Saw King Kong. It was awesome Oprah was there. Theatre was beautiful. Winter Garden theatre. Go eat at Johns Pizza before the play. The giant gorilla was up to par with any NewYork show ever made. It was great.

Its a beautiful theater, well maintained. But anyone over 53 understand that your legs will hurt by the end, there is very, very little leg room. Even by NYC standards. But the staff is very nice and the history of it is impressive. The seats in the mezzanine are fairly steeply graded so youre pretty assured of a good view.

I saw King Kong in this theatre in the summer. It was amazing experience. I would like to see West side story after this whole situation ends. I hope they do fine and open soon. Dont forget to visit Broadway last minute centre after they open door.

West side story was amazing. I hope you do fine in this situation. It is going to be nice when you open door and we can enjoy the show.

Smallest seats in the theater district, I kid you not. And what is even more terrible is that they pass out a notice that you cant leave your seat during the entire 1 hour 45 minute performance (no intermission) and I couldnt even cross my legs! They told me if you do leave you might have to wait at least 10 or 15 minutes before being permitted back in to the show. A small cocktail is $17.00 and they do NOT use ice as it might disturb the actors. West Side Story was great but I would never return to this theater.

This was my first time in New York City so naturally I wanted to see a Broadway musical. This theatre was great! the staff worked very efficiently helping everyone get to there seats and even struck up a bit of a conversation.If youre wondering what show you should see I would absolutely recommend King Kong!!

Aladdin was the most breathtaking thing I have gotten to see on Broadway and look foward to seeing a new show when I return. Great food around the area to stop and eat before a show.

Absolutely loved the venue and King Kong was beyond any expectations I had...! What an stellar performance, visuals, musical, effects, story line acting, singing and dancing ! This is Tony worthy! Highly recommend it you will beyond thrilled & will want to come again and again.

Amazing performance...King Kong was everything I had hoped for in the perfect venue. Classic redone with a fun flare. Seating around theater makes for a great view wherever you sit. Sound and visuals were outstanding. If in market for a great musical you need to get yourself here.

Watched King Kong here. Although it was alright, seeing Hamilton was a totally different story and absolutely changed my experience on theatrical play. From the music, costumes, to the actors themselves were all done perfectly. Absolutely will watch again.

Whatever you do, you HAVE TO watch a Broadway or off Broadway show, it is just a must even THE most important part of visiting NYC. You can book your tickets online of from the same theater where the show is done. I lived magical moments watching The phantom of the opera. Note that you cannot take any photo during the performance, you have around 20 minutes break and you are not allowed to bring any food inside!

Came here to see Rocktopia. Good centrally located theater which has great seating. Seats are on smaller side and not very roomy, but that is mostly the case for most old theaters now days. Sat in mezzanine and had a great time. Also won tickets for King Kong 2nd row in Orchestra. Amazing view and excellent show. Love this theater.

Saw King Kong on Broadway! The seats were great had amazing views. The crew and the play were awesome my first Broadway show. Would definitely recommend to others. I want to see another one now

I was here last year to see the revival of Miss Saigon and now King Kong. The theater is beautiful. Large concession stands. Clean bathrooms. Acoustics are top notch. When I saw Miss Saigon with the famous helicopter scene, you felt the thrum and vibration of the propellers as if you were right under it as it flew over. With King Kong, every roar and every thump his paws reverberated making you think hes really there, alive.

We were treated well, had good lines of sight, sound was excellent, and had a great time at what we hope will be the home of the re-imagined West Side Story for years to come...

Went to see King Kong the Broadway play here. A wonderful play! The special effects where quite impressive! I never saw a play that actually simulated movement using background imaging. Kong was believable and well portrayed by 13 operators. The music and dance worked perfectly into the story. Well done, you will cry out for Kong!The theater was beautiful and a great view at various levels.

West Side Story (revival) 2020... Very good show, some elements were amazing. Audio was a problem, not well mixed, hard to hear some of the dialog and singing. Some of the cast presentation, attempting to meld contemporary social upheaval into this classic just didnt feel right. Either do it traditional, or swing completely the other way. Attempting to mix it up just didnt work. Also, having eliminated I feel pretty?, come on...???Despite all this, the cast, the choreography, the singing was very, very good! Enjoyed the show very much, you will too. It couldve been one of the BEST but again, the contemporary blend on reinventing the cast took a few notches off the measure.

Great show. King kong is amazing, just the noise it makes and then the facial expressions are just incredible! We were seated in the I row very close to the stage, and got the tickets at 95$ which seemed pretty cheap considering the broadway show.Overall I would recommen anyone to see it. Try to find cheap tickets if you have time

Came and realized that there is only King Kong in this theatre. It is my mistake to presume all Broadway shows are in Broadway theatre. The musical is nice but just felt weird to be able to see the men that were moving King Kong.

Incredible... Huge bucket list item, while in the city. These are great actors (Sean & Kristin) if you ever get the chance to go see them, GO, GO, GO. A night or day at the theatre in NYC is a chance of a lifetime. Dont miss your chance.

Seating 1761 patrons, on Broadway this is second only to the Gershwin in size. From the balcony, you might wonder if you are in the same building as the stage, the people look small and the designers all design for the orchestra section. If you are lucky, the show has a good sound designer and you can understand the words, but do not count on it. The seats are tight for those of us with long legs, try for an aisle or ask for special seating.

The King Kong Show was very well done and the special effects were spectacular! Really liked the Giant Puppet Kong️

If you think youve seen West Side Story before. think again! Orginal, fresh, relevant and tragic are the words I would use to describe this experience. Excellent use of video that compliments the excellent performance by each actor/actress!

I was mesmerized and fell in love with the King Kong character. The stage and the background was so lit. I would place this as my second best broadway show after lion king. I am actually a bit confused and fighting with myself if I should place it in number one, because deep down I love the modernization of the background In King Kong. No matter where you sit you would enjoy the show.

Saw King Kong here. It was an outstanding performance. The theater itself was very comfortable. However, my one criticism, is that the theater advertised the show as starting promptly at 3:00 with no late seating. Despite this warning, several groups of guests arrived well into the first number obstructing my familys view of the performance.

Westside Story was well done and definitely an experience. There are some unique artistic decisions regarding set, music, and character portrayal that I wasnt sure if I liked at first, but at the end of the show it came together, it was kind of a swirly puzzle until the end that came together and revealed the whole picture at the end. It was definitely interesting to watch and I found myself very engaged with the characters at the end. A super interesting spin on the original story.

King Kong play was amazing..Going back to see again...Production and Cast was amazing...The lead cast was brilliant and very talented...Made you feel like you were somewhere other than in New York...

Its always been my dream to go but even if I havent gone I know that it is amazing...

I loved King Kong. Very cleverly done, one of my favourite shows we saw on Broadway.Theatre was lovely, though be careful with drinks. 2 drinks cost us $25, which we wouldnt expect. This was our first Broadway show, so I think we didnt realise the price difference in beverages to londons West end!

Took the family to see West Side Story preview. Had great seats in Mezzanine row G. Great show. Clean theater. However they had a policy that once the show started and you left to go to the restroom you would not be allowed back in. Dont know how true that was. But I threatened all the kids they were not getting up Anyway LOL So go to the bathroom before the show starts and limit your fluid intake If I remember correctly the show was 1hr 45 min with no intermission.

Such a beautiful theater and have seen Les Misérables and King Kong. Exactly what a theater should be in terms of space and function. The chandelier is a gorgeous touch to the main hall.Happy watching and remember: Dont deny, satisfy!

Went to the city for a little getaway, have to say this was the highlight of my trip! Show was amazing! Theater was beautiful! Highly recommend!!

West Side Story was amazing. It is a much darker interpretation of the classic story but you are moved by the stunning dance performance and staging. As it is somewhat violent, I would not recommend going there with kids

I have seen King Kong and I liked it. Its true: songs dont shine but the special effects are incredible. The theatre is comfortable and accessible. $6 for a bottle of water, a little bit crazy.

I saw Miss Saigon here with my mom and brother. Nice play! But. Ouch!!! Those seats hurt. Sat in mezz, row k, seat 104. I’m 6’2” 195lbs and I was sweating for most of the play because my knees were pressed against the seat in front of me. My brother is a little taller, and had to sit in the aisle seat to even fit his legs in.

Beautiful theater, friendly employees but maybe to friendly. There was drunk customer taking pictures and was told not at least 6 to 7 times and then towards the ending of the show he started screaming. He should have been removed from the theater or had the cops escort him out. The seats are to small and no leg room but above all that I really enjoyed the show King Kong it was jaw dropping and hairs standing up on my back. Bravo to the whole production! ☆☆☆☆☆ Keith Taylor

Full of weed smells, but wonderful music

4 stars for the stage craft and production. Theater is small and dated. Expect lots of tourists who probably paid much less than you did. Good one-time experience but would go elsewhere next time.

The three stars probably is not warranted should have gave them more. This is one of the tightest Broadway theaters seat wise and Ive been to a lot of them. Otherwise everything was fine so just take that with a grain of salt and enjoy.

Awesome! Saw West Side Story. Been wanting to see this play on Broadway ever since I saw the movie. Loved it!

The play was awesome! Agreed!!The place though wasn’t quite anywhere near the standards. We were asked to sit on some chair that was wobbly and shaky. Air conditioner was not really happy with their maintenance, just like us!

An oldish building compared to the other theaters surrounding it. Went here to see Miss Saigon. The theater itself was small but has good acoustics.

Theatre was clean, staff very organized, location is ideal away from the mass tourist areas. Really enjoyed the show with great seats.

This review comes two years late but my family and I loved this theater. The facility is absolutely incredible. Not a bad seat in the house. The staff is very professional and some of the nicest people you could meet. I saw Miss Saigon twice at this theater and I can confidently tell you that is the best show Broadway will ever have.

This is a beautiful theater! It is the perfect home for a show like King Kong. We sat in the mezzanine, and traffic up and down the stairs got congested I several times, especially at the concession area. We just gave up and got a drink after the show. The music sounded great and our seats were very comfortable.

I saw King Kong on a class trip. It was funny and well-produced, contrary to some reviews I heard about it. My only complaint was how expensive the snackage was. $5 for a personal pack of Skittles? I guess thats New York for you. The theater itself was gorgeous and simply phenomenal.

My first time to NYC was last fall and the BEST part of my visit were the Broadway shows! Started my visit with Miss Saigon at the Beoadway Theater. The design of the venue was classic and well preserved. Thank you to the team for a great experience!

KING KONG WAS AMAZING!!! The show was like nothing I have ever seen before! If you can only see one show, this should be the show you choose. They even make the simple things elaborate where it is completely mesmerizing and you almost forget that it is just a show at times. You should definitely watch it if you have the opportunity!!!

Good experience here. Classic Broadway theater. Saw West Side Story. Easyventry, reasonable lines to bathrooms Sound and visuals were perfect. Did not have the best seats (upper level towards the back) and could still see the entire show. Seats were slightly small but not an issue.

Weekend trip with the wife to NY... caught a show here... it was pretty nice.. able to get fairly prices tickets with excellent seats . Like all theater seats...way too small for a regular size guy but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the show

Tight seating and uncomfortable. Seats need to be widened even if they loose a few seats. People rather be comfortable while watching a show then be uncomfortable seeing a mediocre show.

Hey, they have Matinee Tuesday all day here EVERY TUESDAY!!! My sister, niece and I enjoyed Bad Boys for life with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence!!! It was a fun movie. We had hot dogs, sodas and popcorn...If you become an AMC theater member you get certain PERKS! The price of a movie theater ticket is great compared to the other days! The bathroom was clean, the theater was clean and it was crowded...nice way to spend your TUESDAY! 84TH Street and Broadway!

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the musical Wicked at the Gershwin Theatre. Performance was outstanding, story is great and the theater is wonderful and comfortable (and I am big guy).

King kong was visually amazing! The things that they were able to being to life were incredible! The music in the show was lackluster. No because of the performers, they did a great job! There were two really good songs out the of the 2 hour musical. I would definitely see it again but dont expect to leave the show humming a familiar song. Also the theater itself was gorgeous!

Watching broadway was not in my plan! My friend and I did not want to spend too much money on it. We went to the ticket box to ask the price of cheapest ticket, and we got one per $67, which was affordable since the seat was very close to the stage. But we have to sit separately. The show was amazing!! My first broadway.️

Not everyone is thin as a rail.seats are narrow, my neighbor was overweight and leaned on me. Not his fault. Seats are sslim. Not everyone can stop from going to the bathroom (if you go to bathroom you will not be let back in) There is no Intermission) Otjerwise a pretty place and more comfy than Majestic.

We saw King Kong at this venue. The seats are comfortably padded, and plenty wide. Anyone at 62 or taller will find their knees touching the next row forward.The bathrooms have a lot of stalls.

Saw West Side Story! Completely different choreography, stunning production. A must see!

Even though, I knew how the story ends, I was soooo sad when he died.Amazing how the people maneuvered that GIANT King Kong Puppet. I would have loved to go on stage to be lifted up into his hands. Favorite part of the play was when Kong sniffed Ann. I was blown away at the sound effects!!!Will definitely be following, Christiani Pitts who portrayed the character Ann Darrows. She was Superb.
