Such a peaceful place full of distinct plants. Though some of the sections are closed due to COVID-19. Still it was a pleasant visit. Would definitely recommend going there. A must visit for nature lovers!!!

Olbrich Gardens are a flower, plant, and tree extravaganza. Although some flowers are seasonal, there is always a pleasant look at nature. Paths for the most part can also be navigated with electric riding scooters for the walking disadvantaged. Open to the weather so choose your temperance and suitable clothing. Enjoy.

Great place to visit! So many flowers are blooming. Its beautiful. We got there early in the morning and walked the outside trails. You cant beat beautiful flowers on a nice day, for free! No other museums were open on Sunday. Id give it 2 thumbs up!

I went to Olbrich with my husband and friends on a hot day to check out the butterfly exhibit. The inside of the garden is humid, with 2 levels where the tropical plants grow. This inside part is my most familiar, as this is where my mother took me as a child. The outside gardens are huge! There are acres of different types of gardens to see. The pathways lead to a golden shrine and shallow pool. I would come here to get photos taken for a special event, or to simply waste the day looking at flowers and butterflies.

Olbrich Gardens is exceptionally beautiful, expensive and very affordable. It’s a wonderful place for families, couples and singles. I love how the back open air gardens are absolutely free, and the Thai Pavilion is an absolute gem of the city of Madison. Can’t wait to go back!!

That pic of the beach, just saying, is the whole thing. Right to the left is a dumpster and right behind is two to three families. The sand is like, sandbox sand. But theres tons of grass space for all your activities back there, too and this is three inches from the world famous beer garden.

A beautiful park located at the Northern edge of Lake Monona. On most days, the State Capitol is visible from the edge of the lake. There is a very large grass area and a well-appointed children playground area. It is also a place for launching boat into Lake Monona during the warmer months. Overall, its a great place to visit and spent a lovely weekend at.

This is about the beach park and not the botanical gardens. The beach here is small. The main attraction now is the refreshment stand that sells micro brewed beers. Numerous tables have been added to allow a large group of people to relax and enjoy the evening. There is a nice boat ramp at tge other end of the park.

The place is beautiful, went with my family in vacation, since I have a Nikon camera they made me pay $31.00 for a permit as photographer, they didnt care when I told them that my family and me are visiting and that the photos taken were for personal use and memories to share, like other people who visited that day. Told the person that I could put away the camera in my bag, but didnt let me, and insisted in me leaving it with him, so I accepted leaving the camera, and ask for a ticket, the person told me that it was good and didnt need a ticket. So I paid since I dont trust that way of the facility, made me fill some paper that mention me as a photographer in an event or photo shooting.

Absolutely stunning outdoor gardens! The whole place seems to be run by sweet, old women and the best part is that its free! There is also a small conservatory indoors that you can see for a small fee. Very friendly staff, lovely gift shop. 10/10 would recommend. Also seems like a beautiful place to get married, wink wink.

The beer garden is good: a nice selection of beers and some limited food choices. The picnic tables are nice, and the atmosphere is relaxed. No noise, fights, or other problems that you might expect at a venue whose main attraction is alcohol.I havent used the boat launch, beach (is there actually a beach there?) or other recreational facilities there, so I cant comment on those.

Beautiful botanical garden. Butterfly season just beginning there, as well as LOTS of construction, too. Rose garden is yet to be in high bloom. We really enjoyed our time kayaking at Olbrich Park lake. The kayaks were in excellent condition and the staff were very helpful. I am disabled and I appreciated their assistance in getting in and out of the kayak. The lake is just the right size to spend an hour or two and not being too far out in case there is a problem. We will definitely go back again.
