We had our wedding ceremony there and it was beautiful. Theres a nice archway in the back of the gardens for ceremonies and it was a great location for a social distancing ceremony. We had 50 guests and no one got sick.
Such a beautiful set of gardens. We came in the beginning of October and there were several flower gardens in full bloom. Absolutely gorgeous place to explore some unique flowers and plants, and also a spectacular spot to take some photos if you are looking to take wedding or engagement photos. There is a small lot with free parking off Minnehaha Creek Pkwy.
This is a smaller garden and most of what is planted has not bloomed yet, however, it looks like it will be nice once it does. This is a replica of what the garden was back when.If you like birdwatching, be sure to also check out the Prairie just below the garden, and see if you can find the Longfellow statue.I am giving this just a 3 star, just for now, just because nothing is blooming right now.
Livestreamed a wedding here. Was an amazing place for a wedding. Very beautiful.
A tucked-away area with free parking and easy access to the Minnehaha Falls
Absolutely beautiful falls! Lots of walking trails, and beautifully maintained!
Very relaxing garden with hummingbirds everywhere.
This is a gorgeous little formal garden, well laid out and thoughtfully planned. There are benches for sitting and watching the wildlife, especially the hummingbirds that flock to the area midsummer. It features a large number of native Minnesota flowers as well as some annuals for all-season color. Just behind it are some nature paths and now-hidden statuary. Lovely.
Good place to walk
Beautiful gardens and flowers!Very peaceful.Several professional photographers were shooting pics and video footage; I was grateful to speak with one of the women who was kind enough to give me some hands-on pointers! We both made a slo-mo movie of hummingbirds—which I wouldn’t have noticed if she didn’t point them out.Good practice. Her work was beautiful!
Beautiful blooming flowers today. Great job by the groundskeepers/landscapers
We were to the Longfellow Gardens for first time after a stop at the DQ. It was twilight, very beautiful even then. We noticed Longfellow himself down the hill towards the pond. We were sad to see he has some how lost his sense of touch. Aside of his hands missing he looked alright for his age. The last time I saw him he was out in the middle of a low slung meadow with a visible pool behind him. Now theres all the overgrowth, the hill hiding highway 55, the light rail (dam and creek), there could be a Wheres Longfellow? sign.
Beautiful in the Spring and Summer.
Gorgeous Park. My daughter got married here today. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, all the flowers and butterflies.
Small garden that has plenty of pollinators. A nice little walk away from Minnehaha park.
Wonderful place with beautiful flowers, butterflies, and hummingbirds certain times of year

Great maintained garden
Its beautiful and peaceful.
Come here all the time because of Pokemon Go, really pretty elevated garden area near the falls.
This is a beautiful, well-tended garden. A little bit of peace and quiet right above Hiawatha Avenue.
Very good place
So many hummingbirds in August and September. It truly is a beautiful garden. Tonight we saw numerous butterflies, a frog, giant grasshopper, and numerous birds.
Beautiful Gardens
Amazing gardens. Fun play to hang out or have a picnic
Hidden Treasure! For some reason, even after being in the area often, I didnt know this garden existed for years. It is, especially for its size, stunning. I always think its like seeing a fireworks displays. There is such a variety of sizes, shapes, colors, etc. that the layout keeps your eye moving and delighted. We always take our binoculars for casual birdwatching and its not unusual to see Waxwings, song sparrows, goldfinches, bluebirds, and hummingbirds as well as flyovers of egrets and herons. In Sept 2016 there were dozens of hummingbirds buzzing the flowers mixed in with many types of insect pollinators. Its a short walk to Minnehaha Falls/Park which has its own variety of features and attributes. I always wonder how many folks at the Falls realize the beauty that is just up the hill.
