We went when the sun was setting during a thunderstorm in July. The light was yellow topaz and it shined through the clouds and lit up the faces of the memorial. I didnt know what we had stumbled on to. It was beautiful and solemn in a way I havdnt experienced. It wasnt a gloominess that I have felt at other memorials. Gorgeous.

Nice park with memorials and childrens play area along a very busy riverfront trailway. Beautiful views of the Mississippi. Located behind the Greenbelt building at the edge of the artist area.

This park is a memorial to all the soldiers who never made it home. Everyone should take a trip down there to at least read all the plaques take a moment other day to remember everybody that isnt here so they could be.

Thus is a special place. Best in spring-fall when you can wander and reflect on global wars and conflict info presented in a way worthy of Washington, DC

I found a treasure of a park tucked behind the old Grain Belt Brewery. It has wonderful walking trails, a great view of the Mississippi, beautiful gardens, and an impressive sculpture garden- two of them actually.
