Really amazing pier. Fun for fishing and for kids to run around! Beautiful scenery! Highly recommend checking it out! Parking was free but admissions were $3. Great place!

Certainly one comes to the rough planked 985 foot pier for fishing, but the beach also offers a nice escape of sun, surf and larger size shells. The pier offers a small cafe, a bait shop run by a crusty looking character that didn’t seem most talkative and a stretch of pier for many of those who were throwing in a line. But sunbathers beware as there are no amenities and the few come with a price. No bathrooms, unless you pay the pier toll of $3 and walk the plank to the outdoor bathrooms that haven’t been updated since the pier was built. Argh, matey. No parking, unless you shell out (no pun intended) $10 for a rough, dirt lot. Even off season parking fee still applies Friday thru Sunday. The young lady in the vehicle by the entrance does nicely inform you that you can park free across the road in the parking ramp. No showers/rinse off station. The one available is in a locked area clearly informing for resort guests only. Eateries are few and far in between and the few we saw had little to no parking. So, fishing yes. Sunbathing no. A lot more beach friendly piers around.

Being on the beach is great, but being out over the water is a while different feel. The fishing folks like it obviously, but you can still enjoy for a walk over the water. At end, a bit of sway will be noticeable.Parking at the sand lot by the pier now seems to be a permanent charged choice. A guy in his jeep collects your 10 bucks and gives you a placard to put on your dash.--Its only $3 to actually use the pier per person. And theres some interesting gifts to pick up with local nature items focused.A good stop whether you are local or visiting.

Excellent place. Dont complain about the $3 fee per person. Just walking on the pier is worth the money. The view and the wind blowing by with a taste of salt. Very nice fishing pier! We came a little before closing just to walk out to the end for a few minutes and the person working just let us go out there for free, which was very nice and saved us from paying $3 per person! Ive been on several fishing piers and this was one of the cleanest ones Ive seen! There were lots of benches for fishermen. There are bathrooms at the start of the pier. The store had a variety of items, from snacks to decor items, for purchase.

Everything costs $, even just walking on the pier. We parked in a garage that said $3 an hour but the gates were open. $10 parking beach side. When we visited, a storm was rolling in. We got stopped to pay to be on the pier. Not much ($3 p/p), but with lightening a possibility it seemed a little ridiculous.

I remember my Dad taking us to this pier when we were younger and I visited recently and it looks the same as it did 10 years ago. Free parking which is always great & a nice area of the beach! Pricing to fish was reasonable but I would recommend to bring your own bait & fishing rod. The weather was nice although it got a little chilly - as it was December.
