I would not recommend this for young children because there is LOTS of reading. If you take your time to go through the whole thing and read all of the posted text, it is very informative and interesting. If you are not someone who mainly wants to just look at pictures and artifacts, then you will probably get through the entire thing in about 20 to 30 minutes. You have to go inside and tell the receptionist what you are there for. She will sign you in and tell you where to to. It is free to visit, but a donation of about 5 dollars is recommended.

They do a good job of presenting the history. There are a few survivors left and they try to come and speak.

Very small, donations only. Easy parking super friendly staff. I spent at least a hour there reading the information so there is a lot to take in. I like how they touch on individuals during that time. Very nice center also with a lot of other things to do. Worth going if you want to learn more information about people during that time and things you might not have read about before.

This was our familys first time to visit the holocaust museum at the JCC. Even the kids interest was held for the hour we were there. Its a very solemn and beautiful display of artifacts and stories of that tragic time of history. Please take the time to visit and donate so that this place can continue to educate the community.

Amazing experience everyone should experience! So sad ! I told my son if he could make it all the way through without shading one tear Id give him a hundred dollars and within 20 mins of it all sinking in he complained his allergies were causing him watery eyes but, at end we listened to a survivor story and we were both sobbing!

I am so thankful to the Jewish community center for hosting this museum. Our group had a wonderful time learning about the families involved in this horrible event. The presenter was an actual survivor of the Holocaust, which was an amazing experience to hear first hand his account of the ordeal his family went through.
