I was more excited about being at the house than the house itself. The house is nothing fancy but it was cool just being there. The house was empty and there is no indication that the house is even connected to Purple Rain or Prince. The neighborhood seemed quiet with a few neighbors out.

Beautiful little house...I only stayed at the front as this is a residential property and I didnt want to disturb anyone inside.Its a long straight walk from the number 21 Metro Bus but its worth it.I visited on a hot day and the walk itself was lovely and peaceful eventhough at the top of the road people were celebrate Cinco de Mayo!!

OMFG.!!!!I COULD NOT MN WITHOUT GOING HERE!!! I CRIED ...it was so amazing being there....

Thats one checked off the bucket list! The place is mostly unkempt, but I attribute it to no one living there. It is within a neighborhood, so keep it respectful. Regardless...a must visit if in the area! A piece of music/movie history! Prince4ever

This is the house that was in the movie Purple Rain. The house is not purple nor does it have any Prince logos on the house. It is not a museum & you cannot tour the house. If your lucky ( like I was) a mailman will walk by, take your picture in front of the house & tell you a little history of the abandoned house.

The Kids house in Purple Rain! Really cool to see. I dont believe anyone lives here as its part of the Prince estate.

My husband pulled up to the house and played a series of videos from Purple Rain. It was awesome!

I was amazed when I found out about this house 24 hours earlier. One of my favourite movies growing up as well as a huge Prince fan! I only wish we couldve gone inside or had something else to do here, a plaque or some signage wouldve been nice

Small unassuming house in a residential neighborhood. Easy to drive by or park on the street. Im sure the people who live in the house are used to people stopping in front to take pictures

The house from PURPLE RAIN. It is vacant and PRINCE purchased the house in 2015. Its become a memorial that people leave flowers etc. Just keep in mind its in a real neighborhood that real people live in so just be respectful of them.
