The museum was very clean and had some cool things to see. My partner and I are very health-conscious with the pandemic and missed out on quite a few of the exhibits. For instance, theres an exhibit that shows you the difference in Johnnys voice over each decade. Each stop was a different set of headphones. We just didnt feel comfortable using them.

A Beautiful, Although Small Sample, Collection Of The Man In Black. What The Museum Lacks In The True Personal Story Of Mr. Cash And His Life, It Completely Makes Up For In The Sheer Sense Of The Vast Scope Of Mr. Cashs Body Of Incredible Work. His Amazing Influence On Various Artists Spanning Multiple Musical Genres Can Still Be Heard And Experienced To This Day. A Definite Stop On Your Trip To Nashville. Hopefully, Ill Have Time To Stop By The Adjoining Restaurant On My Next Visit. Great Job To All The Wonderful Staff!(OH, OH!! Do Not Forget The Patsy Cline Museum Located Upstairs In The Same Building As The Johnny Cash Museum. Separate Purchase!)

I went to the Johnny Cash Museum on Oct. 27, 2020. I came to Nashville for a visit from Chicago. The museum is great and it gave you a lot of details about his life. It had great exhibits and pictures of himself and June. Inside they showed a film about the movies he played in and of course they play his music all day everyday. They have nice souvenirs you can purchase as well. Nice place to visit if youre a Johnny Cash fan.

As a younger person (25) who grew up listening to Johnny Cash, this Museum is a great place to go back in time and experience Johns life step by step. There are many great artifacts here, and a great chronicle of his life. Even if you think you know all there is to know about John, you will learn something here that you never knew before. There are larger displays for specific big moments and stories related to John. I was honestly surprised by how popular and busy this museum was, even with a younger group, and during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a nice gift shop, and the coffee cafe seemed busy the whole time we were there. The only thing I would change is to combine the Patsy Cline museum upstairs with your ticket for the Cash museum. After paying ~$20 each for John, it is hard to shell out more money for Patsy, on top of gift shop purchases. Still worth it for any lover of Johnnny Cashs music.

Have been here several times with out of town guests. Having read the history timeline portion of the museum multiple times, this time I sat and enjoyed the video of his acting career. My absolute favorite part of the museum is Johnnys reciting of Ragged Old Flag. Right now is the time to go... although a mask is required, there were only a few people there which made it easy to go through and read without feeling rushed and seating was available at all video viewings.

This is a thorough collection of memorabilia and information about The Man In Black who became a music legend and top-selling recording artist. If youre visiting Nashville its a must-see destination even if you dont know much about Johnny Cash going in or if you think you know everything. The museum is located right in the heart of the strip on Third Avenue South. There are no tour guides, but a separate viewing room lets people watch on a projection screen an abundance of biographical footage of Cash, as well as many of his appearances singing live on stage throughout his career. The souvenir room in the museum entrance has a large variety of take home merchandise. For an extra twenty dollars, visitors can go upstairs to see the Patsy Cline exhibit.*Note: photos contributed and posted with this review have been removed, either by GM, a proprietor or someone on their behalf, a bot or a hacker. Steep price for a museum of this size. All of the interactive functionality of the exhibits shut down due to the pandemic hoax. No price reduction though! A millennial completely unengaged male ticket salesperson who seemed bothered to have to interrupt his conversation with another employee to have to sell me a ticket. The docent at the entrance was very friendly and informative. She obviously cares about making sure customers enjoy the experience. Spent about an hour inside. Would have stayed longer if the shut down interactive features were working. The exhibits are very well put together. Didnt buy anything in the gift shop. The selections are tacky. Not befitting the great man that was Cash.

The museum was great, and I wish I could give more of a review as anyone should go and enjoy as you will learn alot, but I was angry at the end...I learned was how amazing he was in a spotlight and how great he was as a musician. Then, for 4 minutes at the end of the tour I found out what Johnny Cash was actually passionate about other than his music...He cared for people who made mistakes, who struggled in a system that didnt catered to them. Because of this this; He is the first star to sing to incarcerated people. He did not see this as singing to inmates, but actual human beings. He saw the problems that we see today, and spent the rest of his career advocating for change. This should be his legacy. Not a guitar when I leave the museum.I dont know about the plight of an incarcerated person, I dont know how it is to be demonized and hated by everyone. But, he treated everyone as equals, and this museum only spent 4 minutes of your time explaining that.As I said, the museum was great, but all it was is relics to a man who did much more than just enjoy the riches he got. He fought for reform, and I never saw it in this place, and I was angry...

We were looking forward to visiting the Johnny Cash Museum since we booked our trip to Nashville. Our experience lived up to what we hoped. I particularly enjoyed the section where you could use the audio mixers to take certain songs and isolate either the vocal or guitar tracks. Also the handwritten notes taken from Cash are incredibly well preserved and offer some cool insight behind the man in black. The staff was helpful and nice but could probably do a bit more to control the traffic flow into the small areas. At certain points it became a bit tight in there and if affected the experience a little bit. But other than that we had a great time.

We are Johnny Cash fans. I did not believe this exhibit was as personal about the life and times of a legend like Johnny. If felt more like the unapproved biography than the real thing. In fairness there are some amazing artifacts: Did you know Johnny Cash was proficient in Morse Code? Or that he was an accomplished radio operator in the Military? There are films, songs and some clothing in this small, crowded museum. I stress small. It is difficult to see a lot of the exhibition because you have to wait or move on. I feel for the entrance fee, the museum could restrict by amount of people per hour, to allow for a more free flowing experience. You and I know that will not happen. So expect crowds and try if you can to learn something you did not already know about Mr. Cash. In particular I was interested in his early life, what ever happened to his children, ex wife and then June Carter? More personal stories and artifacts would have been something of interest.
