One of the best regional parks in So Cal. The Zoo is small but fun, there are miles of trails for hiking and biking, and the grounds are well kept and vast with tons of areas to cook and gather.

This place was so much fun for our one year old. Beautiful views! Lots of grassy area for him to run around in. Lots of activities just make sure you have little time for the line for the pumpkin patch or train rides because the lines do get long but I think they go pretty fast. Parking may be full over by this area but there is another parking spot pretty close to it.The train ride rides all the way around the park it’s so fun for a little ones .There is a tractor ride too for the park. Otherwise everything else in the park is just free to walk and enjoy. Tons of beautiful animals all over the property. Peacocks everywhere they don’t bother you but they get pretty close which is really neat.. There is a snack bar that has a few general things cheeseburgers hotdogs snacks. This park is very affordable. So many trees and gorgeous property well-kept. Pony rides are also available only open until four. The pumpkin patch and amenities besides the general park are open till six. The whole park closes at nine until time change. You can rent a bike that holds your whole family on it and ride around the whole park which is really fun. We still finding out more information and I’ll share soon.

Love this place. Theres something for everyone here. You have the more manicured part of the park with pathways and the lake and then you have tons of trails going in many directions for hiking, horse back riding, mountain biking.Theres even a stable where you can go on a guided horseback ride in the park. Tons of green areas to put down a blanket and have a picnic too. Playground areas for the kids (currently closed due to Covid-19 though)And a small zoo!

Lots to do, especially during the Fall/Pumpkin Patch season. Pony rides, train ride, hay ride, carnival games etc. Outside of the Pumpkin Patch there were paddle boat and Surrey bike rentals which our family of 3 (2 adults and a 3.5 year old) really enjoyed. Prices for everything seemed reasonable for us. Theres a lake and lots of lovely grassy areas. We will definitely be going back.

This place is awesome to spend time on family!. You can do a delicious barbecue. Alcohol free. Park with many ways to have fun. They rent many kind of bicycles..(if you dont have one). You can ride bike for hours is a big park! Super clean and there is always rangers driving around making sure everything is under control.they have a small lake that you can get a boat for couple dollars and ride a pedal plastic boat, thats incredibly righ guess what they have a small area where they have animals which included real ponies for kids to ride well you pay for a ride but not bad price$ and Peacock birds we always touch them they actually outside so they are walking between everyone is there. horses for adults to ride pretty horses for ride playgrounds for kids and ️ If you like soccer is actually a nice place to go and spend time with family and friends cost 5$ dollars to get in but is worth it.

I just love this place. Came here once with my fiance to explore the forts and once with my friend to hike. We spotted succulents and wildflowers along our hike. Its not strenuous to hike around this place. Its more like a nice stroll in the hills with gorgeous views of the ocean, the bridge, and the city of CA. Overall its a great place spend some time with your dogs, your lover, or friends.

This is as close to a Central Park as we get in Orange County, but without the crime. Its huge, beautiful, and has something for everyone. Theres a large pond with paddle boats, horseback riding, a kiddie train, baseball backstops, horseshoe pits, and a zoo of native animals. There are lots of picnic tables, lots of parking, a nature center, bicycle paths, pedal surrey and bicycle rentals, snack stands, fishing, and many very old oak trees and eucalyptus trees. I like to watch all the ground squirrels running around. This was James Irvines picnic area, and he donated it to the city. A gentle breeze blows through the valley, making it cooler than surrounding areas. Bring your picnic and spend the day.

We love the OC Zoo, and the pony rides inside the Irvine Regional Park. The park is large and green, with huge trees, and wide walking and strollering paths. If you get an OC Parks pass, then the parking fee is included, and if you get a Santa Ana Zoo membership card, the OC Zoo entry is included in that. The walking and trotting ponies are located right where the train is, and the area is green, shaded and calm. Pony rides are $6. There are food and restrooms there, but the food is faire prices, and the restrooms inside the zoo are better. During Covid19 pandemic, the train, zoo and pony rides are all open, with masks and social distancing in place, and a one way path inside the zoo. The petting zoo itself is closed, but the kids can still see the goats and sheep.

I used to enjoy strolling around Disneyland a few times each month. Cant now! So instead I do Irvine Regional Park. No Haunted Mansion here, but I dont remember any raucous woodpeckers at Disneyland. We love this park, and the zoo! It’s not our first visit and won’t be our last. These cooler months and Christmas time are are extra special, especially for the little ones. The mountain lions are fantastic to watch train and the keeps are great with them. We love every visit we have here and can’t say enough great things. We absolutely adore the goats and our time with them. If you need boots broken in, this is the place to go, lol! But seriously, they love using your boots as a scratching post, and I am happy to oblige. It actually felt nice. They are the sweetest, and their biggest goat, donated from a kiddo who couldn’t bear for his or her 4H goat to suffer a sad fate (thank you!) is amazing and precious! Might be our favorite!

Great place to go hiking. I chose one of the more advanced trails but the pictures prove that it was worth it. The only downside I had to the whole experience were the bike riders. Pretty nice place. Lots of things to do. Open grass, train rides, zoo, baseball field, equestrian center, biking, hiking, fishing, and more. I went on a hike. It was nice. On a clear day I probably could have seen the ocean. However, the park didnt have a great feel. It was quite noisy, with lots of people. I could also hear jetliners above, and also the freeway. There were lots of families having picnics, riding horses (you can rent horses to ride the trails), riding bikes, peddling the little 2 - 4 person pedal vehicles, walking and enjoying the lakes. No worries about being too close to others, there is plenty of space. The restrooms were open, too.Someone had a question about renting horses.
