One of my favorite places to walk, especially since they recently redid their roadways and parking, so it is all newly paved roads and paved parking, right next the best trail heads, with wide cement bike trails and parallel gravel walking trails. Excellent trail guilde posts. Great ADA Handicap parking at all 3 parking lots, right at the trail heads. It is a perfect place for walking dogs, biking, walking, or running for individuals and families, and there are picnik tables at various points, along the trails, with beautiful photography overlooks and quiet fishing points along the 3 lakes and trails that run all along the South Platte River. The whole area is beautiful and well maintained, open for cars and parking from dusk til dawn.

What a great place to fish! It would be nice if I would have got several of the fish on my hooks in, but they are always biting! Its quite there, plenty of spots to fish at and its beautiful there too!Maybe someday Ill get lucky and actually pull a fish in. Im not even quite sure what kind of fish are in there but strong enough to break my lines several times. Go there, its a great place!

The nature center was closed when we visited. There were lots of bicyclists on the gravel paths, so we hiked the side trail by the river and saw quite a few water fowl. The trees hide the nearby businesses on Santa Fe, making this a great local outdoor break without a long drive into the mountains.

What a great trail! The paths are well paced for biking and it has a great gravel trail for walking right along side that. When I head back here, I want to go tubing along the river that coincides. In the meantime, this path is perfect for any type of running, jogging, biking, walking, or strolls!

A beautiful park! If you have kids, be sure to go when the nature center is open. There are several interactive things to do and see. The kids will love playing at the water table where they can experiment with building around a river and what happens when the river floods. The walking/biking paths are well maintained. There is access to the river for tubing or kayaking, though I have never done those things there. Expect to see plenty of birds and water fowl. We have also seen an owl in the trees from time to time. An enjoyable way to spend an afternoon!

They should keep the crayfish in a maineland 12 gallon aquarium, filled with tape water with chlorine removerand crushed coral that bleaches calcium into the water, very important to when he molts. I feed my crayfish, live fish. because that be what he would be used to in his natural habitat, and keeps the feeder comets in big tubs, I feed them good and keep their water in good water conditions.

I absolutely loved it! Nature centers are some of the best places to go of you want to know more about an area, and this place was no different. They had awesome animals and things to look at, and they were very educational as well. The people there are very nice. Its awesome to learn that there is a protected area down there! If you like walking and being in nature, this is the place for you. Support your local nature centers!

This was a quit getaway a place that gave me the solitude and the experience of Gods eye I know that sounds corny thought if youre at peace and you can see the beauty in nature even so small in the city so to speak cat is to me God or gods like and what I mean by that even if you do not believe in a god you can surely agree on a beauty that is explained through nature in our eyes , however small this place may seem 2 most it is untouched Psy construction in the busyness of the rest of the city I support getting out and seen this face I only wish it would be bigger

So many wonderful things about this walking and biking path! Walk and bike path for the most part are two separate paths which I find extremely helpful. Nature all around you and free access to Hudson Gardens (No dogs allowed in Hudson Gardens). The river flows on one side ams the paths extends for miles on both sides.

My son loves to run around the nature center and interact with the displays. Hes too young to tube in the river, but Ive seen tons of families having a blast riding down the river. The trials are a little boring and you hear the electrical lines crackling, but we come for the nature center anyways. There are two fish tanks with local species, a turtle, salamander, snake, numerous stuffed animals, and plenty of touch-and-feel displays. Theres also a flood simulator, but we havent had the chance to play with it yet.
