This is a nice trail in S Reno off of Lakeside in the farming part of town. You get to see lots of nice, big houses close to the trail. Dogs are welcome and have plenty of area to run around without being close to any roads. Easy to walk or run, no hills are very steep. Will definitely return here for more hiking in the future.
Love this trail. I will keep going back.
Nice loop trail! It was pretty easy even for kids. Very little shade though.
This trailhead offers two loop trails (about 2.5 miles total) with stunning views of the Reno skyline and springtime flower blooms. There is a pit toilet and covered picnic tables at the trailhead. The park is equestrian friendly and includes parking accommodations for horse trailers. Note that there is no water available and during the summer season the trails are hot and dry.
Easy trail. Not much scenery but a fun family walk.
Nice facilities and nice trails! Convenient that the property is adjacent National Forest lands, so if you want to stretch out you mileage you can go explore the National Forest.
Trail is easy and kept up. Its close to my house for a quick hike with my fur babies.Restrooms are available.
Too short, the view is partly good over the mountins and over the city
Love the open wide space!
Not for the novice mountain biker. Some parts are rocky and uphill. I’m a new rider. Had a tough time for sure but I had fun.
One of my favorite hiking spots in Reno
Great local trails so close in town
An ok hike on most of the trails. Great hikes for low-medium level hikers who require less steep grades. Not the best place to bring your dogs, since leashes are required and Ive encountered snakes on the trail numerous times. If you take the longer hike, its thin with high weeds on both sides. Probably a great area to hike during the winter and early spring!
Nice trails but a little too rugged, lots of loose rocks and pebbles on the trail
Nice view
Lovely discreet park you can even bring your dog too!! I would have never known it was there had it no been for google!! It reminds me of north carolina kinda. Very scenic!
Its a nice little park. There are two loops, one 0.5 miles, the other 1.7. It is a nice place for a hike, but I didnt care for biking it. The length is short, so its over quickly and there isnt much flow to the trail.A nice shirt weekend walk, cant recommend you bring your bike.
Parking was great. There are clean restrooms on site with a nice picnic area. It looks like part of the trail has been washed away with the recent winter. That being said thoes of you who would like a baby stroller path, this is not it. The over look has a beautiful view of South Reno. During the summer I can see this being a long, hot hike as there is no shade along this path. Overall, my family and I had a great time here.
Excellent hiking area on edge of urban zone. Excellent views of Reno. Trails good for running. Dogs allowed. This trail system ties in with Galena and eventually Hunter, future.Best as weather cools.
Nice parking lot with bathrooms.
Beautiful area.
Lovely views and and great two and a half mile Loop. Lots of sun on this hike. Bring water for your puppy
It’s super close to town and good city views.
It was nice, we found obsidian!!!
Great trail. Very scenic.
Great trail with nice views!
