Don’t go. It’s over hunted and too small and wet for anything else.

This is a very nice place to live in addition to having one of the best views towards the lake. It has the residential place of one of the best areas in Utah, the views are beautiful, the mornings see the horizon and as in the afternoons the sun It reflects in the lake and when it starts dusk and to get into the sun is the best view you could not miss it, magnificent place.

Great if you like to wade through sewage treatment water! Also you must have waders and never underestimate how deep the water is no matter if it looks like a puddle.

Im not sure what this actually is. Depending on the season, you may have to forge your own path into this place. There are some needle plants on the outskirts but the main part is made up of grass (roughly 9ft tall). That said, its not as smelly as the rest of the lake shore and there are fewer mosquitos than you would expect. I go here mainly to explore and catch frogs.

Peaceful, quiet, soggy marsh area. Would be best to wear wellies or hip waders if you want to get anywhere close to the lake. Had to stop because I was wearing tennis shoes and they got too wet. Moderately lonely; bring friends to avoid loneliness.

Hours of searching yielded no passage through this apathetic marshland. Various forsaken objects and derelict watercraft shed no light on the history of this place or the incident which led to the areas abandonment. The only apparent creatures are small blackbirds that seem to mock my entrapment with their freedom to fly, but strange noises and scurried motions in the peripherals of my vision hint that something else is watching. Overall a fascinating and mysterious experience. Also very lonely.

Not really a place for people to go. Birds and ducks seem to like it.

I hate this place. Its too quiet. Theres been no sight nor sound of a bird for two days. All dead. All rotten. Dont follow the lights. Be sure to be careful or youll go down to join the dead ones, and light little candles of your own.

By far the most poorly managed waterfowl area Ive ever been to. As a hunter, I was extremely disappointed. Maybe good for bird watchers, but even then, saw practically nothing. The DWR is supposed to manage places like these to make them desirable for both birds and people, but this is a horrible place for both. There is no open water anywhere, everywhere has been taken over by a variety of aquatic plants. The DWR needs to get off their tush and manage this place like theyre supposed to, or quit claiming that its a managed area.

Nothing really there. Some info signs that have completely rotted, and so much (Foxtail? Cattail?) that you cant see much of anything. And it feels creepy lonely...

New bird watcher and in one hour I saw over 40 birds including two red-tallied hawks, quail, seagulls, goldfinches, and a bunch of species I could not identify. It is kind of a wasteland though.
