Came here on a beautiful day. The monument is breathtaking for sure. The size and the amount of detail put into the granite is exquisite. Seeing in person is a wonderful experience. The space was open and the kids had fun exploring the area. Bathrooms were clean. This monument is a rare and exciting piece. I look forward to visiting again.

While this is a national monument, dont expect to see a large parking lot or great amenities. This is truly a monument and not a tourist attraction. Those who like monuments will find the one on the breathtaking side for size. I recommend taking in the quiet peace of the space.

This thing is huge, it’s funny it’s so tucked away most people don’t know it’s there. My father used to navigate his boat sighting it. Just north of Plymouth Rock & the Mayflower, it’s on a quiet side road. The day we went there were sporadic other visitors but we mostly had the place to ourselves. The sculptures are huge and detailed. Definitely take the time to go check it out.

Stunning and a must see if in Plymouth area. They say its too far from town tour guides but its about .8 miles uphill though. Downhill on way back. I think one should spend some time and take it in. Ponder the sacrifices of our fore fathers/mothers, also take in the true meaning as it tells a story/history of the foundation of this nation. The thing is huge and the largest of its type. Sad thing is I went to Plymouth on class trips several times and we never went there. Same goes for a friend whos wife grew up in Kingston(next town north). As she puts it Im ashamed to say I had never been there.Bring a seat if needed as there are none. Everyone needs to request they install benches

This was an unexpected pleasure in the Plymouth area. The sixty foot stone monument is imposing and evocative, the statues and carvings were interesting. The site consists of a monument atop a small grassy hill with street parking, there wasnt anyone there besides my spouse and I on the weekday afternoon we visited.

A bunch of us took the bikes for a ride to Plymouth to see this monument. This thing is HUGE ! Beautiful monument to the settlers/passengers who sailed on the Mayflower from England to the New World, Plymouth Rock. Every name of every passenger who was aboard the Mayflower is on the monument. Its pretty cool. Definitely a must see. Take advantage of seeing this if youre ever in the area.

Amazing monument! I hope to visit someday soon after watching about this particular monument on the Kirk Cameron documentary Monumental. I pray this monument will stand as a testament to the faith and reliance on God these men and women had on their long hard journey just to arrive in this new land, for religious freedom, not to mention their hardwork once they arrived to set up a form of a self governing society all while relying on Gods faithfulness even in such dark and grim times.Man oh man have we strayed far as a country from what these original founders envisioned and setup. I love America! She is the greatest and most free country ever, but we are headed in the wrong direction morally as a country and NO politician can fix our problems. We cannot put our trust in any man or woman. As the Pilgrims understood, God is our only hope, that was true then and its true now.BTW thank you to everyone that posted pictures here, I may never make it there (because of health issues), but the posted photos have been a great help to me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! God bless!

It is so inspiring to know that my forefathers came to this country nearly 400 years ago. We learned that the first winter was extremely difficult for those first pilgrims and many died due to the very harsh conditions. We lost four of our ancestors along with the many others who perished. We owe a debt of gratitude for what did to make it possible to enjoy the many freedoms we have including religious freedom.

This is most likely the most underrated tourist stop in Plymouth. The statue itself is a work of engineering genus, art, and history. There was literally no one there but my group when we showed up and its really cool. A ranger stopped by and gave us some great information about the Monument and I did notice that you really gotta give it a few minutes. There are SO many hidden meanings and everything has a significance. I cannot recommend this enough! The parking is free and easily obtained and the information was awesome. Its truly a shame more people dont see the Monument, I do think it may have the fact that it could be taken as far too political and Christian for many groups. It talks about the fundamentals this country was built on, including God. Myself being a Christian this was really inspiring as an American as well. I highly recommend this to all people.
