Huge Comedy and Improve fan and WOW this talented group delivered! Very easy to book tickets and find venue! Easy Uber ride from any hotel in the City. From the doorman to the bartender my experience was over matched by the most equipped and friendly staff! Plus Fair priced tickets, drinks and overall clean venue! Must recommend and will definitely return. Thanks to have found this New York Gem!

One of the great comedy clubs in New York. Great venue, friendly staff, good prices. The check-in process is a bit of a mess with people registering their ticket and then everyone having to line up in the entrance before the show starts. Its a really small space so things get a bit hectic. Other than that its clean, they have great comedians and once youre in you can just chill and enjoy the show.

The MC and Five comedians are surprisingly hilarious. The theater is intimate and cozy.Highly recommend for anyone who is into comedy. $20 dollars ticket. No pressure to get alcohol.

I have been here only once with a group of friends, the place is huge and seats are comfortable. The food was good and the crowd were not noisy or overwhelming. Suddenly, Jerry Seinfeld walked in and gave a set, we were so happy and amazed. The other comics were great as well. The only thing worth mentioning is that the service is not as good as other places, it was slow, staff were not as friendly as you would expect as in other comedy clubs. Having said that, I would visit again but wouldn’t expect too much out of the staff.

The food was awesome. Went to see Joey Coco Diaz.. had an awesome time the wait staff was excellent. The food was very good. All and all a really good time..

So glad we visited here! We got to see Jim!! He was totally unexpected! There is a 2 drink minimum to be entertained and admission was only $15. We definitely had a much needed laugh here! Knew this was #1 on my list for first visit to the big city!!

DO NOT BOTHER BUYING TICKETS ONLINE UNLESS YOURE SURE THE SHOW WILL BE SOLD OUT. OTHERWISE YOURE JUST SUBJECTING YOURSELF TO UNNECESSARY SERVICE FEES. I went on a Friday at 7pm to see Deon Cole and it wasnt too packed which was nice but early shows are usually like that. The ticket was $35 which is more expensive than normal but thats because they had a big headliner. Tickets normally start at $12 but it wont be a known comedian. For $15 the comedian is a little more known but its all really subjective. Now for a headlining comedian the prices actually start at $26 but the bigger the name the bigger the bucks. ALSO THERE IS ALWAYS A 2 ITEM MINIMUM. Anyway, I had a really great time and the waitresses and other staff were friendly and helpful. I only had a root beer which was $6 and it was gross lol. Not their fault. So I decided my second item would be a mug which was also $6 so I didnt waste money. Deon was HILARIOUS I highly recommend you go see him if you get a chance. The place is bigger and a lot more comfortable compared to the comedy cellar but I love them both.

Comedians were fantastic and super entertaining. Drinks were delicious but food was overpriced. The guacamole was not good as the portion is small and the chips are soft. Buffalo chicken was good and flavorful but sauce was not a good consistency. Expect to pay $36 on top of the ticket price for entry if buying food and drinks.

In general the price per person is $26 which isnt bad for 1.5 hours of laughing. Theres also a 2 drink minimum which will forever annoy me since I nor my husband drink alcohol. Otherwise, its a pretty good value for 1.5 hours of entertainment. Definitely get your tickets in advance and experience this New York staple.

The comics were funny and there was a good selection of drinks to order. Theres also a nice seating area downstairs to hang out if you arrive early for a show. Both the seating area and actual theater were tightly packed with small tables and lots of chairs, but there was still enough room to be comfortable and see the stage clearly.

Super fun! Loved it. Piece of advise: if you are planning on going to a comedy show where the comedians make fun of people and cultures, and that offends you, please, just dont go. This is for open-minded people.I could see many peoples faces showing how uncomfortable they were with some depictions, that is really annoying. They portrayed me as Hispanic, and it was really fun, so, again, if you are sensible , please, dont go.

All I can say is if you have any sense of humor you should make a point of going to a show here. Good service and comedy was really solid. The headliner had us laughing and wanting more!

Excellent night, with some great line ups. The sound in the venue is great, along with a good selection of drinks. Although its a bit confusing to get seated....walk down one line to get your table number, then back out to join the queue to go in.

I went to this place spontaneously, after visiting with my friend in New York. We went in and was placed on a standby list, got lucky and got seats for the 9pm show. The line up was great loved all of the comedians only one put of the four main acts was luke-warm. It was a great time, definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back when Im in my favourite city.

Very nice venues, great comedians. Table service can be improved - our server brought 2 different types of red wine, none of them being the one I had actually ordered. Would order beer next time.

Fun experience on our last night in NYC. The venue had ample seating and our server was really sweet.Before the show started, I was telling my friend how much I like Amy Schumer... Well, 45 minutes into the show, she dropped by unexpectedly. Hilarious, as always...and the other comedians were great, too!

Visited from Sydney, Australia - we made a last minute decision to visit Gotham Comedy Club, hoping there would be tickets available at the door (the venue wasn’t packed so we needn’t have worried). Tickets were reasonably priced at only $15, drinks were pricey but we didn’t mind when the entry was so cheap. Imagine our surprise and delight when Jerry Seinfeld made a surprise appearance, giving a half hour performance a metre away from me! We couldn’t believe our luck!! All the other comedians we saw were funny too. A really memorable night and one of the highlights of our trip.

We had a really fun time and were pleasantly surprised by some of the comics that we were not familiar with. The crowd was fun and the staff was very welcoming. Expect to get picked on by the comedians and just roll with it. Definitely has a New York comedy vibe, if that;s whats you are looking for.

Street parking, easy to find paring as the meters stop charging right before the shows start.Nice and large place, lots of tables.Table service is real slow. Ppl who came alone had to share tables... yet there were EMPTY tables around. I thought that was not a great way to have customers come back that is for sure. The 2 dudes that were sharing the table looked pretty uncomfortable with the situation.CHOCOLATE MUD CAKE- looked like a cheesecake and came with whipped cream. It was pretty food, but very sweet sp try to share it cause I could not finish it on my own.They have burgers and other finger food.overall the only reason I am giving a low score is that to me the service really needs to improved. the wait staff did not do a good job, they were not a team at all.

They have a pretty big main room.I went solo and actually that ended up being a good thing because the hostess gave me an awesome seat in the center close to the front. This is one of the best most famous comedy clubs in this part of the world. From Gotham comedy live TV to the best standup in the business. An amazing venue thats awesome for private functions.

Epic, Amazing, hilarious, LOVED watching Ian bagg just skewer the offended millenials in the crowd who seem to have totally forgotten that they actually paid money to hear jokes. Imagine that.

Perfect standup venue. Saw Craig Robinson and actually got called up on stage and became part of the show. It was surreal. Random appearance by Jerry Seinfeld! One of the best nights of my life.

Visited the weekend before Christmas, was very crowded. Comedians were overall funny, drinks are priced reasonably. My one complaint is that if you go with only one person, theres a good chance youll need to share a table with strangers.

Went to see the Wali Collins Comedy Cup. Amazing show. Very intimate space. Its as if everyone is a part of the show. Great comedians! Food is good as well.

My first time at a comedy club was at Gotham. It had a very good atmosphere and the artists were awesome. The only thing I did not like was the several times they asked if I wanted more drinks.

Nice venue, great drinks. i love offensive comedy and when comedians took shots and our group and others, it was hilarious! however, one of our comedians did nothing but complain about how boring and awful our crowd was (some people werent showing much energy) and was overall super depressing and boring.

I had an awesome night here! Great atmosphere, food was decent, service was slow but friendly (I feel they should’ve had more waitresses), comics were all pretty funny and then Jerry Seinfeld showed up. Amazing! Overall a great place to spend an evening. If I find myself in NYC again, I will definitely be back!

Greatest night ever! We had two surprise comedian guests, Jim Gaffigan and Jerry Seinfeld. Being surprised by two of the best comedians ever is worthy of 5+ stars alone. Great staff, service and atmosphere! Even though I realize its not going to be common to get those types of guests regularly I still will return with the hopes of catching great surprise guests. Thank you for an unforgettable night!

Great place, good drink selection, service was on point. Great MC and comics, Sarah Silverman was good and her follow up acts were even better. Easy to get in, was very clean and everything is affordable there. Awesome experience!

This club is unreal! Not only do they bring incredible acts and charge you no money for it, they have partnerships with legendary talent and allow them to crash sets. I just saw John Mulaney for $15!

Awesome show last night. The drink menu was a bit pricey but thats expected in the city. We had a surprise appearance of Jerry Seinfeld and George Wallace. Both great sets, George was hilarious. Will definitely come back for another show in the near future

Nicest comedy club I have attended. Luxurious tables and seating (for a comedy club) and very attentive staff. We purchased a VIP package to see Orny Adams and it was more than worth it. Since drinks are at New York City prices, the price of the VIP package was not out of line (note that there is a two drink minimum). Size of the club is just right - big enough for a good crowd but still intimate, as comedy should be. Very different from a Las Vegas showroom. Highly recommended.

Was running late by a few minutes but got there just in time to see the headliner take the stage. Staff and host were great and accommodating, $25 with a 2 drink minimum for a great seat in the house. Great environment, cozy, so comedian can engage and interact with the audience.

Really enjoyed the Mixtape comedy show with Royale Watkins..the chicken strips were huge and not tasty. Space is a little tight but the show compensated. Overall fun

Really nice club. Service was friendly, comedians were good, including some surprise (more famous) guest comedians. The only downside was the food - fries were soggy and cold, for example.

Saw Josh Wolf here and he was amazing! Also saw the diversity show which was half amazing half ok but still memorable. Will deff return!

Gotham Brings the Best Comedians, We went to see Roy Jr. He was funny, and kept engaging. MC was also super nice. I recommend going early to get better seats. But its realitivy less busy.

Lovely venue for comedy, and the comics were actually funny. The drinks and food were better than average for this venue. A great middle of the week thing to do.

I was disappointed I had to share my very small table with another couple. There was no space for the food that was orded. The opening comedian was funnier than the main attraction. It was my birthday and I was expecting a lot better.

The host was hilarious! He needs a full show, I’d pay for it. In addition, Orny Adam killed it! I had high expectations for him but he told us to lower them, and man, did that improve things for me. After lowering my standards, he exceeded my expectations.If you see his show, you’ll understand the joke above.

From the moment we arrived we were well looked after and given great seats(we were early)The performers were diverse and natural and we laughed out loud for the whole 90mins. Well worth it. Reasonable bar prices and fabulous service.

I cannot tell you how much we loved the Bring Her Mama comedy show at the Gotham Comedy Club. And I have to tell you, for starters, that we were not expecting much -- my wife and my two kids (8 and 12, grls). We got there early, ordered some drinks and guac--fare was just fine. The host comes ripping onto the stage (such as it was) and launched a show that was absolutely amazing...from his opening where he somehow engaged and interacted with kids in the audience to the final performer/comic, the show was a blast! Diverse, contemporary, and--best of all--of freakin able to be kid-appropriate and parent-friendly all all at the same time!!! WOW!

A must go to if you live NYC comedy. As a performer, its a great venue. I love it.

I particularly enjoy this club because you can go before the doors open and get your spot reserved, as opposed to waiting in line outside. The layout is great and I dont think theres a bad seat in the house. One of my favorite venues in the city.

Had an amazing time! The comedians were good some of them not to my liking, but they were entertaining everyone. Would definitely recommend this for anyone who enjoys comedy.

This was a great night out. If you have a chance to see Vicki Barbolak (former AGT star) in person, do it. She is hilarious and also really nice. She even recorded a video saying hello to my kids, who loved her on AGT. I wish I remember the name of the host too because he was also really funny.

This place and Comedy Cellar are my two favorite spots in NYC to go watch comedy -- theyre two distinctly different vibes. I come to Gotham Comedy Club when theres a specific comic Id like to see - its spacious, the food is pretty good, and you typically get an hour-long performance (versus ~15-minute spots from 6-7 different comics at Comedy Cellar).

Wow, what a great night. Went to see Carlos Mencia. Seats were great (a little hard) but no bad seats in the house. Drink options and apps/desserts were yummy and the staff really helped make it an enjoyable evening. Ill definitely be back for another hilarious show!!!

Its a great venue. Not a bad seat in the house unless you arrive late. The food is good. I had their burger and fries. The food is way better than Carolines!! The staff and servers are friendly, accommodating, and give excellent service. The drinks were okay. I think they use well liquor. I didnt feel it and got a headache (usually well liquor gives me headaches). Im definitely going back.w Tone Bell and Monroe Martin

Big venue. Easy accessible to get into and to seat. Slow on getting us drinks. Mix tape comedy show was ok. Not too impressed with the comics. Nice that they offer food even though it is pricy.

I love this place but it drastically oversells when good names come in and the room gets real uncomfortable really quick. By that I mean, they really push it when it comes to stuffing, and I do mean stuffing the room with people. Staff is always on point, always nice, which is a huge plus and an unbelievable accomplishment considering the fact that working in a place where they can barely get around must be insanely maddening. But they do it! And I love and admire them for it. (The staff, not the organizers)

Cool show with great comedians. Lasted longer than expected! Will come back!;)
