Great hike. Went on 02/20/17 right after the rain. There were two waterfalls on the Backbone Trail, literally on opposite ends. Absolutely worth it!Would definitely recommend long pants and long sleeves because you will occasionally go through thick shrubbery.

Maybe im just doing this wrong but this trail doesnt seem to exist anymore. I tried to get there from backbone trail as Google maps instructs me to do. But as soon as I get to the trailthats supposed to lead me down to the falls Im instead met with overgrown shrubs and steep cliffs. I see no way down anywhere.

Short hike but you can keep going if you are looking for more. Sadly youll find that the water has caught some material that youll find along the stream. The hike to the photo I posted is a steep hike down and dangerous. I had poles with me and hiking boots. Wear big repellant for mosquitos and be aware of poison oak. Overall it is a nice place to getaway and you can find yourself along if you hike further out. At this time you can spot wildflower. And remember LEAVE NO TRACE ONLY FOOTPRINTS

My friend and i visited here during a road trip on a whim, ended up being our favorite stop of the day.

Nice, easy hike...backbone trail. Elevation change only about 300 feet but you do it several times

Great hike with great waterfalls and pools.

Good spot to tip your hat n take a nap

This waterfall runs only when it rains and a couple of hours afterwards (depends how saturated the ground is). The decent to it could be sketchy and somewhat dangerous, but its worth to see when it runs.
