Splendid walk! You don t see the cars anymore. This provides a feeling of being a lot further from the city than we are actually. I havent had such a sun bath for a while !!! I recommend !
So much space and the river next to it. Wonderful.
I love this place, quiet spread out. Go east and find a ton of places to put your Hammock. 2 paths one paved one foot but it does run directly on the river. Windy on the river so on a warm day its an absolute dream
Beautiful, clean, safe park. Great for walking, relaxing or bike riding.
Great walking areas with beautiful view of the river
Great place to tailgate for a game! Really nice and well kept area. We had plenty of room to setup our tents and chairs, also had room for a full grill to cook up some amazing food. We had the added benefit of the Minneapolis Police being on site all day so we didnt have to worry about our belongings being stolen out of the truck when we were at the game. I would recommend this place for sure. 10 bucks to park and tailgate. I will go back!!
Great park, lots of room and never too busy.
Great place to launch a kayak!
I came to Geocache on the embankment and I found it.
Beautiful picnic area tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city and campus. There are picking tables and a few grills, a game friendly wide open grassy area, and the rivers right there. Theres no playground for kids, parking isnt free, and only restrooms are porta-Johns, though.
Very beautiful area that is great for cookouts or any large get together. Its right in the river with a nice view on campus buildings
Nice place along River for picnics. Never busy. Wide open spaces to play games. Lots of parking. Bring credit card to pay for parking.
This location is downtown Houston fun for adults and kids not too sure about food in area.
Great access to trails and the river. There is paid parking right at the park.
A nice park with open space and shade next the river and campus.
Lots of open room to play frisbee or other sports.
Great place to tailgate for Gopher football games. $10 parking.
Parking is very difficult. I recommend using publixc transportation or foot-power to get there.
Nice little place to refresh your mind and try to get away from city life.
Gorgeous walk/bike ride. So close to my house cant believe I didnt know about it! The gorge is especially nice
This place is lit. But its a park not a parking lot
Great location for regattas
Great for tailgating before Gold Gopher football! Only $10 per vehicle! Other than tailgating its a pretty bland park. Not much in the way of facilities, although there is a lot of open space and trails for games or running.
Been working all day and looking for some fresh air? Didnt do well on one of you midterms? This is might be the best place on campus for blowing off some steam!
Nice place to sit by the river.
Pretty cool park alongside the river. Alot of traffic noise.
Great events. I am not sure if it is the City of Minneapolis or the University of Minnesota that controls this park.
On THIS SATURDAY, October 18th from 10am-1pm the cooperatives are working with the Mississippi River Fund and the National Park Service to plant Oak trees on the banks of the Mississippi River! We’ll be right next to campus at the East River Flats Park, which is a site that the National Park Service is working to restore the natural habitat. Earlier this year members from several of our cooperatives pulled invasive plants from the park – the Oak trees are their native replacement! Please RSVP by emailing me if you’re coming!
I played with my team catch the flag GameIt was a good flat place to play on it
What can I say; its a park on campus. Great views, clean and well maintained. The parking lot was full, but that was no surprise, otherwise it was a great place to hang-out before attending an event.
Great for walks in the afternoon. Often something interesting happening on the lawn.
Great little spot to run the stairs or hillside, but the sewage smell is a little strong over by the boathouse.
Nice open area on campus
Best kept tailgating secret on Gopher Gameday.
A nice place for an early-morning jog, but it could use a few benches and/or picnic tables.
Dragons live in the rivercaves lining the banks near this area. Please, keep your picnic items in reliable, Zipluck baggies, or the wafting odors will begin awakening said dragons, causing some amounts of frustration in the adjacent cricket fields (Summer season only). Also, no baseball games are allowed during cricket tournaments, lest there be snide comparisons made amongst bystanders.
For a small park in the city, this is a really nice place to hang out in the summer. Theres plenty of field and a tiny beach by the river.
Good memories hanging out down by the ruver. Some creepy people down there once in a while though
Nice park on the Mississippi River flats. It was the end of the Ragnar relay .
Great place for tailgating for Gopher football games!
Seriously fun place to hang out.
