Very interesting stop. More than just tourist info. There is a boardwalk out from the rear of the building that offers a unique view of the plants and wildlife of the areaThe manager of the site showed us where an alligator was basking as well as a couple of snakes. Told us a lot about the area and was very helpful and friendly.

Omg this the best & I mean the BEST welcoming center i have been too. Not only is the staff super knowledgeable but friendly. I was so happy to stop here use the super clean rest rooms & grab a snack. Also took a tour of the swamp they have out back. I will defiantly stop here every single time i go on vacation.

Is Texas what else can I say. The welcome station is very unique looking and its something you should see. And when you leave get up to speed quickly as it is 75 miles per hour. No kitty cat footing around hahaha

I NEVER stop here. We as Texans are better than this. The rest stop is dark, dirty, smells like sewer and is too small for such a major entry point to our state. (Even lousiana has a better rest stop.) Contact Bucees, maybe they would be intrested in Partnering with the state to provide a true Texas experience. Interstate 10. Good Greif. In the last 35 years I dont ever recall it not being under construction. Finish it already. Our public officials should be embarrassed by the first impression they present to visitors when entering our fabulous state.

It was flooded from before the entrance all through the parking lots and ditches. They need to adjust their drainage

Always clean and a great place to pick up brochures. Also has a nice place to stroll through the back walkways and take in nature and natural marshland.
