Stopped here while traveling. We got here early morning on a beautiful fall day just in time to see the sun rise. Walked the entire bridge and back. So we started in Memphis, Tennessee and walked to west Memphis, Arkansas along the Mississippi River. Great start to our day!

I have been coming to this place ever since it opened. Its definitely a great place for a walk/run. It is family friendly. You can rent scooters or bikes right where you park and you can walk down to tom Lee park. Usually is a mempops stand to get something refreshing in the summer. Definitely recommend to anyone who is trying to get out during this pandemic.

Great addition to downtown Memphis ! Beautiful people walking, jogging, biking. My first visit even though I mostly grew up in Memphis. The only things lacking, in my opinion, are:1) It needs a few trash cans on the route. (There was NOT ONE piece of litter) Thats due to good cleaners and/or conscientious guests.2) It needs a few shaded benches on the route for those of us who need an occasional break in the journey. Its fabulous !

This is a great experience. A nice walk from the Tennessee Side, across the Mississippi River, into Arkansas, and back. You can walk, jog, ride bikes, or stoll across. I am glad that I found this to conclude my trip to Memphis. I will be back and maybe next time will have my bicycle. Now, I can tell everyone that I walked across the mighty Mississippi River.

A nice place to walk outside a crowd of Memphis downtown. After Sunset they set a light on bridge. Though Sunset view is blocked by bridge itself and a sometimes standing train.Half of the bridge is in Tennessee and other half comes under Arkansas. Open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM everyday.Overall nice place to walk & chill!

This was great to do, especially during sunset. Biking over the bridge was really beautiful- I think it would have been long to walk it. People were respectful and mostly moved to the side when they heard us coming. I think it took a total of about 15-20 min to bike to Arkansas and back with stopping for a few pictures and to enjoy the view.If you have a spare afternoon, I would suggest going!

This is a fantastic walk. I walked from Tom Lees across to Arkansas and back. It’s about 4 miles from Tom Lee park across and back. You can access the gate to the bridge through the Big River Church parking lot. It’s not as hard to find as other reviews say. I walked it in December, in the late afternoon, and had the place to myself.

Had a blast with my dad walking across the bridge. Highly underrated visit in Memphis! Near the middle is where you cross the border from Tennessee to Arkansas. Such a cool experience and a great view of the city! I wish there hadnt been a train sitting on the other side of the bridge so we could see the other side, but it didnt detract from the walk at all.

I had such a beautiful morning today at Big River Crossing. I often times go to the other parks like Tom Lee and Mud Island. This time I switched it up and Im glad I did. Along the walk youll notice plenty of cameras to make you feel safe. I was there at 6 AM and even though it was 30 degrees, I saw joggers along the walkway. I highly recommend coming here for the views.

So during the day, it was a nice walk. Cool breeze blowing by, and plenty of shade. As soon as the sun started setting, 1000s of spiders started to come from everywhere. As someone who is terrified of spiders, I almost died. They even drop from overhead like they are trying to catch people. Never will go at night again....

Awesome place to see the river and also get some exercise. Almost one mile across, the western/Arkansas end covers a lot of dry flat land that floods over sometimes. Nice sign showing the Arkansas/Tennessee border line, and nice view of Memphis. At night the bridge lights up with nice LEDs so you can be there as late as 10pm when it closes. Was chilly in the winter over the river, but I bet it’s nice when the weather is right.

Absolutely amazing place to visit. Gorgeous at night with the bridge light shows every 30 minutes and lights dancing around you. It had an extremely high amount of security cameras and emergency alert poles to make you feel safe, plus the lights (that worked) would light up brighter when you got closer. Halfway through (from the Memphis side) the overhead walkway lights were off, though you could still see from the display lights below. When I got to the covered area towards Arkansas, there were no lights anywhere for about five minutes of walking. Further on there were some lights again, though it was still darker than the Memphis side. Ill definitely return and I hope theyll get the light issues fixed soon. I highly recommend it even with the issues!

Enjoy the natural wonders along the mighty MS as you ride or walk the Big River Trail shared between Memphis and West Memphis. This is the right time of year as the season shifts from the sizzling summer heat to the mild warmth tempered by a nice early fall breeze bought on after a nice rain. The trail is a little over 5 miles depending on your starting point so bring/drink plenty of fluids and if you go late in the day be sure to protect against natures night time friendlies. If you are a lover of the outdoors, Id say you shouldnt miss the opportunity to visit this trail...

Very interesting walk!! Cameras everywhere so you can feel safe. Portalets on either end. Also rentabikes. Great views of the city, perfect for family photos. The bragging factor is big, too..you can WALK ACROSS THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER all the way to Arkansas (or Tennessee). See the architecture of the old bridge! Feel the cool air coming off the river! Get shaken by the passing rail traffic! Watch the boats go by so fast! Try to spot the secret hobo camps! A really great addition to city and country life. And you can see the other bridge.
