The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. They do offer good quality of the products that were remarkable and satisfying to buy. Thanks!

First time here. Parking is $3 for the first 90 min. I dont know after that. We actually went there for the Donut Man. Their famous strawberry donut or any fruit donut are out of season. Otherwise they had jelly donuts as their filling. We settled for a classic donut and cinnamon (meh).Theres a lot of good looking restaurants though. We went to the pupusas one and the filipino bowl (Sari Sari) after the Donut Man. The pupusas were good (bean and cheese and chicken) but their chicken tamale was perfect. The masa and chicken were juicy and not dry. Sari Sari was ok. Too expensive for the medium sized bowl. I ordered the manok lechon which was two rotisserie chicken pieces, egg, and rice. Minimal flavor.Seems like theres other good eateries here but time was restrained. Otherwise, wed spend more time. Pandemic approved.

You can even buy fruits & veggies,, alcohol, candy, and jewelry. A one stop shop if you ask me!

This place is amazing. I came here with my friend during restaurant week. We selected the restaurant week menu and it did not disappoint. I believe we had over 10 different tastings. We had coconut soup with tofu, cornbread muffin, oysters and shrimp, burrata beet salad, duck wings, ribs, cod, chicken, Brussel sprouts, mac n cheese, key lime pie. Absolutely amazing. Ill definitely go back again. Very impressed. Ayesha Curry really did a phenomenal job with this restaurant. The entire staff are unbelievably helpful, professional, and well versed on all dishes.

Great HH! We had $1 oysters. Hubby said they were some of the best hes had. We started with 8 and ended up ordering 8 more. We also tried the wings. They were good but more like a piece of fried chicken rather than a wing. That sounds weird! but they were super crispy and didnt have sauce on them. Overall, a good experience and good food so Id go back!

My husband and I visited Grand Central Market on its opening day. This cafe is absolutely fantastic. The bread and pastries are wonderful, and the sandwiches, soups and salads are excellent. We had the Cream of Tomato soup, which was served in a sourdough bread bowl. It was delicious!!! Im so happy that Grand Central Market is in the neighborhood. One of the owners, Gerrard, is very well known in the community. He sells the best bread you can buy at the Sunday Farmers Market in Montrose. He and his business partner (whose name escapes me, I apologize) really know good food. Their expertise is on full display at France Cafe. We highly recommend France Cafe!!!

This is a review of Grand Central as a whole, but not specifically aimed at any individual establishment in it.Parking: Super easy. Plenty of parking on Broadway, averaging about $10. Easy to find a lot within a block or two.Food: Just about every genre of food native to SoCal immigrants is represented. Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Vietnamese, Salvadoran, and vegan health food. Its all good, looks delicious and is priced well. Long lines at most places.Drinks: Only beer, from what I saw. You cant take it outside to the outer seating area.Seating: Sucks. Not enough to handle all the traffic. One person needs to stand in line while another makes continuous rounds to find seats. As a whole, its awesome. For a purist though, its street food for hipsters. For a real street food vendor experience, head two blocks down to the toy district and experience the cart vendors in the alley shopping district .

The Central Market is a really cool place. You can sense a very friendly environment all around. The staff is constantly on the move cleaning around and trying to keep the place tidy and clean. Theres a vast array of food options that you can choose and the prices arent bad. I ate at a Japanese place and I spent $30 DLS for a lunch that included sushi, fried veggies (I forgot the name) Oh, yeah! Tempura! Giozza. Delicious giozza, and a plate with beef, rice and other stuff I dont remember. And a soda too! The food lasted until dinner. When I made my way back home, many miles away from downtown L.A. I still had some tempura to snack on. So I think it was a fair price. What is very unfortunate is that the businesses dont allow for people to sit at the stools by the bar so theres high demands for seats and not enough available. You have to hunt for a table while standing uncomfortably next to someone who seems to be almost done with their table and use very much your telepathy and your sight language to avoid getting in an argument with someone about a table. Not that people are aggressive or fighting for the tables, because everybody is very educated and courteous, but I guess you never know when you might come across Karen and get involved in a nasty fight over a table to eat.I would suggest (being as light as I am) that people shared their table. For example, there was a man sitting on a table by himself and my GF and I stood next to him, declaring informally that we were next to take that table. 14 seconds after...no, 5 seconds after that a couple stood behind us threatening with their bright eyes to take the table that we had already put our eyes on. Then the problem was that our food was still being prepared. So my girl and I organized: she chose to stay and guard the table while I went for the food. It took me about ten minutes to come back because the ladies at the food place were still preparing the salmon sushi. So, when I had the food I went back and saw my girl sitting at a different table and a family of four sitting at our table. I sat down and asked her why she changed seats (ours was a bit close to the trash bin). She told me that she initially had sat at our table and then the one where she currently was also became available and only had two chairs. So she, being as polite as she is, offered to sit at the table with two seats and give them the chair that had four seats. That is a great display of courtesy, class and citizenship. Anyway, we had to rush out to the train station, so we didnt finish our food and just packed it back in the bag, cleaned our table, threw away our trash in the bin, and we were out to our next destination.

One of the definite perks of working in Downtown LA is the Grand Central Market. Established in 1917 as the ground floor attachment to the Homer Laughlin Building, its the oldest and largest public market in Shaky Town. The location was chosen because of its close proximity to Bunker Hill and the Angels Flight Railway. If you visit one, you should partake in the other, as youre experiencing LA history to the fullest. The demographics of GCM has changed over the years. Vendors have come and go, as the market is constantly evolving to fit the needs and ever changing population. The merchants and consumers are now mostly Hispanic.Their mission - to celebrate the cuisines and cultures of Los Angeles. Their commitment is to preserve the legacy of the historic downtown landmark, to bring the communities together in one location, and nurture the next generation of local businesses.
