You are here for the whiskey and live show, the food should be an afterthought. With that said, the food was indeed good. The whiskey, a large selection, the service, prompt. The atmosphere, perfect for dates. Make it an event, but don’t forget your wallet :).

The service was excellent, they were all very pleasant and attentive. The food I had was alright and the portion reasonable. I will definitely visit again whenever Im in New York. I love the Flatiron Room for jazz and great cocktails! A group of friends went and we were seated right next to the stage. I do wish we had. Seat further back to enjoy the full view and acoustic balance. We ordered burrata, cauliflower, duck confit, sea bass and a bevy of cocktails. It was delicious and our server was very attentive! The experience does come with a price tag, but is a must see/do at least once.

This place is absolutely amazing I highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner or a night out to grab drinks. Atmosphere is like a 1920s speakeasy and great music and very friendly staff. My wife and I had dinner here and we had the pleasure of having Pierre as our server he was great, very knowledgeable about everything this place has to offer. We went back a second time and requested to have Pierre because he was such an amazing server. We definitely will be coming back to this amazing restaurant next time we return to New York.

Great venue for live music. Lots of blues and jazz throughout the whole night. You should definitely take a look if you’re in the city and looking for high quality music! Make sure you reserve in advance - there’s a very limited amount of front row seating near the musician(s) for the night.

This place is amazing. Starting with the decor first, it feels like youre walking back in times. A true 1920s speakeasy with live music. Exactly what I was looking for with a dark, but cozy jazz bar. The music is good. You can talk away all you like. It is beneficial to make a reservation ahead of time BUT they do always have a little room for walkins at the bar and a standing bar. There is a 2 drink minimum but there bartenders are class and make proper drinks very well.

The Flatiron room is a wonderful spot for dinner, or a unique drink. The atmosphere is superb, the food is unique, but the drinks are where this spot shines. If you’re looking for a spot in NY that would satisfy any whisky aficionado, then this is a must visit space. Compliment the several page long whiskey menu, with great live music and you have found a space that is great for a date or a business dinner. Go here, you won’t be disappointed.

We had a fantastic dinner/evening. If your plan to go to the Flatiron make a reservation, we were lucky to get a table. The food is very good we had the turkey meatballs and Mac & cheese as starters. I was searching for an authentic, fiftes-style jazz bar in Manhattan - including little lampshades on the tables. And I found it in the Flatiron Room. There was an awesome live music performance and extremely skilled servers when it came to choosing the right whiskey. They even climb creaking wooden ladders up for you to the more rare whiskeys in the upper shelves or put your name on your very own bottle and store it for your next visits - if you can afford one.

Nice romantic ambiance, fantastic cocktail selection, and classic jazz on a nightly basis without cover. The menu features vegetarian and vegan choices, and various plates that we tried were well prepared. The main attraction is the variety of whiskey and bourbon. Notable: you may purchase an entire bottle which they will keep for you in a pretty display cage, to finish in as many return visits as you wish.

As I sit here with no water, an empty glass and dirty plates I’d say this very unique spot can only get 1 star because of the service. The cocktails are wonderful, the food is just okay and was delivered cold. The smoked oysters were great but the Mac n cheese was cold. They were out of liver toast but recommended the salmon toast which was SO fishy we didn’t eat it. Neither bartender asked us how the food was at any point, and as I mentioned they did not clear the plates. Bartenders talked amongst themselves and ignored guests the entire night so far and when we asked when the live music would start they said they didn’t know and didn’t bother to find out. The food runners were both sweet and conscientious, the decor was stunning, but I’d skip this bar altogether if it means sitting at the bar and dealing with this level of service. Worst I’ve seen in a long time honestly.

Warning! This place is an absolute Scam! They take Avantage of people who dont have the knowledge or understanding of whiskey. Which by the way i have a great understanding of whiskey! I ordered a Japanese whiskey tasting which was expensive but understandable giving Japanese whiskey is in high demand & in low in supply and the fact that i was not told ahead of time about certain Japanese whiskey that were on the whiskey menu that was not in stock & I was giving a much much lower quality & cheaper price bottle and the waiter never told me and pretended to serve me a higher quality bottle Service is disgusting they should at least lowered the price of the tasting to reflect what i was receiving. And just some fun facts i was supposed to receive a $100 bottle of Japanese whiskey and instead i got a Substitute bottle of $39.99. And for anyone wondering why i didnt mention anything to the waiter its because One i was in shock & Two we were on a really nice 1st double date and I didnt want to Potentially ruin dinner & date night and the service was rushed & unprofessional. By far the worst restaurant & bar lounge Ive experienced in the past 10 years! Im so disgusted

Great atmosphere. Great service from waitors. Entertainment was good too. We were on our particular night of attendance extremely let down by the quality of the food and the prices charged for such food. Desert and big plates tasted like microwaved meals thrown together in 1min flat as some kind of after thought but amazingly matched exactly what you ordered but just tasted so bad as if the chef was off work that day and the apprentice took over on day 1. The food was a big let down and if everything else wasnt ok the review would be 1 star for the food.

The period decor alone makes you feel like you have walked into someplace special. There was a melodic 3 piece jazz band playing when we arrived. It was still happy hour so we ordered some fruity cocktails we usually wouldnt order. They were pretty terrible. There were big ice chuncks in my drink, and the flavor profiles were just wrong. They did get bonus points for having bone marrow on the menu. It was fantastic! The greens and onion crunchies served with it complimented the rich marrow beautifully. We split the short rib entree; it was dry. We also got the app with tomatoes, fruit and cheese, I forget the name. It was good, plenty to share for more than 2. Then the waiter spilled food on my boyfriends suit coat... The manger rushed over, apologized profusely, comped our entire meal, and asked us to send the dry cleaning bill! I was impressed. We didnt send to cleaning bill, that was too much. However, it was a bummer because we were there to eat before going out to a show. Next time, coat check.

Let me start off by saying this place is great for drinks; I have been several times always a good drink. They make some good cocktails and have the largest selection of bourbons, scotchs and whiskeys I have seen. The food here was bland boring and just lacked salt. Swanky digs, seriously tasty food, priced right for a treat-yourself kinda day, or a fantatsic date nigt. Drinks were a pinch more than I thought, but I hear thats NYC in general. Not to mention the bartenders know their stuff. No sour mix in this joint. Whiskey sours with egg whites! Oh did I mention? Its a full blown whiskey bar too (plenty of other spirit options). 10/10. Whenever I have a visitor, I take them to this place because they have good selection of whiskeys, live music and awesome interior design. Today I had to just walk out because of how rude and disrespectful they were. When we first walked in, a host was very unfriendly and seemed annoyed. We were told to wait about 30min for the bar but after about 15min of waiting, she let a couple go in first who came after us. I went up to her and told her we came first and she completely ignored me. Other host also told her that we were before them but she just turned around and took them in. Not without saying a word, she was ignoring me like I was barking or something. I am seeing many complains below about how rude and unprofessional the hosts are but I dont understand why they are not doing anything about it. As much as I am sad to lose my favorite bar, I will remember this day for a while and I am not sure if I can go back.

We enjoyed a dip and duck confit. My friends liked thier chicken and duck entrees. I was the only one disappointed with the entree as it was far too spicy to pair with the wine and was not described as such. We also loved the chocolates for dessert. While I understand having a limited menu with the entertainment an addition or two would have been nice. The wine list is also good, could have some more moderate offers, and not much on the menu complimented with wine except the beef and duck. This truely is a whiskey lovers dream. What a variety!
