It is calm and peaceful. Not many people (September) with miles of beach at your disposal. Watch the tides and avoid at high tides with northern winds as the road might get flooded. Bring kids, dogs etc to enjoy a nice sunny day!

My favorite beach in New England! Has rocks and sand so you can choose where you want to sit. The parking lot practically touches the water so don’t worry about how far you have to walk after you arrive!

We were a little disappointed waking up in the morning and packing the family into the car, only to discover that the beach is only open to locals on the weekends from 830-430. so we headed up to Duxbury for the day which was gorgeous and came back after 4:30 to Plymouth Long Beach and were pretty disappointed in the beach. Its extremely Rocky and dirty. The parking lot was packed with people smoking and drinking. the parking lot is very close to the beach which is a pro, the sunset was absolutely gorgeous too!Feel like the town could put some effort and money to making this beach a really nice place.

Its a nice, very scenic beach,. But if you are looking for a soft sandy beach with clear water this is not your beach. Its a rocky beach with lots of seaweed. But for waking and discovering and for scenery, its fantastic.

Very rocky and not the best beach to enjoy a swim. Even with water shoes, the rocks are a bit annoying. This beach is better as a hang out spot.

It was for residence only during the day so we werent able to go the entire peninsula. There was a high tide warning and shark warning, but our visit was not planned well for swimming at the beach. If we were able to drive past Sandy Restaurant and explore more the rating would probably be higher.

After visiting 5 other beaches in the cape cod area this one was finally the soot to go with available parking. Beach isnt big but its long and has many different spots to setup your site. Dont let plymouth long beach escape your thoughts when youre thinking of a place to go. This one was a great visit.

A very nice beach with pristine water. Located in a protected bay. The beach is made up of sand covering very course gravel and rocks. Bringing good footwear is advised. BONUS: dogs are allowed on leash at all times even in the water. You must clean up after your dog. This is a great place to have fun with Fido.

Plymouth beach is a great time. Only problem is the part where you would be sitting is extremely rocky with large rocks. As much as you move them you always find more. Fist sized many larger. Once you get to the water part though it is pretty much no rocks and your all good. The sun still hits the same as if you were anywhere else so still great for tanning. And sandys is right on the beach. Such a good place to eat.

The easily accessible part of Plymouth Beach is garbage. Filled with rocks, seaweed, flies, and very limited area to sit. The town should invest time and effort to take care of the beach.

Great experience very informative. I would definitely spend more time there. We only had 3 to 4 hours and we could have spent several more. There are actual native people who will talk about their culture and way of life, as well as actors portraying English settlers who stay in character the whole time.

Very rocky Beach. Park for 20 dollars for nothing because the water was gross any way but then they told me my kids cant wear their swimmies on their arms because its a town rule. Well thats great because it was just me with 4 kids so that couldnt happen. Thanks plymouth.

Staying in the Pilgrim Sands here. Its literally right on the waters edge, about 30 to 40 feet out from the edge of our balcony when tide is in. Its a little older, not first class accommodations, but not bad. But to look out and see just water... priceless!!!

Over regulation....sticker needed to drive down there....should be open to the public without a charge... after all ,every time it gets washed away the taxpayer is the 1 that foots the bill to fix it. But still a nice place to look out at the ocean. Not a very good beach to be on....too many rocks

Short drive from Plymouth center. We arrived as the tide was comin in. Our children wanted to go.looking for sea shells. We set their expectations a little low, telling them to expect to find mosty rocks. They were pleasantly surprised to find rocks, shells, and a few little friends that were photographed and released back into the water. We will be returning later this week.

$20 for parking and the water is not warm but not as cold as the North Shore. The facilities were well-maintained and Sandys beachfront restaurant or bar its quite good but I would recommend getting there early as the parking lot and space shrinks very quickly it is a long and narrow Beach with quite a few rocks but my experience was very good and the other reviewers described it quite well but the life guards were there but allowed us to drink and smoke with no issues and allowed kids to play and have fun without interfering which was a pleasant change so overall a very good experience and a family / dog friendly beach

Beautiful beach with great views. Swimming , kayaking , sunbathing and plenty of beach for the little ones to explore. Also there is a snack bar with great food and you can also enjoy a cold beer or a cocktail. There is a parking fee but well worth the price. Shh , Dont tell anyone but if you go all the way out to the end of the beach you discover some of the best Striper fishing on the south shore.
