Ok, so this place is awesome. Ive lived on the near west side for over 30 years and just found Quarry park this year. On the map its small, but the elevation changes and trees allow you to forget its surrounded by a city and explore a crazy patchwork of forest trails. Plan to hike or mountain bike only, since there isnt any open space for sports or picnics, or play equipment for kids.

Trails arent clearly marked or well maintained in many areas. I had to clear a medium sized tree off the main loop trail to pass. The pump track is a good way to spend a few hours and tire yourself out. Theres also some jump lines but it was quite difficult to find the proper paths that lead to them while following the recommended direction of riding. If youre in the area its worth checking out but theres better trails about 10 minutes down the road

Very fun little bike park, its kinda tough to tell whether youre on the right trail because there are so many going all over the place. Fun to watch the kids on their bikes in there! Probably leave the stroller in the car.

Awesome trails for mtb. While not much is marked, and everything can be a little tight but its a fun technical set of tracks hidden away in the middle of madison

Lots of BIG jumps, and tons, I mean TONS of jumps in general. There are also some crazy drops. Labrynth-like trail system is somewhat confusing, but signage in spots does help considerably. No real rhyme or reason to the trail. Go wherever you want, but there are some sections for bikes only. Be careful in the areas that allow both bikers and hikers as there are some blind jumps and corners.

Challenging hiking trail that makes you feel in the middle of the countryside instead of in a neighborhood.

Quarry Park is so lush and lovely. It feels like you can really get lost even though its the middle of Madison. Just watch out for bikes!!! Its also full of ramps and loops and stuff for bikers and they can zoom by pretty fast.

Great little park tucked away in the city near Whole Foods with some great limestone outcropping. Some fun mtn. bike rides through it with easy to difficult trails. Lots of little ups a downs. Fun times walking or biking. Only down side is its small size...

Okay place to go. But if youre looking for good singletrack, I would definitely not recommend. But not a place place to kill an afternoon.

Seems like a good bike park for kids, allot of small jumps, kind of confusing route markers, but a good option

Beautiful park. For being the in middle of the city, this is a true gemstone. Once you get inside of the trees, you really forget that you are in the city. Its quiet, peaceful, and exceptionally clean.

Great nearby place for mountain biking. Mostly dog walkers and bikers. It is becoming a lot more organized than the rest of trails it use to be.

Park is set up on a hill. Parking is on street below. Main entrance is gated and only accessible on foot. Wooded area in the middle of the city! Difficult to find without Google maps.If you deem this review helpful, please give it a like. Thank you.

Surprising amount of trails for a small park. The whole park is wooded and interlaced with steep trails, a pump track, huge jumps, small jumps, and a rollercoaster track. Great for being in the middle of Madison, but the trails arent very long and it is densely wooded and there are no signs, maps, or markers. The only way to know where youre going is to have visited the park often and tried out the different trails. That being said, what often looks like rough and unkempt trails can often end up being fast and smooth, with good lines and well-planned jumps. Most of the trails and jumps are ingeniously linked and intertwined, allowing you to hit many trails and jumps without starting over.
