We went out of Camp Holly with our Kayaks. We traveled down to the Lake. We paddled around the lake for a little over an hour. We saw a enormous amount of alligator in the water. Some where quite large. The air boats were going up and down the river, so there was some wake but they usually slowed down as they came by us. The trek was lovely. Lots of birds and fish as well.

Be careful hiking here in the summer. Trail guide mentions several trails, but none of them are actually marked. Theres also supposed to be a bird watch point, but the structure doesnt exist anymore. Bring lots of water, as the hike is longer and more boring than you might expect.Wild cows.

Be really careful driving out there in the afternoon. I was wanting to go for an afternoon hike and to watch the sunset, so I hopped in the car and started driving out but when I got to the parking area, noticed a sign that said closing at 7 PM and it was exactly 7 PM when I got there. I jumped back in the car and started driving back, and at the gate at 7:05, I was blocked by an officer who said I could be arrested but gave me a trespass warning and I can’t return for a year because of an honest mistake. The review isn’t about the beauty of the place, it’s just because of how I was treated on inconvenient timing when I was just trying to get away in nature for a bit :(

Quiet out-of-the-way place to take your dog for a walk or just find some solitude. There is a parking area and dogs must be on a leash.

Pretty area by the St. Johns River. Managed by SJRWMD and accessible to the public. The majority of the hike is on access roads with no shade, but the last bit to the River is shaded and lovely. There is a day use pavillion once you reach the River. 6 miles or more round trip.

Great place for sure. Took the kids out on the boat. Nice calm day saw lots of wildlife

To eat there is an all experience. You get great service, great food and cost is excellent. What more can you ask.

Beautiful place, if your going hiking here, go north or south, dont go west the grass is so tall on the west trail it feels like your hacking through a dense jungle

Great place for day hikes and a very peaceful place to spend a few hours. There is a primitive camp site but its usually occupied. Trails are well kept and the St. Johns river is great to hike along. The wildlife is awesome. Recently flooded but has soaked up nicely!

Beautiful place where you will find the river circulated by beautiful trees, crossed out sites, exercise devices, equipment for playing children, water troughs and a wonderful view of the river flowing into the nearby océan.

This was a nice hike for beginners! Definitely bring a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray! After walking about 2.5 miles, there was a beautiful shaded area to have a picnic.

Great area to walk and enjoy some distance from the city. I take my dogs, be sure to leash because an occasional cow could be out

Great place for a nature walk. Lots of wild life out here. Have seen turkey, deer, gators on the side of trails. Saw our first poisonous snake out there today; so be forewarned, they are out there. Also watch out for the cow pattys.

Nice place for a long nature walk. We also heard some shooting along the way. It is a wildlife management area, so be aware of that during hunting season. Seasons are posted at the parking lot.

Nice double boat ramp, but busy. Has restrooms. Beautiful lake with lots of fishing. Lots of Air boats.

Great are to go for hikes. The grass can get high and it is wild, so insects can get out of hand. Wear routes shoes, bug spray, sun screen, hat and sun glasses.Enjoy
