I remember bicycling out to the tower decades ago. It wasnt in as nice shape as it is now. No Sauramon up top looking down. Visits inside suspended due to Covid-19. I hope to visit inside when it reopens. Donation box at front. Dont worry, I donated.Parking across RT.1A across from Neptune Dr.

Great place to park and watch the waves , year round

Pulpit Rock Tower is a historic military observation tower. It was built in 1943 as part of the Portsmouth coastal defense system. Its open to the public periodically by the non profit group that maintains it.

Tiny, tiny little plot of land. Theres a single bench and the tower, but not much else. Worth stopping. Parkt at he pull of on RT 1A and walk the 100 feet to the site.

Its a special place in my heart the small of the ocean is the best thing for the soul to heal old hurts of your heart. Brings a sense of peace inside. ️

Cool tower. Wish it was unlocked so you can climb to the top. But Im sure vandals would ruin it.

We just drove by it because it looks like its on someones property. Cool sight though.

Sadly Tower is Rarely Open to the public. Preservation efforts are underway that may permit tours someday.
