A very nice little park, but kind of rough on such a hot day. The only parking is down at the Cherry Grove boat ramp. Its approximately a half a mile hike down to the end of this. Parts of it may be wheelchair friendly, but definitely not all of it. There were little holes in the trail, and found crabs running in and out of them. Signs along the trail about wildlife and such. And two little picnic areas down there very secluded.

Lovely boardwalk with a good deal of nature. Saw lots of egrets and herons. An osprey dove for and caught a fish right in front of us. Tons of little crabs. Even saw a glass lizard! Very serene area. One area was flooded out and we had to turn around. Would like to have explored more but I got a bit sunburnt and being pregnant I tire pretty easily, so we cut it short.

Lovely day on the salt marsh; part of the House River. We used the kayak input just easy of west of the Cherry Grove boat landing. Timed the incoming tide to help take us into the marsh and used the outgoing tide to bring us back. We could easily approach tri-colored herons, egrets, and other birds. It can be a little confusing once you get out into the marsh so pick one of the large hotels or houses along to banks as a landmark to help navigate into and back out. We will definitely come back to this place.

Great walk!! Easy walk with a stroller. Great views. The good boardwalk is at the end of the road. At first we thought the area near the parking lot was it and was disappointed. But I was wrong. We found the geocache and that was fun. It was very well hidden. The kids had a blast. This was one of 3 places we went to that day that were all close together.

Very nice nature preserve! There is a parking lot a block from the entrance. The walking trails are child friendly! There are little info plaques that talk about the plants and animals in the nature preserve, which were fun to stop and read! It was nice to be able to walk out and see the intercoastal waterway and watch for dolphins and birds!

A very nice peaceful nature preserve. Not very big, but makes for a satifying walk in the salt marshes. Parking is a few short blocks away by the boat ramp. Look for the sign near the boat ramp. The trails are a combination of dirt walking paths and boardwalks. The dirt paths at the salt marshes are pocked with the holes of fiddler crabs that pop out and dash back in if they see you. Fun! Realize that those holes are your clue that you are in the intertidal areas that will be covered in water at some high tides or storm tides...so plan your visit to avoid getting stuck and having to walk in the water to get back to the entrance. When I went the tides had been dropping and those low points were still wet...but the soil is pretty solid so aside from getting the soles of your shoes wet you wont probably find yourself getting stuck in mud.

Very nice space. Well maintained, and people can view a variety of wildlife. Just in the time I was there, I saw a few different types of crabs, several bird types, and some fish. I will say there were some biting bugs, however they are pretty much everywhere. Its a good spot to run in the mornings and its fairly quiet and peaceful. Pretty views.

This is a beautiful, serene preserve with walkways, paths and views of the intercoastal Waterway. Walking through the Marsh is truly a wonderful experience in nature. One can see the inlet waves crashing from the ocean to the Waterway during the short hike. Plus, Gorgeous sunsets! One word of caution; however. Yesterday, we experienced more of nature than we expected. After watching the beautiful sunset, we started walking back and found that much of the walking path back to the entrance of the preserve was submerged due to the rising waters from the Waterway. We had to wade back in up to 2 feet of water in most places. It was a little nerve-wracking since we did not know how much further the water would rise by the time we got back to higher ground. Luckily, all went well, and we made it back safely. However, I would suggest that the Park officials post warning signs so that visitors will know that the possibility exists. In any case, it was really a treat. Thank you for maintaining the park condition and cleanliness.
