I think it’s difficult to understand it’s price system but I figured it out. $20/ticket and $30/cover charge Including tips - although you only get water - so get as much as $25 worth of food or drink.Staff are very nice and friendly.During 2 hours, you will hear several good comedians and ok comedians make you laugh.Food were surprisingly ok. Not great but not bad. It’s comedy club. What do you expect?? Good comedy, right?

Fun comedy club. Some famous people have been there. I would check it out at least so you know whats its like to be in such a setting. I am curious so I need to know. Enjoy and have laughs! And dont expect that the comedians will be nice to you since they are there to be unique and sometimes its a bit offensive but her, its a comedy, not Human Resources Department :-)

The experience at Dangerfields was okay. The service wasnt extremely attentive for requiring your standard 2 drink minimum. Our table probably would have ordered more had the service been a little more regular. The comedy show we saw here was a little long although the comics were all very funny. The design of the club itself probably has the same decoration and furniture since it opened which makes for a unique experience as such a long-standing comedy club in the city. They do comedy and not many frills outside of that, but thats what youre here for so enjoy the show!

Great atmosphere love the whole vibe of yesteryear the mandatory 2 drinks are about 16$ each , but theyre good and its a nice feel to the whole place. Bathrooms are clean and you can find parking after7 in the area if you look I did.

Place is alright. $20 cover charge for a 2 hours show, not bad - however the comics are 50/50 on being funny. The good are great, the bad... well, they are very bad. Forcing a 2 drink minimum at $13 dollars a beer is a little shady, considering the menu doesnt have prices. This is NYC, I understand things must be expense - but I would expect quality (my mixed drink was atrocious). Id say skip this place and go to the cellar, but thats just me.

Got tickets for the comedy night here. The comedy night itself was pretty funny. However, when it came to pay for my drink I was disappointed to see that there were minimums you can spend at this establishment. I bought 1 drink and then was forced to buy another to make the minimum cover of $25 even after indicating that I was going to use my debit card and not credit card as per sign. I wont return honestly. Not worth it.

Judging by the reviews Mr DANGERFIELD still doesnt get no respect.This place is historic and if you took the time to know the history you would surely learn to appreciate it. You think a place like this can survive without charging what it does in Manhattan? Common sense people.Most of the comedians we have today were originally hosted here at Dangerfields. You just got to learn to appreciate those who have paved the way.People are so quick to drop a one star rating today its absurd. This is why smart people and those whom are compassionate pay no mind to small minded commentary.Most of the hateful reviews are not quite relevant to the review system at all.A 1 star should justify extremely bad experience and on more than one occasion not just one visit.

Wow! This place is terrible! I bought tickets online then the old door guy pretended like he didnt know what I was talking about. He proceeded to force us to buy 2 drinks each. There were 4 of us and our bill was 145 for 8 drinks! 2 of which were bottled water. So $15 each for tickets ($75 after taxes and fees) then $145 for drinks equals $220 for a night at the comedy club! What a rip! NEVER AGAIN

This place is historic. It was the first comedy club I ever visited. The comedians are amazing, you’ll always have some great laughs.In recent years, prices have gone up, table minimums and crowds have declined. It’s very sad. Look past this and an empty room and you’ll still have a good time.

Good club, good talent. Club decor was aged. Location convenient to trains. Had a very good time. Drinks were strong, but I think the well vodka was low quality.

Honestly, Im very disappointed about this experience. the place looked so enchanting and old school, it really seemed like the real deal.the comics were pretty okay considering the underwhelming and frankly kind of weird audience.but here is where it really got me. the mandatory 2 drinks minimum after youve already paid cover was one thing, but then you get the drink menu and theres no prices on it. so youre just expected to order with no idea what youre spending. then they bring you the bill and its outrageously overpriced even for New York ($13 for a bottle of Stella) and youre just supposed to pay it and act like you enjoyed your time there while the next group starts to file in.I dont like to write negative reviews, but this place really felt like a scam.

Got tickets from Best Comedy Tickets and Dangerfields was a great choice. Hands down. I have been twice, and both times, I couldnt stop laughing. They do a great job with the lineup as well. The first comedian does a great job, but then the next comedian comes on and makes you laugh harder. No topics are off limits. Its a reasonably priced event, both for the ticket and any drinks or munchies you may want. I recommend this as a top spot to check out in New York if youve never been! And go again if you have!

Not bad at all. There are some a bit offensive jokes there but hey, you are in a comedy club so not for sensitive folks...I think its a great way to experience NYC on top of your other things to do there.

Overpriced bottled water and coffee. Pushy waiter. Very dated place. Unfortunately, I cannot be refunded for the time that I wasted there. Can safely say I will never return there again.

Go here for various comics! Sit at a table and let the waiter serve you drinks , food is available , sit back and relax! Classic place!

The food was not great. Ordered a veggie burger and the fries came out very hard. The waiter overcharged us for an extra drink and when we told him about the extra charge he crossed it off but still ran our card at the higher/incorrect price. The 15% gratuity was also more than 15%. Youre required to pay to get in and then pay for two items minimum. The prices were also very high.

I remember, a while ago, I came here by myself with 9 ladies interning from Germany and were actually the only group there along with my brother that was running late...i loved the jokes they were a bit surprised at the talent of the comedians and grateful for their profane laced hospitable welcoming, I wish I remembered the comedians of that night because they were all awesome.

Comics are good. Place is in need of a decor update. Drinks could be stronger. Could be a little cheaper so they could fill the house more.

Ive been going here for years. Its my favorite comedy club. Good laughs and a good time. Down side is you usually have to pay an entrance fee and on top of that they will require you to buy two drinks. Not necessarily bad but be expected to spend at least 60$ on top of the entrance fee.

Yeah not sure about this place. Drinks are over priced and the selection is weak. Comedy is really hit or miss. They put on a long show in the evening we saw about 7 comedians. Only 3 where great. Would in go back?.....maybe.

This place is not worthy of visiting. We had one good comic the night we were there.Moreover it was 20 per person and 20 / drink with a 2 drink minimum.Everyone was fighting about their checks.just dont do it!!

First time here the comedians were great. However the service here was horrible. The waiters never acknowledge my friend and I so no drinks or food. The show started at 1030pm and was not approached until 10 minutes before the show was over, which was at 1150pm. Was told the kitchen was closed. Said the male server will anything be on the house he stated will see what can do and never returned. Smh. Gave three stars for the comics who saved them. Also place needs renovation.

I loved being there. The air is charged with electric sex and happiness. Its kinda dark but the stage makes it come alive and the comedians chosen to host kick off a show like superstar headliners. Like eating a great Steak Dinner Starting with Dessert. I got a ticket to return. I cant wait. Looking for forward to it.

OMG there was 6 of us in our group. We had the best time. The comics were so interactive with our group. Mind you we went on a Monday night so the place was pretty empty but I think we stayed and went back and forth with all the comics a lot longer than the show was supposed to be on for. Great bunch of people. There is a two drink minimum and not gonna lie they are pricey drinks. Keep an eye your your check... Sometimes tip is included and you dont realize it.

Not sure what happened to this place! Stay away the place hast been updated in over 15 years. Went there on Wednesday night they took our money , no one else was there show was to start at 8:00 no show , no refund. Gave us rain check vouchers( worthless!) I wouldnt go back if they had a free show. Its too bad this was always on our list to go anytime we come NYC well never go back, we have seen many a great comdiens there and had a good time, but never again ! If I could give it no stars I would.

Great comedy place. I came here with my boyfriend on valentines day and it was awesome , they had a great performance and it was during the week. They drinks are a little too much for the place .

Great venue. Went to see my friend Daniel Ares perform on a Saturday afternoon ( He was hysterically great) with a group of friends and we were all pleasently suprised by each of the comics, especially as this was an afternoon and not a night time show.The host, Sal, was so incredibly funny and very charming, the staff were friendly and while expensive ($15 each) the drinks were pretty strong.We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back for more belly laughs.

5 stars for the club and 0 for comedian Bill Burr. Went to Dangerfields Comedy Club in NYC last week. We love doing this and see comedians as often as possible. There were several really good comedians that night. However, Bill Burr was terrible. Yes. The guy who is supposedly an actor and has had cable comedy specials. I never heard of him before that day. Never watched his stuff. Dont care. I can laugh at almost anything and dont get offended easily, but he was awful. He tried to make people laugh about abortions and women who have been assaulted. Truly disgusting stuff. Nobody laughed. Everything he said was beyond offensive. He went on and on and nobody even smiled. Instead everyone stared at him in disbelief. This was at least 5 minutes nonstop and no reaction from anybody in the entire club. He sounded like hed recently been dumped or had been rejected a lot because he made women out to be the enemy. It was so bad you could hear crickets chirping. My daughter suggested a new topic and he went off on her with such rage, she left to go meet with friends. He then proceeded to insult anyone who commented on his behavior. His face was red and he was furious. Totally out of control. We felt bad for all of the comedians that followed him because it was so tense. They essentially apologized to the crowd for his bad behavior. He should stick to acting because when he acts, someone else tells him what to say. And he should stay away from improv because he sucks at it.

Great comedy club. We went there me, my wife and a friend of ours. It was weird in the beginning because we been only few people (its was on Tuesday night). Its was funny, the food is great and the drinks is the of the night.

Love coming here. Full room or not the comedians show up! Staff is friendly and drinks are stiff. Usually 2 drink minimum but thats no problem as youre usually there a few hrs. The offer non alcoholic beverages too so dont worry if you dont drink.

The drinks are very expensive... for 4 drinks it was $73 because they include the tip and tax. Before finishing our first drink our server was harassing us to say there was a 2 drink minimum which was obnoxious for him to do because we knew the rule. Some comedians were good others were not funny. One comedian made a joke about gay men having intercourse and mentioned feces with blood. That wasn’t funny at all it was disturbing. I will not ever go back to this establishment and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay far away from Dangerfield’s it is a waste of time and money.

Decent stand up club. But come here for the history of the place, as there are better alternatives in NYC for stand-up clubs in general. Cheap entry, but even with a two drink minimum with expensive prices of drinks, it is still a relative cheap night for NYC.

Attended gig on 20th June 2019 and found the worst comedy venue i have ever attended... 9 comics each described as headliners and laughed at three.There were 4 comics advertised and only one turned up... when I raised this with staff, was told SO?... APPALLING ATTITUDE TO PAYING PUBLIC!!!!Then we had to pay for OVERPRICED drinks, 76 dollars for 2 small beers and 2 Pina Coladas and had audacity to add 15% gratuity.Absolute RIP OFF!BE WARNED THERE IS A MINIMUM OF 50 DOLLARS. YOU HAVE TO PAY THIS EVEN IF YOU DONT BUY A DRINK!!!Had to give it one star else could not post review....not even worth one star.One of the comics slated the venue!Seriously... give this place a miss!!!

Great comedy, great selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. Good food to munch on while watching local and renown comedians. Saw some great acts and saw one of the least funny people ever. He was still enjoyable due to the fact there was a heckler.

With my brother and husband and some of Our close friends We were at Dangerfields Comedy Club. The comedians left and amazing impression on me!!! Me and my husband Richard had a wonderful time and compared to comedy club shows I have already seen so far in London and Miami this was the BEST!! The Best!!!We kept laughing during the entire show and were served by a professional and very-very polite young man. Next time if We are in New York on vacation We will definitely come back because We had an outstanding experience!!!! We Loved it!!!!!!

Good comedy, lost of history (longest running comedy club in the world), however extremely overpriced drinks. Comics and staff are nice and friendly, but the place needs a facelift.

The wait staff are rude and the food/drinks are way over priced. For the price you pay for admission and drinks Id recommend going to the West Village and seeing a show at the Comedy Cellar

Only reason I gave this place two stars is because the comics were good. JP Justice is hilarious for real. However, when we got the bill it was $90.00 for two people I was stunned (they gave us free cover which is $20.00 per person in addition to a two drink minimum). Who the f$&* charges $12.50 for a domestic beer and $13.00 a teeny glass for subpar typical comedy club wine. I really hope this place actually pays their comics if not, steer clear. So overpriced.

Went to Dangefields on a Wednesday night. Saw 5 comedians. Only 1 was up to New York standards. Drinks were super expensive like $15 each. Only go here if you have free or very cheap tickets. The chicken wings were good.

Dangerfields is a classic for comedy, a little run down and the drinks are low on alcohol, I ordered a long island ice tee and it was weak. All 4 comedians were really funny and one of them was drop dead funny. After the show they gave me a coupon for two so you dont have to pay the cover next time. So I would diffently go again. All in all I give Rodney a two thumbs up only because the comedians are worth the show.

Legendary place for good stand-up comedy! Be sure to pre-purchase the ticket on the website to safe money, but be also prepared to face expensive prices for drinks (at least 2 per person + gratuity). -1 star for that and the grumpy waiter.Nevertheless, it was a funny 3h-show with a lot of good jokes and comics! I think you wont find a cheaper show for less than 30$.

Went on a Sunday night. 1 of 5 comics was worth being there for. Poor crowd control as a single guy talked through most acts and wasnt kicked out or even fully addressed by the comics. It was also insufferably hot and humid in the room and not because of the crowd, there were 15 of us. Would visit again because good comics would have made the whole thing tolerable, but the talent wasnt there the night I was. Classic comic club thing of 2 item minimum and $14 beers, but thats to be expected.

The food and drinks were extremely subpar (think frozen foods you might stock in your freezer and overly sweet cocktail mixer) but we did get a few laughs and I enjoyed the show overall. I would go more often if the food were either improved significantly or at least made less expensive.

I had a great time here, sure its not the newest club but the history of the place is worth the price of a ticket, look online for tickets they are always deeply discounted as opposed to buying them there, the staff was very pleasant and funny, they even offered to charge my phone for me. If you are visiting New York and want to see a comedy show I would recommend it. the two drink minimum is the reason this place gets four stars, I understand that this is how they make their money but the price is a bit much. Overall I had a great time.

The doorman was a stereotypical slouch. If I could only get back the hour that I wasted at this place I would write a much longer review detailing the almost unimaginably numerous shortcomings of this so-called comedy club.

He guys, I have been to this comedy club a few times, really great show with good performers, however.And this is where u need to understand.The place is outdated esthetically, every time my friends and I came to the show, it felt like it was 1972...Its beautiful! In 1972...Not now, its a place of business that has been catering to the public for some years now, its time to update, upgrade & get a major make over. .. its not a museum where one would like to have it be original.Otherwise, its a good show!

A plate of five chicken tenders cost $30!!!! my suggestion... drink and eat before or after going to this or just go somewhere else. 2 drinks minimum required and ridiculous prices. 20% tips are mandatory and are automatically billed. Rude staff and water down drinks. This place was my only regret when visiting New York.

I know the cheap ticket/expensive drink ploy is one used my many comedy clubs, so that was no surprise. For a group date, it was a fun place.For the easily offended, comedy in general is not for you. There will be racial, sexual, and religious jokes.Dangerfields seemed nothing extraordinary to me. They boast an accomplished wall of alums, pricey drinks, and carpeted walls that made me feel both itchy and nervous...I would go back again. Maybe if Id had more booze, better service, or liked the comics better Id have had a better time.
