When walking in Nashville this is a good place to visit. It is not original buildings or location. The settlement give you a feeling for what the first settlers managed to start a place on the river that we all have come to enjoy. The first child was born in a cave along the banks of the river.

Nashville is a must see! A small city with a plethora of character and charm. This beautiful little city has an abundance of music and architectural landscaping. The history of Nashville and it’s deep rooted musical connections are something everyone should see. For me, This year, it was Christmas is Nashville.Merry Christmas to all and to all a Happy New Year.

Nice to see if youre walking downtown and doing other things, but not if you are necessarily driving here just to see this fort. The buildings have no historical value; they are just replicas of typical fort buildings. In fact, one of the descriptions states that the fort was located somewhere in the area. Lots of homeless people sleeping in the fort, but we felt safe. This is an open type of historical place. There is no attendant or guide. Its kind of like an open exhibit, so its accessible 24/7. Many of the signs need to be rewritten for non-history buffs. As tourists, they were pretty hard to understand if you dont know much about the area.

Lots of cool information about the history of Nashville. Dont miss the plaque to the north about how it got started and the display to the south honoring the local native tribes. Was recently renovated and a decent 10 min history lesson.

We arrived to find all the buildings closed and locked. Dont know if it was a scheduled shut down or what, there were no signs to that effect. But we walked through the fort and read all the signs and enjoyed ourselves regardless. Being in the fort makes you feel like youre stepping back in time. Also got a great shot of Nissan stadium. So definitely put this on your list, just call first

I would love to see the plaques updated with more PC (and more accurate) information. Its not actually the historical site, but a replica of it nearby the original site. Not that I expected differently, but Googles description is slightly misleading

It was cold but a nice experience. Glad we made the stop. The people in Nashville downtown are friendly. Some downtowns weve visited, you just feel this vibe that its not family friendly. But in Nashville, even theres music bars everywhere, it just feels family friendly. Its really nice that you can rent bikes and scooter almost everywhere.

Pretty much just an open space homeless shelter. Seriously, the Nashville homeless need our help. They just hang out down here to skim off the tourist.

Nice enough to learn about the local history of the area. Just be mindful of some of the homeless that hang there.

This is a cool little stop off of the beaten path of Broadway. There isnt much there except for the historic log buildings. But, its really cool to have a little piece of history that survived and still being maintained in the downtown area. Its probably not something that I would go to downtown to visit, but if I am walking around it is a nice little side distraction to the hustle and bustle of the city.

Cool to see the replica of the fort which was actually not in the same location but close. Didnt care to see all the garbage below the fort on the edge of the river. Hope the city of Nashville takes some pride in their riverfront and cleans it up.

Cool historic spot. WAY too many homeless people here. I felt like I was exploring their home instead of visiting a historic fort. They were sleeping on the ground everywhere and all posted up like they have been there for awhile

Neat place to check out and read the historical placards. Its a small destination, so it doesnt take long to walk through. Its right on the river straight across from the stadium. Its a very scenic spot in downtown as well as an important part of history. I dont know if the doors are ever unlocked to go inside of the buildings but everything was locked up tight on the Saturday we were there

Great historical site. Also gives you a true idea of just how high the flood waters of 2010 were as you can see the water line on the fort.
