Great place for the family. $30 bucks will give your kid unlimited access to the rides all day. The beach is horrible but doesnt impact my rating. I just stay away from it. I do enjoy the swimming pool though. Food is typical for an amusement park. Prices and all! Playland park is a great place to go to get away from hood for a while on a nice day.

A example of how Government can function to ensure beautiful places, in this case waterfront property that normally belongs only to people with enough money to buy it for themselves, can be enjoyed by all of us. Especially in the off-season, Playland Beach and Boardwalk is a breath of salty air for people and dogs alike.

I absolutely love Rye Playland! Its the perfect place to go with family, friends, kids or believe it or not dates, significant others. Its a friendly, scenic place to go outside of NYC. With entertainment for kids and adults. There website gives a calander of events. Concerts etc... Recommend it. Went for 4th of July. It was very busy but worth it. On holidays its important you get there early. There is also Rye Beach and access to boat/paddle boar rides.

This amusement park offers lots of fun carnival games, ample parking, beachfront, and impressive rides. Price is unitary, so better value earlier in the day (you pay the same even if you arrive for the day’s final twenty minutes). Options for eating — as far as this reviewer could find — are all fast food, of mediocre quality. Discounts for residents of Westchester County, which actually operates the amusement park.

Nice Entertainment venue for the young and not-so-young-ones alike. The park first opened its gates 91 yrs ago, and some attractions exhale their special charme as they stem from that time. Of course there are also much newer attractions around.Anyway, a great place for the family to go.

I went to Playland Park twice this year. Although the amusement park is closed due to COVID-19, I still had a wonderful time taking a walk around the park and viewing the rides from the fences. You are able to walk back to the Playland Lake pier and the Edith Read Sanctuary. You can get there by parking in the main lot all the way at the back. Then stroll over to the Lake Pier and further back to the sanctuary. You can also bring a chair for the sanctuary beach if youd like.In the Playland lot, people have been very creative with having tailgate parties with families. Pop open the boot (trunk) of your car, have a soft drink and a sandwich and catch up with loved ones. Afterwards, take a walk and enjoy the sea.At times, the Seaside walk is also open. You can find the entrance mid-way on the right were the park is. Its wonderful to just stop and hear the ocean. If you have a camera, taking fotos of the empty amusement park makes you ponder all of the happiness and memories that reside within its rides. As a child, Rye Playland was an integral part of growing up.I look forward to when Playland will be open again and to take a ride with my daughter on the Dragon Coaster. As a child, she loved the little boat ride, but hated the Merry Go Round. Go figure. And, of course, what is not to love about Rye Playland. Here is where you will find the Zoltar machine that will make your wishes of being Big come true. (Its where the movie Big with Tom Hanks was filmed.)Enjoy Playland differently this year. Maybe soon, Ill update this review with pictures of me by the Dragon Coaster once we say goodbye to COVID 19.

I grew up praying to come here. It still has the same allure for all kids. The staff is great all no doubt Westchester residents. The new climate (2020 smh) seems to have awakened some of the less comfortable undertones. Rye is a Million Dollar county and some seem to want you to know it.Shade aside never miss an opportunity to bring your little monsters here. Fourth is July is also a must. Catch the boat. This amusement park is located by the ocean. The park will amuse you; the ocean will soothe you. Admission ticket’s price I think is fair. Food, unsurprisingly, is expensive. It has a large parking lot with reasonable fees ($ 10).Ride lovers, check out before buying tickets if your favorite ride is on and not closed for repair. its a kid friendly and clean park. Medium sized compared to the NJ Six Flags we had visited a few years ago.

Ah the memories I made & shared at playland every time I go I get so nostalgic. I remember going there as a teen all the time I once spent a whole summer there. I’ve been back with my own family and kids. & the memories flood back to when I use to ride with my friends carefree hanging out until closing time. Thank you playland for that. I’ve moved 1000 miles away and still come back in the summer to visit. Sadly this summer has been different for all of us. I will always love this Park & my hometown of westchester ny. Can’t wait to be back with my new little guy.

What can you say about Playland other than its been consistent over the years, its a nice day get away Carnival with enough rides and entertainment for everyone of all ages form toddlers to adults and its not excessively packed like the typical Six Flags always is, the variety of rides is pretty impressive and entertaining such as haunted house rides to live shows on the main stage & the childrens stage with interactive characters wearing costumes... Their 30$ entrance fee is a bargain when compared to other Carnivals which charge based on per ride, it becomes even a greater value after 5pm when the entrance fee drops to only 15$ which is the best deal you will find anywhere!

The Pier Restaurant & Tiki Bar is very busy so service is not timely at all. The servers were friendly. No one seemed to know where an ATM was or if there was WiFi. A nice young man in the Ice Cafe gave me the WiFi info for the Ice Cafe. I found an ATM in the Ice Rink but the ATM was not able to get online, so get cash before you go here. Parking is $15. Ask for a voucher if you are going to the Pier Restaurant & Tiki Bar and you will get a discount on your order. Families seemed to be enjoying the rides. You can play miniature golf here as well as ice skate. It was my first time here and I expected something different so not too impressed. There was a band playing at the Pier Restaurant & Tiki Bar so do not sit close by them as you will have to tell your conversations. There are fireworks on Fridays. Some drinks are served in miniature fishbowls. My time with my friends was enjoyable. I would return. It is nice by the water.

Playland is a Westchester County staple. A place near by to get the kids out of the house and have an affordable day at an amusement park without having to drive 2 hours. The only setback is the rides are old. But kids dont really care if the ride is old or new. All they know is, they are having fun. This summer the bathrooms are better kept than years passed.

I came here for a big cookout by the water. You can rent the space, have a DJ and fit a good 100 people in this area. The space is straight at the end of the parking lot to the right. The only thing is unless you took a bus here, you have to pay for $15 parking to get in.After the cookout, I went into Playland Park itself. After a certain time the ticket entrance is discounted to $20 for adults.I went here on a Sunday night. The lines were between 5 to 20 minutes with most waits being on an average of 10 minutes.Dont expect rides anything close to what you would expect at a Six Flags but an enjoyable time nonetheless.

This park is good for people with little kids 2-12 yr olds. I have seen other great parks for adults to do much more. Went with our 2yr old. She was not required to get a ticket. And was allowed to go on attached list of rides. These are the ones with yellow labels. Me and my husband both had to buy adult ticket if we wanted to ride with her. Paid $25 per person. Paid $15 for parking. From below list 2 rides were broken. Found that there is a cruise as well and a beach next to park. There is additional fee to do cruise and access beach.
