Didnt realize I was a much a fan of country music until visiting. Well worth a visit. Because Im not a huge fan, I breezed through and just stopped at exhibits that caught my eye. I found myself stopping way more than Id expected I would. If you are in Nashville, its a must do activity.Covid-19 precautions are in effect with mask requirements and clearly marked 6 foot distance. They also provide a stylus for use with exhibits to prevent touching. I felt safe.

If youre not into Country Music this will probably be very boring to you. The price is a bit much for the short exhibit. The thing I liked most was Elvis car! I think the Johnny Cash museum wouldve been better. Some tips:- AAA Discount- You can buy a ticket an hour before closing and also come back the following day. A great tactic if youre short on time.- There is a nice gift shop/stores inside.

First and foremost on this visit was the Boudleaux Bryant and Felice Bryant exhibit. Youll want to carve out at least two hours to see everything. So amazing! The museum and HOF is immaculately clean and the exhibits are engaging, informative and unique. Just getting started as it will take an entire day to fully tour the Country Music Hall of Fame. I found Gram Parsons display! Loving It! Here is Loretta Lynn still canning her own vegetables even after becoming famous as well as her when she was young and her family home in Butcher Holler. She really lived there!Of interest was Web Pierces car with the silver gun on the back. Its loaded with silver dollars. Amazing! His door handle a silver pistol with pearl handles. Imagine ridding around in this vehicle. Look inside his car to see the saddle console in the middle studded with silver dollars —Then theres the cornfield ! Do you remember this great TV show? (Hee-Haw) How about Lulu and Junior Sample? The ultimate place to visit while in Nashville!

There were a lot of great country singers not included and way too much space and time spent on Kacey Musgrave. Also they are charging too much and having all of the interactive parts closed down. Not worth your time and money unless you love Kacey Musgrave. Some good history at the beginning but after 1980 the displays were really disappointing.

The museum offers a lot of information and provides excellent displays. My only dislike was everything post-1980/1990 was limited. I went to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum primarily to see the new location for Hatch Show Print in Nashville. I stayed on to tour the museum and was generally impressed. I grew up with the songs of Jimmie Rodgers in our household and so it was interesting to see the development of the genre from those early days. I would like to re-visit the museum to see what new additions, exhibits and displays they might have to offer.

Its not every day you get to visit an entire Museum dedicated to one of the very things thats defined the course of your life, but when you do, hold on to every moment and savor it from every possible angle. Some day, something as simple as the Red, White & Blue guitar you grew up looking at on every bumper in your home town and tuning into on one of three radio stations, may come right back and remind you what it gave you, how what it represented tilted your thinking, and bring you nostalgic comfort you need when you need it most.

We had a good time looking at all the history and memorabilia throughout the museum. It took us roughly and hour and 10 minutes and that without stopping and reading every section, so bring comfortable walking shoes. PRO TIP, get your tickets online a couple of days before, or get them at the facility the day before! PRO TIP #2... be at the Museum at 9am when it opens, to get in and knock out the 3rd floor. Then you can make the 11.30am RCA Studio B Tour (go on the weekend and see if you can get RON for the tour guide! Ron LOVES his job and does and amazing job communicating the musical and historical significance of the studio to the artist and growth of the industry!!) When you get back, grab a quick, light snack and knock out the rest of the museum. Knock out the Hatch Show Print Tour, then head off for some dinner down on Broadway. Makes for an excellent day!

A must visit spot when in Nashville. If you can swing it to attend on a Saturday, be sure to check out the complimentary songwriters show. If I could rate that separately, it would be a 5/5 - nothing beats the intimate setting, and hearing firsthand from the writer what the inspiration for the song was and hear their experiences of trying to ‘make it’ in country music. This was the highlight of my time on the city - even more so, then the show at the Ryman! Seeing a few of the items on display was also cool, but I’m a fan of live music.
