Lots of interesting history here. A number of plaques to explain the events surrounding the battle.
We took the kids here on a mild night in February and it was a great way to add a bit of drama to an important history lesson and pay respect to those that fought. Laura Secord is buried here. At night the lights of the city below the hill look lovely. It has some lighting but take a flashlight.
Iconic and historic area. Unfortunate the city has Highway 20 running through.Regardless, erected here is an archway dedicated to the battlefield with plaques and some local buildings preserved on the site.Local tourism should be more focused on its historic past than a prosperous present of the casino area.
Many detailed markers and I love old cemeteries.
Good place
Lots of history of the war of 1812
