Cool hotel on St. Charles. All the amenities were closed because of Covid. The staff was helpful & friendly. There is a brothers corner store close by that sells everything. I highly recommend the fried chicken from there. Also the hotel has a nice rooftop area.

Great location. Employees very pleasant and helpful. Room was nice, you can tell it is an older building but up to date with amenities in the room. We had a suite, which included the separate bedroom, fold out couch and a full kitchen.

One of the valets was very good but the others especially the big guy were unfriendly and unhelpful and seemed to wish they were anywhere except there. The bathroom in the suite was tiny and very uncomfortable. The door and the metal toilet paper holder are literally against your leg while sitting and poking you in the side of the leg and hip while the sink is against your other side. There is no counter space. Of the three light bulbs in the bathroom, only one worked. I mentioned it to the lady behind the counter downstairs but it never got fixed. The valet are there and will guide you to the parking garage but will not get in the vehicle due to covid. No one will take the time to explain anything to you or help you figure things out, they just direct you to the concierge and of course all they want is to upsell you on stuff you dont want or need. This trip was our first as members of Wyndham and a perfect opportunity for Wyndham to impress us and show us that we did not make the biggest mistake of our lives signing up with them, but they fell short. We were not impressed with our stay here. We hope that our stay in San Antonio on Spring break will be much better.

Very nice hotel just out of downtown. The trolly runs right by the front door and is convenient plus it runs all night. Dont have to worry about parking and traffic downtown. $3.00 for an all day pass. The staff at the hotel is outstanding and friendly. Due to Covid parking is a bit of an issue getting in and out but if you take the trolly, you dont have to worry about it. In 4 days we took the car once to explore. Great stay! We recommend the Wyndham.

I was visitor from Virginia and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here!! I was happy that they were willing to upgrade my room with the king size bed as this was more spacious for my niece and I. I appreciated that! The valet men were always courteous and the front desk attendants were always professional and quick on their feet! I would definitely stay again!!

Very friendly staff. Lovely resort, however, you can not use the pool, hot tub, or exercise room. The cable did not work in my room and the maintenance man would have had to pull up the carpet to replace it, so, they changed my room in the middle of the night.

One front desk clerk have terrible customer service I checked out 2 days early Kiera it was the 2nd person that customer service was good it messed up my evening trip so I left the next morning. 2 bad apples make me rate them .5 not even a one.

The rooms are modern with just another southern swag. The staff and Customer Service was Awesome!!

Cozy, clean and comfortable. Small rooms, mini kitchens. Washer/dryer down the hall. No balconies, but beautiful outside sitting areas on first floor, pool, and roof. The staff was exceptional!Daily valet parking fee.

This resort is conveniently located on the green street car line in the Garden District of New Orleans. It is within easy walking distance of many places to eat in all price ranges. Dont miss Commanders Palace. We were able to access the French Quarter, the WWII Museum, the Audubon Zoo and Aquarium with ease. A Fresh Market is close by if you plan a long-stay.8

This is a friends timeshare that were using. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The room is very nice, roomy and clean. The pool is the perfect temp and so is the jacuzzi.

Nice and clean but due to covid we didnt get a chance to checkout the pool or the gym.

Fabulous place to stay while in NO. Friendly helpful staff, nice pool/hot tub outside court area. Laundry facilities clean. Doormen nice and helpful. Just good service and good folks at this location! Worth the money! Close to trolley and trolley cafe, lots of other restaurants and shops within walking distance.

The hotel was ok. Wyndham vacation club staff spoiled the experience for me. Valet staff was great

Really friendly staff, clean, safe. Only issues are parking, no vending machines, laundry room is locked and no breakfast. I know with Covid these services are unavailable but at least have vending machines and laundry.

I will be visiting this property in the next two weeks. I received a phone call immediately after I booked to tell me about Covid precautions and Im a bit bummed that NONE of the amenities are open. I can understand the spa, but not the pool? Even lower tier properties have their pools open.

The area was beautiful and we enjoyed the food. We just enjoyed seeing the city and was located centrally to visit Garden District and French Quarter.

Rooms are modern, Staff is helpful, and its super close to the trolley. Parking is complicated and the TV remotes are trash!

Location location location!! Hop right on the street car right in front of avenue plaza resort and go to French quarter or go the opposite direction and go to commanders palace, Camilla grill, past the beautiful homes, Loyola and Tulane... just a great location...

Very good and affordable hotel. This place is near to French Quarter. You can use railcar for transportation. No breakfast in this hotel.

The workers here were very knowledgeable, pleasant and friendly. We had a very pleasurable stay there. Perfect location for Mardi Gras if you are with family and like that more relaxed feel. All the Parades pass within feet in front of the Plaza. Its in what they call the Garden District.

Clean, large suites, great staff and great location.

Rooms were clean. Staff was pleasant to work with. But, and as a staff person said, people dont come to New Orleans to be on the room. That being said. For a resort and the price it costs. The lack of a real kitchen and comfortable seating really pulls the rating down for our family. Also The noisy hallways echoed all night long. The biggest killer is the price you have to pay to park on top of all other fees. Not that this the hotels fault but did not care for New Orleans. The hotel also needs to run off the panhandling in front of the hotel.

Hotel staff was great. The rooms were comfortable with update furnishing. Rooftop provided a good view of the city. Restaurant inside resort Mr. Johns Steakhouse. The food and service was outstanding. Its a bit pricey but well worth it.

This hotel was right outside of St Charles street. We choose this hotel cause we hope to use the streetcar to move around. However the street car at this area was under upgrading. They use shuttle bus to service this area though.Check in was very smooth, Isaac helped us to get the room before the official check in time which was a big help He was on duty for the the morning shift through out our stay Room was very big, we had one bedroom Suite, with kitchen, free self service laundry.The shower was walk in shower, I find the space a bit small.AC seemed quite old as every time when it ran, it made big noise.There are a lot of loot outlet near by. From fancy dining ( seafood , steak ) to small diners. Some of them 24 hours all within walking distance.Walgreens just 2 blocks away and convenience stores near by.Overall I had a pleasant stay here. For those who wish to stay away from the busy area like French quarter ,this is highly recommended.

Very nice hotel. Nice rooftop patio, balcony overlooking St. Charles, nice pool and garden room. My only complaint is they had no coffee packs the second morning! They had coffee in the garden room. A small complaint but scary - must have coffee at all times (mornings)! Would definitely stay again

On street car line bordering Garden District. Easy access to downtown/French Quarter in one direction and Tulane Univ./Loyola Univ. in the other. Go to Houstons for dinner. .9 miles to the WWII Museum walking or on street car.

The Avenue Plaza Resort is in a perfect spot for enjoying different areas of New Orleans conveniently, while enjoying a quiet neighborhood for sleep. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The price is reasonable. The room was nicely appointed, comfortable, and had a very useful kitchenette. Great for families with food allergies.

The stayed at the hotel was great. Clean with features like pool and hot tub. The valet parking guys were helpful, but the front desk staff welcome was unnoticed being a Wyndham member for more 10 years. I have stayed at Hawaii, Vegas, Florida, San Antonio and I can fell the indifference here. No welcome packets, no advice about where abouts/ places, restaurants, transportation and hotel activities. I did checked in at 4:00 PM with no more guest doing check in, so it wasnt busy at the time. The front desk offered me the welcome packet at 8:00 PM when Uber was picking me up for dinner. Then the last day I have thru the door a $NOLA BUCKS$ flyer that said: Come see your guest guide in the lobby before theyre gone. Are you serious Wyndham after staying for 3 days already, not need it now on my last day.packets

This was fantastic for sleeping but in the area there are nothing for eating but fast food.

The beds are so comfortable! The location is perfect, just out of the tourist area but close enough to it. The staff are a wealth of knowledge, especially Cat. Her many recommendations have all been a hit! Highly recommend this resort.

Excellent accommodations that are both comfortable and welcoming. $10 Lyft ride to anywhere within the French quarter and steps to the trolley.

Desk staff was friendly & healthful.Great effort to force me into sales pitchmeeting to become “timeshare” participant,which might have ignored State ConsumerLaw. Would have been illegal in my homestate. Disappointed; easy solutions such aspastries & fruit at coffee stand.

The people here go above what your expecting and then go even further than that. the streetcars were down and we were told the best ways to get around. Walking distance to do many great restaurants and Jack Rose as well as grocery stores for layer night snacks

We had a very spacious studio wth a super comfortable king bed. The shower was great. All staff members were polite and efficient. Wed be happy to return.

On St. Charles in the Lower Garden District. Quieter and way more laid-back than Bourbon Street but still a few 24hr bars within 5 minute walk. Perfect mix of partying and relaxing.

Location is great however the staff that helped me with my check in she didnt make any effort to tell us about the breakfast and the welcome package as Wyndham owner very disappointed.We pay for parking and she was done in seconds. She didnt know the restaurant hours locate it inside the hotel. The next day one of the front desk employees tried to ask us if we got the welcome package that we never got because untrained staff waited last minute when we were about to get an uber to go dinner. Unfriendly staff.

Was a very nice hotel by Wyndham staff was friendly polite didnt have any issues. Learned there that the tours are so much cheaper thru them than getting it your self . So dont book that tour till your at you Wyndham destination.

Booked this through a third party site. Their main initiative is to get you to attend a timeshare presentation. We would have attended but they said some of our information was incorrect and we were disqualified. The discounts offered as an apology were not good. We got a great deal for a swamp tour through groupon. Avoid following up on the welcome package. The hotel is fine.

We stayed here for a family wedding and a short visit in New Orleans. The room was great with a big comfy bed, rain shower, breakfast table, Andy great views of the surrounding Garden District. The girl is right in the trolley line making it easy to get all over the city on a budget. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel itself was fine, location was great and I would give it a better review if it were not for the skillful way in which we were entrapped by the time share team. My fault for not catching other reviews that talked about it and my fault for not realizing immediately what was going on but I did not appreciate having to defend myself from signing up for something I wasn’t the least bit interested In.

Nice Wyndham Resorts in New Orleans in the outskirts of the city. The new orleans Madigrass float went right in front of this resort.

I spent my birthday weekend here and I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The suite was beautiful. I cant wait to visit again!

Perfect spot close to quarter with less noise. Trolley right at corner. Staff friendly, rooms great for occasional meal, but we ate out mostly.

The staff was amazing, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. They booked numerous tours on our behalf, and even booked for us to have a free Cajun Swamp tour. You can also have a great view from your room, or from the sun deck on the roof!

Lovely place. We had a one bedroom and found everything acceptable. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about where to go and how to get there. The only thing we didnt like was the bathroom in our room was quite small. Not a whole lot of counter space to do my makeup and hair. Otherwise overall great place to stay.

It is a nice hotel, great views from the roof, but the high pressure sales people were a real PITA. They claim to have a haunted building but wont let anyone in there.

Beautiful room and fine views, staff is friendly and supportive catch the Saint Charles trolley car 30 yards from the front door. And the bell desk will hold bags if you arrive early.

From the minute we drove up to the entrance until the minute we checked out, we were treated with kindness. This place is very nice and wonderful location. Trolley right outside the front door and restaurants all around. Rooms are very nice and laundry facilities available. Also has a nice outdoor pool, hot tub and seating area with a fire pit. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice people to feel comfortable and line up places to go for food, music, and fun. On the St. Charles Trolly line so easy to get to the French Quarter. Lots of good places to eat in the neighborhood. We parked the car using valet and never drove again until we left. Uber a short ride away from French Quarter ($10) if you want to use it. Well go back!

I like this place. Have stayed here 3 times. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Pool area is very nice. What I love the most is the location. Far from the hustle and noise of the french quarter, but the trolly literally stops out front and will have you to bourbon in 15 minutes. There are plenty of great local eateries here and a couple blocks away on magazine street.

Rooms are small but cozy, nice and friendly staff and street car and hop on hop off stops are really close. I would definitely come back again.

The staff is very friendly. Rooms are spacious and equipped with mini kitchens including dishes. Limited maid service, no restaurant.

We stayed at this resort as a timeshare points trade with Wyndham and we would not recommend it to anyone. As we didnt run into any immediate problems - it was not a clean, friendly, or exciting stay. The resort is obviously dated, you can tell they slapped new paint and linens in each room and called it a resort. The front desk staff is so unprofessional and rude - they are immature at check-in and basically yell hello at all hours you go through the entrance. No maid service the entire week stay we were there and had to go down to the front desk to get our own set of towels and carry them back upstairs. There is no lobby, spa, or complementary breakfast but they call it a resort? They will take a deposit from you as well and then it wont be returned to your card for weeks. This is not upscale and will not meet your standards, if you have any.

Favourite place to stay in NOLA- trolley car stop out front- no vehicle needed. Nice rooms- undergoing a remodel now I believe. Avoid the room visit or timeshare meeting- liars and timeshare hucksters will waste your vacation time and run your credit report to sell you on a worthless credit card.

Room was good. We were even going to attend the timeshare presentation. However they waisted our morning and would not honor what they offered.

This is located in the Garden district, which used to be the wealthy part of town. Just walk out the front door away from the French Quarter (right) and youll see lots of cool old mansions.

Guest were very nice. Co workers need help. The security is a joke and disrespectful and just there for a check or a date. Uh huh.

Nice accommodations! Great front desk personnel including the valet service. Rooms are well maintained as are the grounds with easy access to the St Charles Street Car. You can get by without a car unless you plan to explore beyond New Orleans. This was our second trip and we have not used the car in five days. Arghh! However we have walked to great restaurant s or hopped on the “Hop on Hop off” bus to see everything we wanted to see and do.The car rental was well used the first trip.
