This park has alot of activities to offer. Children plays are, skate park, walking paths around the pond and the surrounding forest. Our family has been going here for years and we love it

This is a really nice park. You can walk around the whole pond. It is delightfully scenic.In the summer time, they have had paddle boats that you can use on the pond.There are ball fields, basketball courts, and a skate park here.The playground has been updated/upgraded and look great.I do miss the old slide that was here, it was really big.The city of New Britain launches fire works here on he 4th of July during a big festival (celebrating the countrys independence) called The Great American Boom.This park is across from/next to the campus of Central Connecticut State University.There is also a large wooded area in the back. Part of this area, north of the back parking lot leads to an area known as the Ski Slope that kids can go sledding down in the winter. I dont remember a time where it was a running ski slope, nor do I know if it ever truly was a ski slope...

Love this park. You can exercise very safe during the day cameras everywhere people stay to themselves. Dont feed the animals you will be fined. There are workout stations all throughout the park.

As a small city New Britain does an excellent job of creating open space for their residents and even the outside visiting for a day of business..... sorry Bpt...New Britain is the Park City of CT.... FYI I grew up in the Park City and if the Park city was under the guidance similar to the City of New Britain they could return to respectability

Nice park newly renovated basketball courts, new playground for the kids, my 5 yo nephew had a blast.

Its a nice park, but it would be nicer if they didnt fine you for feeding the birds.

This is just for the skate park. It is an incredible place to go in Connecticut. It is my favorite skatepark in Connecticut.

Some equipment needs to be restored, but overall great place to walk around and work out.

The park looks a lot nicer now with the new benches , playground and paved walkways make it easy for bicycles and skates, it will be nice if they do something about the algae.

I grew up there. First kiss and Doobie. Ice hockey in the winter, baseball in the spring. Floating toy boats with Mom watching in 1970. Of course it was a different world

Great park for walks, featuring woodland trails and a nice path around a lovely geese populated pond. Along the path are various fitness machines. You can find tennis and basketball courts, a skate rink, soccer field... This park has it all.

Its a beautiful area...lots of things the kids can do nice place to throw a party or just hang around...i recommend visiting this park

Beautiful park! Great place to take a relaxing walk around the pond, while enjoying the swimming geese. There is a nice playground for the kids, as well as soccer and tennis fields and plenty of free parking. Good spot to relax the mind and to decompress!

Beautiful park right in New Britain with a well maintained walking trail, courts/fields for sports, and a scenic lake that can provide a little fishing fun. Im a student at CCSU and I love to step away from campus for some peace of mind every now and then, great place to do it.

A very relaxing park, came for the July 4th event and it was the complete opposite, but in a good way! Lots of fun and great views. Lake could use some cleaning but its a great park! (Phone service also isnt great but that probably isnt the parks fault)

Such a nice little clean park with lots of ducks, exercising equipment, and nice walk around the lake, a playground section for kids, and the icecream truck starts rolling around when the kids get out of school. Also dog friendly and has bags for you to cleanup

Beautiful park but the water has a beach smell which made me realize how nasty the beach is to share that smell. Cuz this water is filthy. Clean park but during my walk on certain parts the smell from the water is over powering

The park is clean also you can play any sport there that you want ...They have a skate park as well ... The basketball court is all redone over and the kids playground is brand new ........ Great place to have fun or just relax. I just prey that everyone does what they need to do to keep the park clean

Love this park. As of april 12, 2020, the kids play area has been demolished. They are under construction currently and no word of when it will be open again. However, the park still has trails, fields to play baseball, a little pond, swings, and other things to explore

Very nice place to enjoy the calm beauty of nature.I like to walk the path around the pond on a nice sunny day.

Good for a walk, jog, chill-out and even a play with the kids and/ or dog. Lots of construction and upkeep going on and it shows. At the right time of day you will have lots of space to yourself too. Careful with geese though, you can easily find yourself the subject of many beady eyed fowl.

Small but beautiful little park. Track around the pond, causal fishing, beautiful wildlife, and nice place for photos.

One of my favorite places to go and relax and hang out. Always people walking around and enjoying nature, which is refreshing to see in a city setting. Really nice to see people of all ages enjoying this park and skate park.

Its an ok part that needs the renovation be its getting badly. It does have a pond to walk around, also wooded trails next to the skate park. The basketball courts I believe are getting redone currently 3/6/20 and they have baseball and soccer fields. The 4th of July fireworks are amazing here

It can be a very beautiful park. The town tries to keep it up, but it does have geese. Its a great place to walk or play tennis. Lots of families visit. They have a skate park. It is a peaceful place.

We went for the Fireworks and the place is huge so we had a great view of the Fireworks

Looks awesone beautifull

With some renovation at the park, the kids area and basketball court is inaccessible. However the walking trail is still useable. Minus the geese dropping the size of dog poop on the path, you could invent a few dance moves to hop around the mess. Or just treat it as a obstacle course and move on. Its beautiful out here and fall colours all around is so therapeutic for the soul and body. Dont need to drive too far for the fall colours!!!

The park is great but some of the people that come to the park are just animals. Leaving trash, garbage, tires, shoes etc all over the park. No respect for the town, park or nature. The water is disgusting and smells awful. Not to mention the giant algae blooms which somehow havent killed all the life in the pond. Definitely needs a facelift/clean up along with more mindful citizens and visitors. Really a shame. Way to go New Britain

Lovely quite scenery for a run jog or stroll anytime of the day. Kids love the wildlife and games played throughout the fields. Wish they turned the water already to clear up the algae.

The walk around the lake was smooth

It was my first time at the New Britain fireworks as we just moved to the area. We had a great time. There could have been more ride options so the lines weren’t soo long for the kids otherwise everything was great. We had a great spot to view the fireworks and the display was great. Started right on time (that’s one of my biggest pet peeves) and For the price it was a fantastic family friendly night. Going to fireworks is one of my favorite things to do with my kids and will go to any town i feel is the best option. Normally we go to derby to see shelton as well, but so glad we went to New Britain this yr as the show was way better. Will definitely be back again next year.

I love this park, its small but its really calming to walk in with the ducks next to you swimming in the pond and the breeze hitting your skin. Its nice, also the sunset there is beautiful. Sometimes the tennis courts dont have nets idk why but its rare I think, most times the nets are put in.

This park could use some TLC. I grew up going to this park and have fond memories of yesteryear. I went the other day with a friend and couldnt believe how the water in the duck pond looked so murky and nasty. The rest of the park was clean but that pond looked unfit for the ducks to be in.

One of the best public fireworks experiences in Central Connecticut, the Big Boom is a half hour show after a full day of celebration. Some come to the park, while neighborhoods in the viewing area fill with friends and family.All those cars represent a real challenge when everyone wants to leave at the same time. The New Britain Police get it better each and every year - just observe the barriers and police instructions and you will be out of the area within the hour, or less. Dont be particular where you are going until you are clear of the police directed area and in normal traffic.

Great place for kids. Really worth your money.I really enjoyed with my family.

Baseball games are very relaxing and the walk is always needed. This park even has a gym outside for pullups/situps/incline benches and more. Great community park

Love the pond for fishing with my son and the skate park is great also big open fields for baseball or football we do the walking path also and sometimes the playground

One lap around the park was is great draining all the water out the pawns is making it very hard for the ducks or geese are any birds trying to survive
