This is a memorial/cemetery of a spot where my ancestors were murdered. It is a great spot to stop, walk around and connect with my past.

I went and looked at the 1691 marsh massacre burial site. The place was just off the side of the road and was kind of awkward to park at, but easy to find as there was an historic marker sign. The actual site was rather small and infested with mosquitoes, but was interesting and marginally creepy. Unfortunately the informational sign at the actual site had been vandalized (or possibly just destroyed by weather...) but I had printed out the massacre story beforehand so I read the history from that. Overall it was a good spot to check out.

AWESOME PLACE

We visited there in 2012. A great grandfather and 6 other family members were massacred here. It was a very moving experience and want to go and see it again.
