This is a great small club style venue which is perfect for watching live music. The stage and seating is downstairs, and is a dinner and show type deal typically. The sound is fabulous here! Its not too loud, and there is not really a bad seat in the house.I was lucky enough to see the legendary Les Paul here twice, in 2004 and 2009. They carry on the tradition by featuring first class guitar players an fabulous musicians. The food I must say was excellent!

Went there with my girl from over seas. The girls were very entertaining. Overall had fun. Food was pretty decent, had some egg over easy breakfast burger. For a straight dude not really knowing anything about drag it was pretty good. The Dominican one and the black one were my favorite. I forgot theyre stage names. It fills up a decent portion of a Sunday. Extra for alcohol and tip was added to bill automatically which is cool because who likes math? The only thing I wasnt a fan of is the blurry pics my girl got with one of the performers cause she was kind of rushing. Overall b+. Also they kinda dogged me and ignored me cause we were late. The city is confusing. Kind of annoying but the show was to make the girl happy and it did so mission accomplished. She said the queens were better than the ones in her country. Ill confirm eventually when I visit peru.

Event itself was amazing and I will admit it’s a lovely little venue. But I have literally never and I mean never had such an appalling experience when it came to a simple overcharge on my card. Don’t bother trying to call them. Won’t happen. Maybe an email to say? Doesn’t work. As for the way the Facebook page acts it’s both shocking and laughable. 55 dollars down and I get offered t shirts. That most likely cost very very little. The other offer was 2 tickets to a show which I admit is admirable and were I still there I would have taken them up on the offer. All I want is to get my money back and remember the fact that the actual evening was amazing. The waitress that served us was awesome despite the fact the venue was packed we didn’t have to wait long for anything. It’s a shame I can’t attach images to this review because it’s some good reading.

We had a reservation. We’re notified to arrive earlier the show was moved to 7:30pm from 8pm. We get there to a long line of people who all got same email and we then wait in 27degree weather with no communication at all for 35 minutes and are let in 10 at a time - show started at 8:15! No apologies. No reason. No discount on our tickets or meal/drinks. Service was terrible and drinks watered down and poorly made. Food was fine. Band great. Singers with the exception of two female singer were like karaoke and not in key or even good performers. Would highly recommend not going as it’s also a fire hazard. One entrance and exit on a small narrow staircase and the kitchen is in the basement too. One grease fire away from a disaster!

Music sounded good but I could barely see anything, I was seated in the back corner facing the wall. I arrived 45min early and still had a bad seat. I turned my chair around and with 4 people seated in front of me and a huge 2ft by 2ft column I could only really see the bass player and drummer at times. I was there to see John Mayall which he was hidden for about 90% of the show because the column. There’s a mandatory $15 minimum fee that you have to spend on food or beverages, that’s about 2 beers at $8 a piece, also they automatically put a 20% tip on your bill regardless of group size. Which is what I normally tip at but it makes it seem sleazy to automatically put it in the bill. Now the chairs, what moron built these chairs? And what moron working there or owners bought theses chairs? Sounds like a odd thing to bring up but I have to. The vertical supports for the backrest are on the inside of the chairs? They should be on the outside or under the backrest, imagine two pool cues between your back and a chairs backrest. After awhile it became very pain full, I was there for about 3hrs and it was ridiculous. I’m submitting two photos one of the view I had and one of the chairs. 8/10/2019It’s been 2 weeks and the pictures still have not loaded 8/31/2019It’s been almost 3mos. And after multiple submissions the photos are still not available? 11/8/2019Nearly 6mos and 4 photo submissions later and still no photos? What a bunch of children afraid of honest feedback! 2/3/2020!

The ambience is great for music lovers. This late legendary Les Paul used to play here weekly. The sound system is not overly loud, even when the performers are playing high energy fusion music. The seating are close to the stage. This is a small club but not crammed. Guitarists would appreciate the many guitars of famous players adorning the walls. Lastly, the food is tasty, though on the expensive side. I would recommend to arrive early and order ones food before the performance start. So that you may better enjoy the food before the show starts. Also to be respectful to the musicians. Theyre not playing background dinner music but a presentation.

Would you like great, live music, and delicious food in an intimate, trendy venue right in the center of New York’s Times Square? Then look no further than this well known Jazz Club, The Iridium. The caliber of entertainment is nothing short of the level of any well known recording artist...Paul Gilbert rocked the house down. Dinner/drinks and a show with tables very close to the stage is a great way to spend an evening. But bring ear plugs if you have a hard time with loud music!

The music is great but the management of the place is terrible. The hosts are rude. The show I was going to was sold out, and I had to wait 10 minutes after it started to see if there are available seats. After 10 minutes I got inside. Nevertheless I had to pay the full price, although I missed part of the show. There were quite a few seats available, so I was wondering why the wait. Yet there were people coming in, even after half an hour into the show. Makes no sense.Look at some other live-music places to see how organized and efficient they are. Learn something.

Lets me start by saying this review has nothing to do with the performance. We went to see Peter Cincottis Valentines Day show and he was spectacular! Five stars all the way!The one star rating is for the food. We had preferred seating and arrived at the venue 50 minutes prior to the show. It took 20 minutes for a server to come and take our order and then another 30 minutes for the food (only a burger and fries) to come out. By the time it did arrive, they had dimmed the lights for the show. The fries were okay, nothing to rave about, but the burger, ugh, this is where it all went wrong...I ordered it to be cooked medium and in the dim light I couldnt tell how it was cooked but it tasted off. I only tried eating half and then had them wrap the other half to take home. I wish they wouldve let me wrap it up myself. They put everything on the plate (including the ketchup cup with no lid) into the to go box and paper bag.I got home and took it out and the ketchup had spilled everywhere and THE BURGER WAS RAW! It was only brown on the outside. And not raw as in it could pass for rare, but RAW raw.Go for the music and a couple of drinks. Dont get the food. Especially the Les Paul burger. If you must try it because of the name, please order it extra well done. Then it might come out medium.

Enjoyed a phenomenal performance and healthy food options at the Iridium last week. I was honestly blown away by the talent (Paul Gilbert) and forgot how fun it is to watch live music in such an intimate venue. I had been to the Iridium several times years ago for jazz and Les Paul, and was thrilled to find the sound is still exceptional. Having food and beverages available during a show, especially healthy options. was a bonus. Come for the music. It will not disappoint. Im looking forward to returning soon.

First time. Cool looking basement club. Lots of history. We came to see Ally Venable Band an up and coming blues power trio in the vein of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Fancier food than typical music venues. Had braised short ribs on mashed potatoes and tried the veggie empanadas. Both excellently made and tasty. The odd rule they had was that couples couldnt sit next to each other. Had to sit across the table. Hostess seats everyone. Will go back. Parking was literally across the street so easy to drive if one wants.

Great place to see a band, once you get in. My complaint is it is a restaurant style line to get in. If there are 20 people ahead of you, you are not getting in for awhile. Also they (understandably) try to fit as many customers in as possible. So seating is tight. There are some tables on a ramp, so one side is a few inches higher than the other. Its funny to see but Im glad I wasnt sitting there. The GOOD: there doesnt seem like there would be a bad seat. Its small enough that everyone can see the performance. The sound system was really clear. The sound guy seemed to be dialing the reverb/echo on the vocals at times. It also was not to loud. I brought ear plugs but did not need then at all. The subtle lighting of the back wall and the stage lighting were simple but effective. They have a lot of Gibson Les Paul guitars from past performers on the walls, which was cool. I didnt eat, but the food smelled good and seemed reasonably priced for NYC.Bottom line, I am impatient, so waiting 45+ minutes to get seated in a place that holds 180 irritated me, but the rest of the experience was great.

I visited NYC and decided to go here, they seemed to have good reviews. The worst service that Ive seen in a while. This review in no way is towards the workers amazing singing and performance. They are all very much talented and would have enjoyed the show more if the service wasnt so unbearable. I came in with a large group. They already had Pepsi set out and upon tasting it, was watered down and non-carbonated due to it being set out for so long. This was fine at first. It took a lot just to tail down a worker and after stating that the Pepsi tasted weird and asked for another one. Was told that nothing was wrong with it and that it should be fine. It wasnt. No one at the table found it drinkable. I dont see what the problem is to just bring out more Pepsi upon request, especially when we didnt specifically order it in the first place. Annoyed, I just asked for water for the whole table. We asked if they could take away the Pepsi because the table were small and we felt as if we had no space. We were told that someone else would come by and pick it up for us -- no one ever did. We ended up gathering all the drinks at the end of the table. I was one of the last people in the group to get my food after 45-50 minutes. The food came out in intervals and you had to flag down a worker just to get food that was coming out. Someone at my table had asked for napkins three separate time from three separate workers and never received them. The food was mediocre at best. I would not go to this place again, the price just to get in -- the price overall was not worth the experience. This place made me realize how spoiled I am to southern hospitality. Those workers can sing but cant wait for anything.
