Sorry but IMO it’s not worth the entrance fee ($47.51 inc. taxes & fees) due to COVID restrictions. You get soft serve, a toffee and cotton candy, but can only eat it outside, can never take the mask off and can’t go in the sprinkle pool. They have enough hand sanitizer and gloves available. Great for kids, tho. Might be best to wait for restrictions to relax after the vaccine comes out.

Awesome place for cool photos ops. The whole experience is pretty cool. You get 2 servings of ice cream. One soft serve with sprinkles ( FYI the sprinkles are kind hard and crunchy ) then you get a salt water taffy in the next room. Each room had a fun experience. My highlight was the slide. Brings the kid out of you. The sprinkle pool is only for photos. Can’t play in it, besides they’re made of rubber. Not easily moved.

I honestly wish I would have went last year. Going during a quarantine is a waste of money. You only receive two Ice cream samples, both must be eaten outside in the freezing cold, and then the last sample, the only options were peanut butter and chocolate (I hate both flavors). I’m just this is probably amazing during summer and outside of covid but as for right now, save your money unless you’re going for the dope photo opts

Before coming here I should’ve read the reviews. I agree with those who say it’s a waste of money, it’s cool for the the pictures but other than that the pandemic takes away from the experience. And not to mention this seems like it’s more catered for children and pre teens. I don’t know if I would come back here because the only HYPE is the Instagram photos. The staff are nice and chill but I’ll think twice before coming to one of these museums again. But if you must go, I recommend going in the summer and when the pandemic is over.

So...If you are someone who enjoys a good Instagram photo then this is your place. However, if you think this is an ACTUAL museum with information about ice cream...then no, avoid at all costs. The pros: The staff was amazing. They are very cautious, and clean all surface areas. The slide was fun. The cons: They only give you ice cream 2x (very small amount), and you dont even get to choose what ice cream you get, for $45.00+ I should AT LEAST get one scoop of whatever I want. All in all it really depends on what kind of experience you are looking for. It wasnt for me.

Unfortunately we had a horrible experience. From the start there is a long wait until they actually let you up, all that talking on each floor from the team members was extremely unnecessary and the kids were bored. The worst thing is that if you bring a coat you have to carry it throughout the whole experience which is absolutely ridiculous, like you pay all that money and no coat check? There is couple of cool things to see but it’s very limited to children. You should eliminate the amount of talking as people just like to do their own thing. Ice cream was really good though but you have to eat it outside which is ridiculous again! Also my nephew lost his hoodie there and it magically disappeared because all the amount of people working there but nobody found it! I was extremely disappointed!! Will never return again!

This museum disappoints in both “museum” and “ice cream”. While the staff was great and the place was clean, the exhibits are not very engaging. You will find yourself standing in a colorful room wondering why you paid $39 to look at plastic treats on a table or projected clouds on a wall. You will eat ice cream 1.5 times while you are there (soft serve will be provided at the beginning and store bought, lack luster Italian ice at the end). If you are expecting a tour of ice cream, this is not what you’re looking for. If you are expecting to look at colorful rooms for an hour, then this is your place. The best part of the museum was great company, so if you go, go with good friends.

This museum is so much fun! I went in January with my sister and we had a blast! It’s something to do for all ages and the free ice cream samples are great as well! They have a sprinkle pool, a slide, a mini play ground, dozens of photo op rooms and much more! I’ve been to the MOIC in Miami as well, and this one is definitely more fun! 100% worth the visit if you’re ever in NY!

Woohoo it was fun. The best part was the longest slide in New York. Three stories long and exhilarating. The soft serve ice cream machine didnt work so I felt our private tour party of 17 should have been compensated in a couple of points to take home or an extra scoop at the end. The macaroons and taffy were really good as well. They are cashless do the group I was with ere developmentally disabled and dont have access to credit cards. Ss a result they couldnt purchase take home pints, of one of the many souvenirs of games, which was disappointing for them to feel excluded. They loved the interactive exhibits though.

I had a great time at this museum! The staff was super friendly & upbeat . You are able to access a fair amount of attractions for the price. I did visit durning covid & it sucked to have to take pictures with the mask on but I understood why. I did have a 25-35 min wait in line to enter the museum even though I had tickets and an appointment. The staff were constantly wiping & cleaning areas to keep everyone safe . I was bummed that I wasn’t able to dive into the sprinkle pool but the slide was just as fun! Definitely worth it for at least one visit. I would go back to take my kids!

Visiting the Museum of Ice Cream has been a dream come true ! I traveled from Florida to NYC to visit and it was all worth it. This is definitely a very unique museum that gives you the history of ice cream along with interactive parts and pink filled aesthetics for your selfies and social content. The staff was helpful, full of energy, and playful! They give you samples of ice cream throughout the tour and allow you to take your time in each room. The most impressive installation to me was the Subway which was extremely thought out to match the features of the city. I gotta be honest I wasnt sure about this place at first but after our experience...I gotta say my lady and I had a great time. This Museum is huge and offers 10 floors of fun. Upon entry youll notice immediately that the place is overwelmingly PINK and youll be greeted by the greeter. You will also pass the small gift and Ice cream shop as you soak up the overwelmingly pink lobby. Coat checks are available and plenty of restrooms. Every floor and exibit in the place is organized and seems clean including restrooms. Staff here is extremely friendly and cheerful. Within the floors you will be given samples of different kinds of Ice Creams for your enjoyment. Dont expect info boards or signs giving you history on Ice Cream....this Museum is more like a big playground or a place where you can shoot photos, and its also family friendly. Admission is a bit pricey(beware of the hidden service fee) but you can purchase tickets online to avoid waiting there. For me this is a one time thing however I did have fun. Thank you and enjoy.

First id like to say the museum’s associates were cool and very polite! However this museum wasnt what i expected. Very rushed, its suppose to feel fun and informative but the way covid-19 put things in place, you cant even take time to take photos, or take leisure time. It felt like i was in a rushed workshop trying to figure out puzzles without really retaining info. We ended up going for a Valentine’s Day special, that offered a 2 - for - 1 discount pricing of 40$ for two guests. Given the price we paid, we were satisfied with the experience we received. The only downside was the crowd and locations throughout the exhibit that were extremely warm. This may have been due to the lighting and unavoidable, but it did detract from the experience at some points. We greatly enjoyed the samples of the ice cream we got. We wish that for the price we paid that there would have been more ice cream included. Given that we had a 2-for-1 pricing, we think it was acceptable. I don’t know if I would attend again at the full priced admission rate. It is a fun time, and it was enjoyable. I had fun, but I also think there could have been more done to truly immerse you.

I am very disappointed by how I was treated at this establishment. I came in with my daughter, 2 of her friends and a friend of mine. Initially we were excited to be at what seemed to be a lovely place. We got a speech about not taking off our masks which they put a cute little ice cream spin on it. Thats not where I had an issue. After the 3rd room, we were in the room by ourselves. So I decided to take my mask off for a second to take a selfie with my daughter. A worker came in and saw us. I apologized immediately and let him know that it wont happen again. He said nothing and left. As I proceeded to the next room a woman came up to me and said that she was calling security to escort ALL OF US out because I violated the policy. Now, even though I felt like kicking me out was a bit extreme especially since we were ALONE in the room, I could understand that I did not follow the rules. Even though I think a warning would have sufficed because again, no one else was in the room but my party, I get it. Wrong is wrong. My issue was the way the situation was handled. Why threaten to kick out my whole party? Why say shes calling security in front of a 2, 8 and 10 year old? She immediately came up to us and told me she was calling SECURITY. I had no words exchanged with her before this moment for her to feel like that would be necessary. Im not sure if she thought I would get rowdy because Im black or if this is company policy but I can assure you that it is insulting to jump to that level when there was no need for that. I asked her if my family could stay because they did nothing to which she agreed.Overall, I am well aware that ultimately I was wrong. But I do feel like being treated with a bit of dignity is not too much to ask for. Employees should not be jumping straight to calling security for a mask infraction especially around that persons CHILDREN, as it could potentially have traumatizing affects on both the person involved and the children.

I feel like the only positive reviews of this place come from people with small children and people who are here to take influencer photos. I will say that the employees here are great - super friendly, energetic, and helpful. The rest though...not so much. First, its tiny, and the lobby is cramped and chaotic. Just getting situated when you first arrive is a mess. They filter you into a line and while you wait its about 100 degrees, and I went in January. Then, youre in a second room where you wait, which is also 100 degrees. You get very little ice cream along the tour and if you want to take pictures in certain spaces, you wait in line. Even the photo areas were underwhelming. I could see how some spots would be fun for kids but its not super impressive.I went because a friend had tickets, but those tickets were grossly overpriced. Youre done with the whole thing probably in a half an hour (not including the wait time). Its also packed to the gills with tourists on the weekend. Would not recommend at all.

Not really sure who could say there weren’t enough samples of ice cream throughout the exhibit... I took tweens today and it was so much fun to watch them enjoy the exhibits. The people working there were super patient- especially given there were some unruly children and crowds of people trying to get the ‘perfect shot’ at all costs... that was probably the most annoying part of the whole day... people in stilettos with a full face of make up on, waiting to get in or on kid sized equipment to fill up their Instagram portfolios...What was cool about it though, was that there were a lot of rooms...even if some were useless... they were fun- and that’s what people were there for- fun...so to the people who were annoyed that it’s not a “real” museum... please do go to the Guggenheim... these exhibits are there for those with an easier sense of imagination who continue to remain a child at heart. I think it was worth $39 for the two hours we spent in there...remember...I was with children...they took full advantage of the interactions when they could.
