It was a great time! Where do I begin? Week of Thanksgiving was the perfect time to go. The weather was perfect. No rain! we didnt even need a jacket, day or night. The crowd size was way less than normal. I was pleased with the safety guidelines that were being followed as far as Covid is concerned. They were making you hand sanitize before and after rides and you had to have your mask on properly at all times. I witnessed someone being removed from a ride for not wanting to wear their mask. All of the rides and shows were great. It was easy to get photos with the characters even though they were with social distancing. Overall, it was great.

We had a great time here. People say you can do the parks in two days, and you probably can. But I like to go a little slower and look for all the details, shows, experiences, and interactions with the cast members. And ride the rides multiple times. We did three days from park open to about 2pm or exhausted children and would hop from one park to the other. My kids favorite rides we The Hulk, Jurassic Park and One Fish Two (which we lovingly referred to as baby shark) because they could ride with their little brother. As a grown up, The Hulk was my favorite ride! And Hogsmead village is so well done.We also did The Holiday VIP Tour on Thanksgiving night. Such a fun experience! Especially for any Harry Potter lover. Our guide told us all kinds of fun facts about the parks. We got to go behind the scenes. We really started our holiday season off with a very festive experience.

The park is doing a great job of reminding people to wear masks. Social distancing is only really a thing in lines though. The experience has been amazing and were still at the park on our first day ever.A great feature is that when you buy wands at Olivanders (possibly other places) they can hold them for you at the entrance when youre done which is quite wonderful.Get the butter beerIf you find a virtual line ride is overbooked, check back frequently as it can change quickly.

Like I said in my review of the Universal side, these parks are my top choice of amusement, I mean they are just hard to compare. Islands of Adventure has the original Harry Potter world, with Hogsmeade village, HOGWARTS CASTLE and the new Hagrid motorbike ride which is my pick for best ride at all of the parks! Plus there’s Marvel Superhero Island that has some good rides and just makes you feel like you landed in a comic book, and then you actually do walk into Comic strip area. Jurassic Park is spooky and exciting, tons of rides in that area, Kong is a good one. Dr Seuss land is a fairytale for kids, every little detail is paid attention to at these parks and I just love it. They are doing a stellar job of following covid measures, and the line waits have been awesome because people have to distance so it doesn’t take as long as you think it will. Also some really actually good places to eat in the parks, which hasn’t been the norm for theme parks in the past. Love love love LOVE this place!!!

As usual...... All the Orlando Parks are MAGICAL! We had a very good time. It helped that we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel which provides their guests the privilege of going through most of the rides via the Express Lanes; therefore, we didnt have to make long lines. They are pretty strict about everyone wearing their masks at all times, with the exception of restaurants, when seated at your table. At the start of every ride, theres a person providing hand sanitizer before you go into the actual ride. Although I saw a few times when, after each ride, the seats, rails, etc. were supposed to be sanitized before the next person/s were allowed to enter, and it was not done. But in general, they followed the law and tried to keep us safe. At the end of the day, you shouldnt rely on others. We took our own supplies, were careful of what we touched, and enjoyed to the max!!! I was a little sad that there were no shows, saw less employees, and noticed areas of the parks not well lit, but understand its the times were living in today. I pray and hope to see normality back soon!!!

Universal is taking the right precautions. They put hand sanitizer on your hands before every ride, social distancing markers for where to stand. And they had people walking around to remind people to wear masks correctly, or guests were asked to leave. On top of being really fun, they genuinely seemed to care about everyones safety.

I love this park. Its not Disney and thats a good thing. Its not totally saccharine sweet to the point of being fake, but crew members are still super nice. This park speaks more to a broad family as opposed to being only for kids. Young kids will love Seuss Landing, older kids will love Jurassic Park and Marvel Super Hero Island. Parents will love the fact that they dont have to one child over the other.

Heres my familys experience at Islands of Adventure. Most of my comments are pretty basic, not looking to insult anyones Universal intelligence. The more expensive parking gets you a little closer, but not much.Get the park-to-park ticket, so you can go to both parks on the same day.Make sure you have the Universal App loaded on your phone, it is essential to watch ride times. When Islands of Adventure opens, select a virtual line time for Hagrid on the Universal App. If you dont select a virtual line right away, you will be and likely not get on Hagrid.Dont play around. Get to the park when they open, so you can get on 2-3 popular rides in the morning without much waiting in lines.Stay late, so you can get on popular rides without the long lines.Thunder Falls Terrace has surprisingly good food. The roast chicken meal is big enough to feed two.Got little Potter fans, spend the money and get a wand.

AMAZING!!! It was busy and hot, but so worth it. The first day we didnt arrive until after 12 so it was humid and the lines were extremely long. The second day we got it together and got to the park at 830 and automatically got virtual passes for the 3 available. The cocktails were great and all in all it was a good weekend. However I just wish they had more options when it comes to virtual lines. Like I said there was only 3 available for both days I was there. And they cut them off very sporadically. Every ride should have a virtual line just so people can plan better and actually practice social distancing, versus all clumping together in front to the ride entrance waiting for virtual to open.

I didn’t get to snap a picture but the Hulk ride is the best ride of this park hands down. The Jurassic park ride definitely needs some love lol. But this park has most of the roller coasters so if you’re looking for that I’d pay for this park. But if you want the full experience I’d say pay for all 3 parks. I’d definitely recommend getting to the park right as it opens even in these times the parks are packed.

Plus everytime you ride and attraction they hand sanitize your hands.

One of the best and most memorable days of my life. Every staff member we ran across went above and beyond to smile, and wave at us. Everyone was happy. We finished all the rides by 5 pm but maybe that was because we went on a Thursday. There was almost no wait time in any of the rides. And what an amazing job they did during covid, while maintaining social distancing, mask requirement, mask free rest zones, and providing hand sanitizer before and after every ride.

Must say Universal has it set up fantastic. Much better than Disney. Now I know there are huge Disney supporters but the one thing is Disney should not charge full price for a much lessor experience. Our recent experience at Disney was full price, stores closed, no meet and greets. All good based on what is going on but to charge what they do and no discount? Universal has dedicated areas where you social distance and can sit and take your mask off for a few minutes without having to eat or drink something. Yearly membership incentives and just a great vibe. We bought the top pass for the year and got 15 months plus other incentives. We do this for our 6 yr old however, the adults need to have a bit of fun too. At Universal, that happens. Enjoy!

It turns out that they say nothing that you have to reserve the attraction for the App and that you have to download it in order to do the reservation, once they tell me, I did it and there was never enough space, I totally left the park without riding the attraction because you have to do it for the application, which seems very unfair, especially for tourists like me. So so so disappointed because it’s an expensive ticket and the fact that we can no do the newest attraction because I didn’t reserve the attraction when I got to the park because there were not notice anything about it before I bought the ticket.

Pretty much walking right up to rides (longest we waited was for Spiderman, mid-day, 15min). The app is nice addition to the experience, I recommend installing prior to arriving (specially if its still covid-19 times, as theyre not handing out paper maps). Went for the first time after Thanksgiving and as can be expected the park was at full capacity around noon when we went. We were not allowed in until after 5pm! They said try coming back another day which of course wasnt possible. A reservation system like Disney is using wouldve been preferable because otherwise unless you get there at opening youre basically risking it. Not feasible for people coming from outta town. If youre main concern is Covid then it was still pretty crowded even at 5pm when they eventually let us in. Masks were enforced even on rides but it felt a little more lax (not that we minded). Wait times for popular rides was still 60+min and there was no little to no plexiglass in those long winding lines. Hogsmead was pretty cool but easily the most crowded. Glad we checked it out now because i would hate to visit during regular capacity. The park was overall enjoyable.

Just ok, The virtual ticket experience is horrible, we tried multiple times to get a virtual ticket with multiple devices and nothing ever worked. No times were ever available which ruined the experience of being able to get on certain rides. Prices throughout the park are in a good range and the rides we were able to go on were good. Some people working concession stands need to be removed and placed some where people arent going to be do to poor or rude service as they didnt say thank you or your welcome we were not even given the full explanation on how the drink refills worked until the following day from another person. Having security tell several of us to put our masks on while we were drinking or eating was very frustrating I guess your supposed to stay where ever you bought the product. Spent thousands for a mediocre experience and a couple rides were even shut down due to malfunctions as they stated. Maybe its all due to the virus issue going on and most people didnt want to be working during the holiday times but if you know the job requires you to be dont work here.

Right from City Walk appearing at the horizon youre greeted with The Hulk. Now thats something you dont see every day.Tip: When you get hand sanitizer from the park or an employee, clap your hands. It works better when applying it on.Depending on the kids age range and being an adrenaline junkie or not anyone can go on the coasters. And everyone can experience something they have interest in. The Hulk is mainly the most intense coaster, Hagrids is just really fast with no upside-down loops.Compared to Disney the food is way better, although at some locations due to COVID I think, food can be underprepared and cold. I wont be missing the plastic cheese at Disney. One downside is that everything needs lockers compared to Disney they dont need them. It would be nice if Universal invested some RND money to make a Magic Band like device where we can put it on our watch or wrists (like Volcano Bay). This so that we dont have to carry around the paper temporary locker tickets or a phone. To get this off my chest, the The Lost Continent section where Poseidons Fury is located needs to be removed. They either need to expand this area to include more Harry Potter stuff like bringing back Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge or introducing more coasters. This section always has the attraction down and its most likely losing money for Universal.

When we arrived at Islands of Adventure at 9:00am on Tuesday Hagrids was not running due to technical difficulties and Kong was closed until 10am. Furthermore, the majority of the park was roped off until 10am. The only thing that seemed to be open was Forbidden Journey and that had a 50 minute wait by 9:30am.I really dont mind rides being down due to technical difficulties. Things happen and rides need maintenance, I get that. What I dont understand is being told at hotel check-in that we can take advantage of early park admission only to find out that the majority of the park is closed until 10am and that the majority of rides will not be running until 10am. Maybe at check-in they can communicate to guests that although there is early park admission not all sections of the park, and not all rides, will be open?

This was my first time at the Universal Parks. It was like stepping into a fantasy. I loved this so much. All the rides were amazing. The food and drinks were delicious. I recommend getting an Express Pass. Those made a world of difference. Lines that would have been an hour were 15 minutes or less.

Poor customer experience with the App, in the park, in two different restaurants. Two of the best attractions are only accessible with virtual lines, and tickets for the virtual lines can only be obtained through the app, at certain times of the day. Make sure to look at your phone every 5min if you want to get one!A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!

Super fun place. We had so much fun as a family. Universal did a great job with distancing. Wear comfy shoes because its a ton of walking.

Very well designed.. you wouldnt like the Saturday crowd any given weekend but Sundays are fun.. shorter lines, less people and you feel like the park is all for you.. some rides getting well deserved maintenance and upgrades.. waiting for them to open.. Christmas Eve could be awesome here..

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. From Jimmy Fallon, Spiderman to all the Harry Potters ride. I had an awesome, screaming, lost my voice, got a lil motion sickness but I dont care good time. Make your way out there the lines are long but they move so fast even with following all the covid guidelines its much faster to maneuver your way to a lot of rides. Have a good time. Stay safe. Stay blessed.

Islands of Adventure is a signature staple amongst theme parks. Its one of, if not the best parks to visit with friends, family, or just by yourself for the weekend. I have had many awesome visits at this park and always look forward to heading back. Theyre super considerate, especially to people with disabilities like myself. 10/10 will always recommend.

Everything was so cool! The staff are helpful and nice, yes there are very long lines but its part of the experience. And they are doing a great job with the CDC guidelines. Most of the people who went to the park also followed the six foot rule and kept their mask on.

Ive never actually WANTED to leave a theme park until universal. On top of the insane prices of food, tickets, and the express passes, its just not a fun experience. Ill admit, the coasters are actually fun when you dont have to wait several hours to ride a few, but its negated by the lines. Mobile ordering is ridiculous when items on the mobile menu arent on the restaurant menu and they refuse to offer a refund. Finally the workers here dont seem to have clear guidance on what their jobs are or how to enforce standards set by the park. Overall I felt like I was at a county fair rather than a multi million dollar theme park.
