The clubs is so iconic for fans of stand-up. There’s a standard you get here, it’s pros at work, stand-up comedians perform with that famous red-brick-backed stage. Everything is safely distanced so that takes the edge of the evening laughs! Love this place!

Great show last night! Original comedy from unknown(to me) comics that was extremely relatable. Small venue was quaint & cozy, it made it feel more personal. Low price, great for an affordable evening out. *Tip--leave a little extra time to find parking if you are driving in. It can be tricky with alot going on in the neighborhood.

This place was a true gem of a place to find! If in N.Y. for a holiday or just an evening GO HERE!!! Truly I cannot remember the last time I laughed so hard at the great comedians that graced the stage in this tiny comedy paradise with a HUGE atmosphere! And no comedian was on stage too long for me to get bored of one style of comedy! Originally there to see Aaron Berg who brought the house down, (as did the other comedians) if i get the chance to go back i will regardless of him performing on the night i attend! Staff were amazing too and I truly didnt want to leave!!!

Decided to stop in last night after dinner for the 11:30 show, was greeted at the door and checked in, they started seating at 11:15. There is a 2 drink minimum or $17 dollar charge. Our server was great I ordered beer while the other attendee in my group order a Long Island Iced Tea. Let me tell you it was literally the worst long island iced tea ever!!!! Even the serve noticed it wasn’t being drank and offered something else. The show in it self was good, there were a few acts most of them funny some just ok. Would have given this place another star if they knew how to pour proper drinks especially at the price they charge, 2 beers 2 mixed drinks $47

We wanted to see some NYC authentic comedy. The New York Comedy Club did not disappoint and was a fantastic night of drinks and laughs. We saw 7 different Comedians and all were funny and different. It was a lot better than your typically one big comedian and was more versatileI highly recommend this venue. We bought tickets using a site called Best Comedy Tickets and had a promo code for 25% off with our hotel. NYP25 was the code. Enjoy the show.

It was fun. The people working there are very nice. The comedians were mostly funny as could be. Each of the 6 had their own styles and timing, of course, most land hilariously, a couple didnt. But their segments are pretty short so it passes quickly and then your on to the next with new anticipation. The place is NY so theres a 2 drink minimum. Drinks are 12$. Theres a 17$ minimum charge per person even if theyre just drinking water so be aware. Theres a service charge on the bill that I dont understand yet and didnt expect so I have to go research that but it was unexpected. Its about a two hour show 5 or 6 good comedians and we all felt it was worth the effort and money to go there. We were really lucky and found a curb parking spot directly in front of the club. Score! Well be going back.

Overall, I liked this Comedy Club. I’ve been to a few others in NYC. It wasn’t as big as Comedy Cellar but we saw some great comedians. The host was good too! We got to see Joe List and some other funny comedians in a close up setting so it was great. They typically post the comedian lineup online and each person does around 10 minutes. It’s a 2 drink minimum but you can always get a water as your second drink if you’re trying not to spend as much.Unfortunately, they don’t have a lot of food - just popcorn and Pringle’s.As they are giving out the checks, they allow amateur comedians to try out jokes which was when we knew it was time to go because they weren’t really funny.I would definitely come back here.**I would highly recommend buying your tickets on Groupon as you can save a lot of money. Just make sure to read the fine print because they aren’t good for every night - I think Friday and Saturday nights you can’t use a Groupon but double check.

We have gone to several comedy clubs and this was by far the worst experience. For starters, we purchased the unlimited non-alcoholic drinks + one package of snacks for $17.00. It took us 45 minutes to get our first drink and then another 30 minutes to get our second drink, which was only mineral water. What a waste of money! We finally gave up ordering as we were just too frustrated. Second of all, we sat under an air conditioner that dripped water on us the entire night. Third of all, the comedy was horrible! I understand that everyone has their taste but we have seen a lot of comedy and we are very flexible. Three of the comics were dreadful. Two of them we could barely hear as they did not hold the mic properly. The room was quiet and most people looked embarrassed for the comics. There was little laughter and people started to drift to checking their cell phones. With that said, the headliner was great (who was from London) and the MC was excellent. We were visiting New York and have seen comedy in small towns previously. I would have expected a much better experience in New York City. I would never go back!

I love comedy shows and go often. This was by far the worst show I’ve been to. It took 35 minutes just to get snacks or drink out. I had to keep reordering my drink because the waitress kept missing me. Also the only snack they had was popcorn and were out of everything else. Also this has got to be the worst stand up comedy I have ever seen. Only one guy in the entire line up was decently funny. Most of the comedians tanked and 4 or 5 of them walked off the stage alluding that crowd needs to lighten up. The truth is that they were not funny. Very few people in the crowd were laughing. I don’t see myself coming back here. Just an overall bad experience. :(

The comics were hit and miss, but that is always the risk with a comedy show. The show was really long with lots of comics on back to back so the chances are at least one of the comics will hit the mark for you. The $18 minimum spend per person felt a bit out of order. This compounded as everything is priced so that you JUST miss out by buying one item and therefore have to buy two - spending way more than $18 dollars each. But as I understand it, this is pretty common in NY comedy clubs. If you are at a loose end, you might want to give it a go, but honestly I had more fun at the bar round the corner which was having a pub quiz.

We got tickets for cheap ($10 a piece) at Times Square after playing hardball with the sales guy. He was a super friendly guy and was really honest about the mandatory minimal spending and what to expect about the club. In the evening when we arrived we were welcomed very friendly and after waiting for about 20 minutes we were directed to the back where the stage was.The acts themselves were not crazy great, but acceptable. There were a bunch of comedians, like 6 or 8 or so who took turns playing their acts. Only two of them had their own style and were original and genuinely funny, and the rest was having their typical men vs women and black people vs white people bits, which got really old and really predictable really fast! We did not want to listen to these chewed out bits any longer and left earlier before the show ended. The bar and drinks service was alright, nothing special. You needed to order a minimal amount (forgot how much exactly, but around $14-$20 per person I think)I can recommend if you are easily entertained by cheap humor and people who are laughing their lungs out non-stop about every fart and every pun.If you like humor and jokes with more depth and intelligence, this is not the place to go, nor is any other comedy club in New York.

First things first - required to buy two drinks minimum per person and serving $13 cocktail in a plastic cup?... it actually says on a menu - $17 min per person, food doesn’t count. And then I understood why. It’s simple - when you drink all the jokes seems funnier. Honestly. Some comedians are great. Like two max for a night. But the rest?... you judge it. And house cant keep rowdy crowd with drunk sorority girls and frat guys under control, a handful of them were just heckling half the time. Ive seen a lot of live standup and this was by far the most cringe show Ive been to.Owner replied: So sorry about that, lineups are subject to change. Particularly with big names who may have travel or filming commitments that change unexpectedly. We hope youll use your free VIP pass to attend one of our upcoming shows tonight or this week - Ari is confirmed for multiple shows coming up!My reply: Dont charge BIG NAME prices if youre going to call up a bunch of warm up acts in a row last minute. At the very least get rid of the two drink minimum for a midnight show, when people are already rowdy and drunk, as a show of good faith to customers that want to enjoy a show. There was a point where one of the female acts was basically just arguing and instigating random hecklers in the crowd. These are the acts you invite on stage? Also the professional thing to do would be to let people know the act that people paid to see is not coming at the BEGINNING of the show, instead of before the last act over two hours in. Im sure others have had great experiences at your venue, and I acknowledge your reply in such a quick fashion, but I will not be returning to your venue. Businesses should not only be judged based on when things are running smoothly, but how they respond when there is an issue with their service. And youve proven yourself to be the American Airlines of comedy in New York City.

We enjoyed it. We went on Sunday night but there was a surprisingly long roster of comics on stage. For $25 admission and mandatory two drinks (minimum $17), I think the cost is not bad for live comedy in New York City. All of the comics were enjoyable. Theres a range from hilarious to peculiar to lukewarm, depending on the listener, of course, but each one is fairly short, so its never too bad.The room is small so everyone is close to the stage. Anyone could become part of the act.Just remember you are not paying to see Chris Rock, its people trying to make it, and adjust your expectations. Two odd aspects:1. You must show up at least 30 minutes before your show, but theres not much space to wait.2. The drinks. Drinks at the bar before the show *dont count* towards the two-drink minimum! And check your bill carefully because tip may be included, even though there is a blank line for Tip.

Place is a joke and completely ruined my birthday night. Asked to leave without a refund! I came here for my birthday and the couple in front of us were already upset with the girl in the front as she gave them an attitude for wearing Santa ears. Said she will have to ask her manager to check them out as they may have been participating in the Santa Con. The couple felt she was handling the situation poorly as they were not in any way intoxicated nor participating in Santa Con . After we got our tickets were asked to wait on the side. When it got very packed , my boyfriend and I thought we should move up. I began to walk up and she stopped us and said if you are you waiting to get seated then we will have to wait behind other people waiting on the line first. Considering how jam packed it was, almost impossible to identify any clear line at all. We arrived at 11 as we were instructed to, and somehow other people were being sat before us. Long story short , I told the front desk she didn’t have to speak to everyone with an attitude. She obviously took offense and kept asking me to check in. She purposely held us back to ruin our night as we had already checked in. Somehow we were asked to leave after being sat as they felt I handled the situation poorly. Unreal. I will never again go to this joke of an establishment. I was asked to leave as though I threatened someone or caused chaos. Poor customer service , poor management and nasty attitudes!

Came here during a quick visit to NYC and booked the tix on the night. Great iconic venue and of course we had heaps of laughs. Got a little table seat and I think there is a 2 drink minimum per ticket.
