Visited 12/4/2020. I didnt know what to expect before coming here. A lot of the people Ive met that have been here have said always been one of those places that you have to visit. The interactive sites in the museum are closed due to covid 19. But I was able to still enjoy my self looking at all the artists, musicians accomplishments, accolades, awards. Such an amazing place. If you love music, especially how early music has started out like me. You should enjoy yourself.

AMAZING, SO INFORMATIVE A MUST DO WHILE IN NASHVILLEWife & I holidaying in your beautiful country for 2 months & spent 2 glorious 2 days in Nashville NOT LONG ENOUGH though so we will be back. We spent about 4 hours in your museum. We were a group of 6 friends visiting & played a lot with all your interactive instruments. I grew up listening to alot of this type of music with my parents constantly playing records so I was really in her element & wanted to look at everything in detail. This is a great museum with a lot of memorabilia If you are a really big music lover than this certainly is a must even if you are not still worth viewing. Tickets are not expensive at all. Great job keep up the awesome displays. Just for a little thank you we received a FREE guitar pick as a souvenir.

The history of music!Johnny Cash, Elvis, Motown, etc.. it was fascinating. The museum is not too big, so you arent spending the whole day here. There was alot to see though. You can buy souvenirs in the lobby and youll get to keep your VIP lanyard. Cost was $25.00 to get in and well worth it.

Way better than expected, dont judge it from the outside appearance. We were hesitating at stopping in from the look on the outside looking a little dated and worn, but figured we would try it and glad we did. The exhibits were clean, well maintained, modern and fresh and shockingly different than what we had expected. Our kids loved the wide range of history shown and the interactive stations throughout the building. There was so much more history to various musicians and artists than we had ever known. Looking at various instruments, documents, and even outfits worn gave us a great appreciation for this museum. We definitely recommend visiting this location and will be back the next time in town.

Excellent museum for anyone who loves music, instruments, and the story of the musicians who make the soundtracks of our lives. Dont expect the kind of star-based exhibits you see at the Rock -N- Roll Hall of Fame. This focuses more on the studio musicians, their music and the stories of how the music was made. Among my favorite exhibits: Kieth Richards talking about recording at Muscle Shoals Studios; tribute to The Wrecking Crew from LA; the Johnny Cash wing and the Sun Studios videos, especially Jerry Lee Lewis. Our son loved the interactive demonstration area, which he visited while we read, watched and immersed ourselves in the rest of the museum.

The history and exhibits are great. It is a great flow - the items and mementos are priceless to see. ONLY reason we took a star off is that a few of the staff members were super rude. It wasn’t a deal killer though, we enjoyed the exhibits and would absolutely recommend our friends to go.

I absolutely loved this place. I got a groupon deal and went with my daughter while in Nashville for Christmas vacation. I really enjoyed myself. I love history and music so it was perfect. So much memorabilia from the decades and there are also interactive exhibits. You can pretend to record your own studio session in a studio with microphones that work. They also have base guitars, drum sets, and many other instruments you can hold and interact with. The Grammy exhibit is amazing. As well as the Jimmy Hendrix, Johnny Cash, etc. I could have stayed longer but my daughter wasnt into it as much as I was.

The was an awesome museum to visit! The staff is friendly, helpful & full of fun facts and information. This multimedia experience is suitable for most age groups( in my opinion). I am fairly certain that there were wheelchairs available but it is most definitely wheelchair accessible. Its interactive & quite open (spacious), so I never felt cramped or crowded. Theres soo much to see, though the flow & layout werent the best in my opinion. It was a fairly wide range of music & music history explored here, not just country music! And lots of musical instruments & equipment for visitors to try for themselves. Theres an entire Grammy room that offers more than expected and lots of photo opts all around. They encourage it!This museum is on the Tennessee Music Pathways and a Greyline tour stop. Dont forget to stop by the cute little gift shop before leaving. Great family trip location.

If youre the kind of person whos interested in seeing pictures of artists performing back in the day but dont know how to search on Google for said images or if youre interested in seeing the costumes they wore during the performances or the instruments they played with or the chairs they sat in or the mics they sang into this is the place for you.

The exhibits ranged in quality a bit. Many of them were interactive, which was fun. Overall, I felt it was overpriced. This place would be best for very serious music lovers and for people who are primarily interested in older musicians. Very contemporary artists were represented only minimally. Street parking at a meter is $2.75ish per hour and this museum can be easily explored in its entirety in less than two hours.

Points out that there is way more going on behind the scenes that you have no idea how it works not how much work is involved. There were individual tributes for so many musicians. You could focus on one or dozens. It spanned Country, Rock and Roll, Woodstock and many more.
