I actually had fun on a chilly late November afternoon. I got to watch a sunset with a rainbow , see a tugboat bring a barge in to dock, and walk and climb on huge slabs and climb up a platform for a great view. I saw teenagers having fun taking selfies and exploring. Easy access to the beach ️. Plenty of parking. I occasionally visited this park in my youth because you had to pay to get in. The beach ️ I visited often. Picnic tables available.If your from out of town and visiting for the summer, I recommend a visit. Bathrooms will be open. Late in the season visitors may enjoy what I mentioned previously.Great view of the Isle of Shoals.

I went in the middle of October on a 70°day so there werent any people and no fee to park and it was beautiful and if your into Geo-caching there is a find there but itll take a minute to find it but it was fun!

Great beach, its not crowded. Good views. Parking is currently $2 an hour which is nice but very limited parking. Presently no parking on route 1a. 4 stars because its unsafe to get down to the beach area with a stroller without extreme care. There are drop off points on route one that provide safer access but could possibly lose a spot in the lot.

Great day for a sit down lunch by the ocean in this small park. Free to walk on with bikes, cars pay to park. Restrooms are available as well.

Great place for a picnic. No real beach, but beautiful scenery and an impressive jetty you can walk out on...carefully.

Ive been here a few times, the beach is nice, the park is nice, and the parking lot hasnt been FULL FULL once yet (I dont usually go on weekends, though)

Such a cool place to visit. Plenty to explore in this cove area. Every where you look is so beautiful. Best place to find crabs in the rocks. Also a great view of the isles of showls.

This was a quick stopover for me before I got on the road to come home. There are very pretty views, some benches and picnic tables to enjoy. The access was easy and do was the parking.

Tucked in between the harbor and a beach with a little beach if its own visible at low tide. Beautiful views of the Isles of Shoals and of a sweeping beach to the north. There are picnic tables but no grills. There are public restrooms on site but the smells are pretty intense in the mens room. We were here for a wedding and the setting was great and the event tent on site protected us from the sun. Best for those who want to sit and soak up the view, or walk on the jetty, but not best for those looking for a beach.

I actually help clean this beach and other beaches in New Hampshire every year. The one thing I notice about this beach compared to Hampton is that the trash there is usually washed up fishing equipment compared to the plastic straws and cigarettes on Hampton.The beach isnt exactly sand, there are a lot of rocks. But it is quieter than Hampton Beach and a better family beach because of it.

If you hit the shore of New Hampshire you owe it to yourself a visit to Rye Harbor State Park. Im not going for birders all over quite often interesting birds are seeing here. It sticks out into the ocean a bit and is a wonderful place to watch the surf come in especially when theres a storm brewing off the coast. Famous for snowy owls in the winter time this is a year-round destination that will not offering much of amenities its a great place to enjoy the ocean.As a nature photographer I frequent the coast often and I will never drive by this park; never know what youll find hanging out in the rocks.

The beach is a bit rocky but very quiet and peaceful! The temperature was 94 degrees Fahrenheit on the day I went, but honestly, it felt much cooler due to the ocean breeze.Love - LOVE this place and will definitely be returning!!

Restful no open restroom facility

Like pebble beach in rockport, you can find quiet on the rocks. A bit challenging to carry your things yo the beach over big rocks but if you can do this, there is ample free roadside parking when beaches down the road like jenness and the roadside parking spots are taken. I dont like hearing voices over waves so i go to this beach after 1030.

Beautiful place. Thecwhole coadtline in route 1A is amazing. Theres also a lighthouse that you can go inside in Portsmouth nearby open certain times of the year.

We pulled in on a beautiful winter day to see the sights. Snowy owls frequent this park and the surrounding area, and sure enough there was one perched nearby. Beautiful coastline and not too busy.

Its just a little peninsula with few amenities, but it has a charming view of the Isles of Shoals and the coastline. A great place to watch heavy weather, too.

Best beach location in New Hampshire. Great place to get some fresh air and enjoy the sun. Gets crowded, but is almost always less so than the main beach areas down in Hampton. Picnic area is a plus, and the pier makes a great walking location
