Holy cow, what a great little museum! Full of great artifacts and stories from and about local Memphis artists. Tons of great info with interactive kiosks and listening stations. We did the combo pricing with the Rock n Soul museum to save a few bucks, totally worth it, all within walking distance of Beale! Plus hit up Lansky Brothers in the lobby for some fresh gear!

We really enjoyed ourselves. The people were friendly and it was very convenient to the other attractions around town. Also not far from Tunica which is always a major plus.you will be able to experience all genres of music and they put special notice to the Memphis Tennessee artist that have made it. You and your family will enjoy

This place is the smaller sister of the Museum of Rock and Soul. You can get a double ticket for the both. Its not the biggest museum and you can get round it in less that half an hour. Lots of fun exhibits - plenty of fab outfits from the key stars who were instrumental in making music what it is today. A nice museum but not a must see.

It was a nice quiet place. Smaller than we were thinking it was going to be. Glad we had purchased the combo ticket. Takes less than an hour, for those of you that do itineraries.

Really cool history of the music of the area, part of the territory is that it ties into all the other local historic sights. Very clean and good air conditioning inside.

8 bucks for what? Not much there. The ten dollar tour at Sun Studios is 100x better. STAX way better, Rock and Soul is great. The tour should be free the only thing that stands out is the kiosk that shows the inductees influences. Other then that you can see everything else and more elsewhere. I think they just borrowed some relics from the Hard Rock Cafe next door and are charging for what was free! And the headphones do not work. Dont go here!!!

Very interesting history of music from Memphis. Loved the videos with headphones of interviews located throughout the Hall of Fame.

St
Review №63

The idea for the Museum is good and there were a few cool exhibits, but I have a few gripes: One thing is that the majority of the headphones located at the exhibits only had one working earphone! Suprising for a New Museum 2say the least. Also, all of the videos looped at each location, not necessarily pertaining to that exhibit... and you couldnt restart them, so if u walked up on a segment u found interesting u would have had 2wait 15 minutes or so for it 2 restart... Aggrivating!Maybe I missed it, but I did not see any list of the inductees of the Memphis Music Hall of fame either... dissapointing. If u really want 2spend 8 or 10 dollars to get some good memphis music history do yourself a favor and checkout the STAX ROCK AND SOUL MUSEUM...Way better in my opinion!
