Beach is nice. city really didnt out much into it this year. the state side is well maintained and combed.

Water is nice, place is maintained pretty well for the most part. If youd like to avoid a lot of people when you go, go around 4-5 pm.

Quiet peaceful good beach weather you looking to yoga meditate have a swim play etc.... great place though

Have been in Plattsburgh NY in October 2017.A small but very lovely place to stay and enjoy the beach and the beautiful views surrounding the city.

For the price its one of the best lake beaches in the area. Not very crowded and it has a small bar and the entry cost is much cheaper than beaches in the montreal area. Only 9 usd for a car 2 adults and 2 kids. OKA beach is 3 times more expensive and you get a whole lot of people/trafic and musquitos. This beach is worth the 1h20min drive from montreal.

Very tranquil and cozy little beach. Great place you and that special someone, the family or... Just a simple walking/ thinking session by your lonesome its great. Nice little escape.

Very nice beach for a lake beach in this area, water often clear n clean, beach itself well maintained and cleaned, calm water mostly and warm enough in summer time.It lacks a kayak rental and a decent restaurant or store, make sure everything is packed.Parking is super close to beach itself.

Fun family beach day!

The views were very nice. But thats about it.1- there were not enough picnic tables so we ended up eating on the ground.2- the charcoal barbecues looked disgusting, luckily we brought sandwiches.3- overcrowded beaches, its too small to accommodate that many people4- uneven grass area5- the bathrooms were so disgusting, all the doors were all broken down and only two were clean (which still had broken down doors).This beach has a lot of potential to be something even better.

It was a great view of the north end of Lake Champlain but the beach and walkways were trashy and very uninviting.

Nice Beach, Windy (not sure if it was just that day) the only downside, were the bathrooms... Theyre very disgusting and dirty. Besides that, the sand is soft, the water is warm and fresh.I would still recommend despite the bathrooms.

Very nice and clean beach but Pets are not allowed on beach and very few hotels near beach. Plenty of paid parking space available. You can definitely come here with family.

Great pit stop right off 87 to swim in some clean lake water. 10 but dollars to park but worth it. If you have a flotation thing you want to use you have to walk 100 ft down the beach outside of lifeguard area but no big deal at all.

We were in lake George beach. And it was great. There was a lot of space. Then we drove up to plattsburgh, and the beach was just okay. It wasnt open, (someone had broken the front lock) but the beach was packed, and the water looked clean.

Visited the beach on September 1, prior to its closing for the season. Nice long and wide beach with benches for picnics. Only $10 for parking for non Plattsburgh residents. No entrance fee. Beautiful view of Lake Champlain. Washrooms were not very clean, but decent. However it was extremely windy that day making it difficult to BBQ.

Beautiful beach. Alcohol permitted. No dogs in general beach area. Lifeguard on duty. 9 bucks for day pass during the week. Not sure about weekends.

Theres a very small swimming area thats very shallow, but its a safe place for kids and beginner swimmers to learn without so much worry of deep water. Not enough lifeguards on duty usually so swimming can be crowded.

Used my Town of Plattsburgh FREE seasonal pass today. Plenty of parking, the beach is nicely groomed and there is plenty of room to spread out. Im planning on coming back due the next few weeks of my staycation. A real gem!

Its not a big beach, not ideal if you are looking for a beach swim and majestic sights. But I can see why the locals would hang out there, a good place to go to sit on the beach, chat with friends, and/or bring your dog.Very limited swimming, and limited beach. But the walk was nice along the trail. It doesnt go too far, but its good for an easy walk along the beach and part way through a park trail. We didnt stay long as it was small, but we did take a brief walk about. There is a canteen there.

Love walking beach and bike paths. Use to be free now the city charges . I dont like charging people lake champlain should be free for everyone the way it use to be

Great beach, very well maintained. Really big too. There was a lifeguard on duty when we were there, a tiki bar and a store that sold beach toys.

Nice beach . but no bathrooms . or pervilon .. Plattsburgh should have clean water bathrooms and shower rooms . through out the beach. Water spikets and fountains . I saw so many people leave the beach today .. Because of this. .bathroom port a potty .next to the needle drop box. . poor .sight. On beach.

Awesome place for locals and out of towners. Accept us and cdn currencies on their premises. Great clean easy access beach , perfect for everyone from kids to adults.

The only negative would be the bathroom situation, which could use some improvement. Overall, its a super terrific place to spend the day!

What a fun, city-supported beach. Its clean and family friendly.

It was a nice beach. Nothing too fancy. It had washrooms and changerooms, which was nice. You could only swim in a small spot and if you went outside of the section, the Lifeguard would blow their whistle at you (which is good). There were a lot of kiteboarders... Which was cool to see.

Nice beach but lifegaurds are a bother. Wouldnt let my son use his snorkel and you are not free to go in water anywhere you want. If you are an adult you should be able to swim where you want.

Why so shallow? Why was everyone crowded in 2 sections? Anyway, gets point for sandy beach and gorgeous lake.

Its the saddest thing that I have a beach I dont want nothing to do with. Yes its small and does have potential but its dirty half the time and I hate that from time to time find needles or drugs in the sand. Not to mention that Vermont has plants that dump waste into the lake and contaminates our water. So why would I like to go to this beach, I dont. I rather wait and drive down a weekend to NYC and go back to my old local beaches. Believe it or not theyre way much cleaner than Plattsburgh beach.

Great day out at only an hour drive of Montréal. Nice beach with overall good facilities. A good experience at the beach at a relatively very low cost. What a change with the overpriced plage Jean Drapeau in Montréal.... Plattsburgh

Great clean beach with clean water. Has a place to buy trinkets for kids to play with, has a food stand and a bar! Or you can bring your own beverages as long as they are not glass. Also offers areas to barbecue and offers fun activities such as volleyball or open mic night, which the cabana beach bar sponsors.

Best fresh water beach in North America.

Ive only been here before the summer season was in full swing, so early and mid June but the views were beautiful and the crowds minimal. Great place to spend a nice warm day relaxing and enjoying the water and views.

Poor management and rude staff. Avoid this section of the beach. Also found out that the sewage plant is not far from the beach in the same bay of the lake.
