So fun for kids and adults! We think the lifeguards are super reasonable (although the rule about not waiting on the stairs on the cut off slide is kind of strange). Very reasonably priced for a few hours of family fun. Bring cash for some delicious funnel fries.

Due to the covid going around. Pirates cover was fun. 2 hours of swimming is just not enough especially when we have a 5 yr old with autism and did not want to leave so quick. But other than that our family had fun.

Water was great. Staff was on top of it! You are required to make a reservation. They have several different time 2-hour time slots. They are serving food and basic drinks. It was perfect for laying out. My only issue were the people. While in line, one family kept crowding us. It was all I could do not to get loud with them. Some of the people in the pool area would see you walking and just start towards you like theyve never seen another human. Social distancing signs were everywhere. The staff did everything right.

We had a wonderful time here yesterday. It didn’t feel crowded. I like that the staff checked our tickets while we were in line. That made it super easy to get right in. There was plenty of space for us to lay our blanket out on the grass. The bathrooms were very clean and I saw staff walking around cleaning with disinfectants. I can’t wait to go back.

The process for letting in guests during the COVID-19 pandemic was expeditious and easy. Unfortunately, some lifeguards were not wearing masks and social distancing was not strictly enforced. Overall, had a good experience but would have liked to see more precautions being taken.

We attended on a Sunday morning with my 3 boys ages 7, 5, and 2. We all had a lot of fun and I felt it was affordable. However, if you are concerned about social distancing, you probably should skip it. The line for the big slides in particular was problematic. There was some effort to social distance but it was not enforced or followed. Lazy river was the same- quite crowded at times and difficult to stay away from others. I found the middle kiddie pool with small slides and splash structures to be the safest part. We were able to find some places that were away from others and still able to have fun. It was also easy to get a chair that was away from others.

My kids and I love this place. We like to get there as soon as they open to find a good spot to sit because it does fill up. The food is super cheap or you can take your own! (Except not now because of Covid). I like that it’s not a huge water park.

Ive never had a bad experience here. Today we were there for the 4 to 6pm block as is the norm for Covid. We were let in at 4 and the made announcements 10 to 5 minutes before our time was up. At 6 the turned off the water and we made our way out in orderly fashion.

Our family are waterpark experts. We are from Michigan and we have been to over a dozen outdoor different waterparks. I gave this one a great review for the money. It was very clean and well-managed. Lots of variety for a small park. The staff were extremely friendly. It was a lot of fun.

A great, safe place to take little kids. I have a 5 and 2 year old that love the water. They have splash pads, and a large enough 3.5 ft pool area that the kids can enjoy. The larger slides and pools are in a separate area and so my littles arent bothered that they are unable to play there. They have a Sandy Beach area to play in as well. I love that you can bring your own food in, too. We will definitely be getting season passes each year!

Cool park - terrible customer service. Purchased tickets for my family of 4 for a day that apparently only had 2 spots available. The website let me go ahead with the purchase but only gave me 2 of the 4 tickets I wanted...no big deal right? Just ask for a refund and book for another day, right? Nope...called customer service and they wouldnt refund those 2 tickets even though I intended to purchase tickets for another day. Its not to issue a refund...even if you have to send a check via snail mail, just do whats right by your customers.

Pirates cove in itself is a fun pool/water park, however, the staff is young and ill equipped to deal with unruly patrons and COVID. I was repeatedly harassed by an individual for asking them to simply follow the park rules, cussed at and threatened and the park staff (management) did nothing to reprimand this individual. Their response to the situation was to ask her not to use improper language in the park and then let her walk away, again, after she continuously harassed another patron. In regards to safety during COVID, I wouldn’t be surprised if I test positive after my trip to this pool. There was zero social distancing, ANYONE was allowed to touch equipment (tube floats) that other patrons would be using and the leadership did not enforce social distancing when out of the water. People were literally on top of each other in lines. The risk certainly outweighs the fun at this pool.

Took a group of 14 kids here. Apparently the park was celebrating Christmas in July. The decor was pretty cute.Entrance was easy, and the shop at the front was fairly well stocked with things a person might want at a water park. Prices were pretty reasonable too.The kids loved the slides, lazy river, pool equipment and pools. We didnt get to go to the biggest pool because the kids were so content to spend time in the smaller areas. My one complaint is a major one. The lifeguards might be perfectly good at their job. However, they dont necessarily have the training to deal with a stressful situation, which is integral in a place thats packed to the brim with children. The park had to call a lightning warning, and they did it a bit later than would make a person feel comfortable. The parking lot became a major traffic jam, and if there had been any serious sort if disaster Pirates Cove would have been dealing with chaos.

It was a very hot day and the place was packed! We couldnt find a parking spot and neither could the other 10 or so cars we were following around. We found a spot across the street in a public park. The park had multiple areas for different ages/skill levels. It would have been a better experience if it were less crowded. The life guards were very attentive but with the number of children in the water, I watched my grandchildren closely. They did enjoy themselves although they werent able to swim freely. They especially enjoyed the large splash of the water bucket dump.

Review №48

If youre going to go, dont go on Friday at midday... Absolutely nowhere to sit and place our things. My fault. So you really have to be there right when they open. Theres plenty of shaded areas, tables, and chairs, you just have to claim it quick. They also have cabanas you can rent which are a great option. The three stars are because of the staff member who watched my son get hit by some bigger boys and didnt do anything about it. He simply turned his head. I get it, perhaps he was new and didnt know what to do but at least stick up for the little kids. Its okay, I stepped in and made it right.I will say that the life guards on duty that day, saved a young girl from drowning. They were immaculate in their protocol and did everything by the book. Great job

Very economical. Entrance was less than 28 dollars for 2 adults and one child. A lot of shade and chair to sit and watch your children. 3 large water slides. 1 small one. Many many life guards. 25 cent key lockers for your personal belonging. Free parking. Great place for children maybe 8 and under. Food choices are minimal, bring your own water and snacks. Would recommend.

After reserving 2 days in advance for my son and his para. The para’s workplace abruptly shutdown which meant I needed to try and reschedule. Terrific place, especially for the price. I found that people are well behaved. Kids are even behaved well and my son played for hours without incident. The staff was friendly but assertive in applying the rules. Perhaps the best feature is the ability to bring in coolers if youd like to have a lunch that isnt simple fried food. You can also leave and return if youd like to go somewhere else to eat or it happens to start raining. Theres plenty of charm here for a local spot in the sun.

1st time to Pirates Cove, me and my partner were very happy with our visit on a Sunday. Park was clean, and well maintained. The water was clear, and temputre of the water was perfect. We had been referred to this water park by a friend, as we had been visiting the bigger more expensive water/theme park. We were very pleased with the offerings. The only thing I missed from this switch over was the wave pool. Pirates Cove doesnt have a wave pool. However the lengthy lazy river, and cheaper prices made up for it. We will be coming back again for years to come. Thank you to everyone at PC that .Ade our yearly summer trip to the water park the best part of the summer.

Great summer stop for a swim. Kids had a blast on the slides and kids areas. The price is well worth it. My only complaint is how they operate the lazy River. Instead you pile up at the entrance waiting until you get enough tubes to get the entire family in.

Great place for the younger and older kids. I only give 4 stars because some of some of the life guards, NOT all...that are at the end of the slide pool, totally freak out if the child does not stand straight up in 2 seconds after they come down.....even though my child past the height test and knows how to keep their head above water and doggy paddle AND can touch the bottomof the pool....they just blow their whistle and rush in and make you fill out an incident report. So at my nieces birthday...we had three kids go down and 2 out if the 3 had to have a report done...Like yes i agree SAFETY is important but come on Pirates Cove...she could touch the pool bottom...please use common sense with your ALL of your guards. I even thanked the young gentleman life guard when we went a second time down because he was paying attention and knew she was fine and did not signal a drowning... So it must be that some guards are either unprepared or inexperienced.

If you want Water World but on a budget or smaller scale then this is it. If you go during the week, you will be surrounded by bus loads of kids. They have lockers and they are $5/$8 depending on size. Restrooms were fairly clean even mid-day when people were throwing toilet paper on the floor. The only complaint I had was someone needs to monitor the empty tubes for the lazy river. Its not safe to expect someone to grab a tube in the middle when its jammed packed plus people dont care if you been trying for 5 minutes to get one. Water World has someone pull out the empty tubes to keep the flow going and to allow people to grab them as they go.
