Do not use this hotel! The only reason I gave them some credit is that they owned up to it, and they refunded my money back without question. Probably because the front desk knew how disgusting it was to stay there. The room was not clean. They made the bed, that was it! There was old toothpaste in the sink, old and used soap in the bathroom—scum bugs, grime, and mold everywhere. I thought the ceiling was going to fall on me.

Awful. For being newly renovated it was awful. Our wall was painted three different shades of brown. We booked there for the room because it had a jacuzzi tub and then it didnt work anyway. There was no help offered when we called the front desk oh and we had to use our cell phone because the room phone didnt work. Our shower curtin rod was about to fall off the wall. The curtains on the window were sagging and looked like they were ready to fall. The manager was no help when a call was made on Monday when the manager was finally in and was very rude.

Place is a dump.Moldy room and bugs everywhere.Got switched to another room but why would anyone think that first room is ok??!!Stay away until it has a MASSIVE overhaul on staff and buildings.

Rooms are very clean and inexpensive. I enjoyed talking to the staff. They made it easy for us to check in a little early age a long morning.

I just came for Labor Day weekend and I guess I paid for what I got. My first time not reading the reviews before booking, out of desperation everything was booked because of the holiday. The pictures of course are lovely but the reality of it is that it need much external and internal maintenance, I have the perception that this is also a low income rental property for temporary live in stays. It’s crowded outside with guest or tenants. No house keeping, the pool was closed and look green, the ceiling was stained and drop ceiling hanging, it’s just old and dirty looking. I know it’s a difficult time during covid-19 but come on, I wanted to leave soon as we pulled up.

I stayed in room 212 and the place was a dump. The paint was hanging from the ceiling. Water damage was clearly present but no one bothered to fix it. The carpet is absolutely disgusting. Mold in the shower. I was a plumber in the middle of the night because the handle on the toilet broke. To top it off there was no hot water in the shower. Do not stay here. The place and the grounds are run down. I only stayed one night. I got the hell outta there.

The toilet leaked at the bottom leaving a puddle daily. The shower curtain rod was broken so the curtain didnt close. The mini fridge had a sticky liquid inside. The door didnt lock properly. There wasnt a chair for the desk and I needed that to do my work. There were rooms in the back that didnt have door handles or locks. I felt very unsafe. I honestly thought the housekeepers were guests. It was sketchy. I stayed because my company booked it. Positives: The front desk staff was friendly and all of the flat surfaces in my room were clean, the cable and wifi were good, and there were no bugs inside the room.

I just left this low down hotel arriving three hours ago!! The bathtub was full of dirty water leaking . I called the front desk over 30 times and nobody picked up .Then the man next to the room walked in the room opened the door didnt give us a warning. At all. The scariest thing Ive very seen . My son was so scared. When complaining to the front desk manager he calmy said he was not aware that the room. Didnt have a lock the most craziest. I asked for a full refund. The hotel does look like it has people.livng there as well. Please book.someone else.

Nice place and nice price. Especially if you want to stay over night. Now its not a 5 star hotel anything is better than nothing. I tell you this, its better staying at Super 8 any night.

Not only was I given a room that was NOT what I booked on like, I was given a room that smelled as if I walked into a bar, pure smoke and beer. I originally booked a room with a king size bed & sofa-bed NON SMOKING. I was given a room with two Queen beds that were all lopsided. The foot of both beds were leaning downwards, but more to one side. The tub had a ring around it with dirt. When I called the front desk to let the manager know that the room was wrong, first Alex tried to say that’s what I booked. I told him I was looking at my reservation on my phone as we spoke and he basically told me he didn’t believe me and wanted to see my phone. I then mentioned that I had called the hotel the night before to confirm everything and to ask if any of the rooms had a kitchenette and was told that some rooms did have and that she would put a note on my reservation so they would accommodate me when I arrived. Alex the manager claimed there was no notes in the system and told me that no rooms in the hotel had kitchenettes.Very disappointed. After driving a few hours with my two babies, 3 year old and 6 month old and husband, to arrive to such a disaster.I cancelled my stay and had to look for another hotel to stay in. Thankfully we ended up finding one not to far from there and the hotel was beautiful! Home2 suites by Hilton. A little more money but totally worth it!

We had a great time. Room was great beds are very comforable. No breakfast, we brought our own so it was fine. Frige and microwave in the room. Pool was open, great place to stay...Guest services were great, nice people!!!! We will go again...

Room smells moldy, covered by perfume. Phone and TV dont work. TV now works, but they ran out of towels. Bathtub has a huge rust stain around the drain. Ice machine is broken. Yuck. No wonder its nonrefundable!

Horrible, in the photos it looks clean and beautiful, when you enter the room, everything is full of dust, the toilet paper at the end, the maid in 3 nights q was never there to clean .. not to mention the green pool. and the beaks many animals outside the hotel. When my fiance pulled into this hotels parking lot I thought she was pulling over to double-check directions because this couldnt possibly be the hotel from the pictures! This place was an absolute dump and looked NOTHING like the photos which are sorely out of date. There was zero chance of us staying here and shame on them for keeping those misleading photos on the site.

Place was a dump. Smelled like stale cigarettes and a bar upon arrival. Toilet had rust. Sink didnt drain. No cups. No free breakfast, pool, bar or restaurant as advertised. Only reason I stayed was I travelled there and didnt want to eat the travel costs. Notice the couch in photo is lower than the table. I dont think it had legs.

This property is very poorly maintained..concrete sidewalks have large sections missing on one end of the building, which also had no exterior lights, the one inside stairway was completely dark,there was an extreme amount of trash on the ground around the one wing I was in. There was a shopping cart on the 2nd floor filled with garbage.there were also issues with the room,but getting there after midnight,I didnt want to get into it with the night desk clerk...I could go on, but one comment is not going to get the attention of the management to correct what appears to be ongoing issues..If I were to be in the Lancaster PA area again, this would be the last place I would even consider staying at.

No happy at all with the hotel, sheets looked like they werent change at all ,they were not tug in on the corners, Hair in all sheets , comforter, pillows . Bugs , cigarette buds, smelled bad , mold inside cabinet doors , and due to covit19 they should pay more attention to that . The receptionist was nice and the maintenance guy who was trying to change light bulbs because light wasnt turning on , but at the end it did not work . For the money we paid is not worth. Plus no breakfast because of covit 19

No ice the place looks so run down it looks like youre driving into a back alley to get near the room the luggage carrier was missing had to carry luggage bag 4 trips no pool cable TV is awful it was almost all sales channels I dropped a piece of popcorn on the floor and picked it up and had hair on it no housekeeping had to set the towels and trash can overflowing outside the room to get him picked up the people at the front desk were all nice thats the only thing this place has going for it

This place is a nightmare. My company booked me here while I was stuck in town. I had to change rooms twice because the 1st 2 were filthy and disgusting and looked like they hadnt been cleaned in a month, the lights didnt work the phone didnt work the AC was hanging out of the wall and broken. After moving to the 3rd room I noticed a car watching me And I didnt feel safe staying here for a night.. The manager blatantly admitted that they have no more housekeeping services because they are basically waiting to be shut down permanently due to a lack of business and after seeing this place its easy to see why they have a lack of business. Book here at your own peril.

The rooms are adequately furnished, albeit the cushioned chair in the room had seen better days and was overdue for replacement.I made the reservation and arrived at the hotel, only to be told there was a $250 security deposit. Since the reservation was also non-refundable, i was lucky to have exactly that much available. This was not addressed anywhere on the reservation I made and needs to be addressed before false advertising claims are made against whomever is responsible for the discrepancy.

This place is horrible. When we arrived staff is very pleasant and helpful but after checking in we went to our room. When we opened the door it stunk. place is very dirty. Bathtub - filthy - lampshade has stains on it. We immediately checked out. The empty parking lot should have been a clue. A friend booked the place - shame on me for not checking out reviews. Spend a few more bucks and stay elsewhere

Wasnt able to take shower cause the lever to flip to shower wasnt working. Room was decent, swimming pool outside available with handicap assistance mechanism. Parking for straight trucks only and small RVs. Restaurant and bar inside but wasnt open cause of slow season but open on weekends I was told.

We found an old bottle under our mattress and dirty underwear. Wondering did they ever clean these rooms or just remake the bed and fold the towels. The shower was filthy also.

Positive: Location is convenient for access. It is near to a big shopping plaza. Negative: Room is not clean enough. There is so much animal hair on the carpet. No hot water is provided in breakfast.

I loved this hotel. So much so in fact that I really doubt the legitimacy of some of the bad reviews. But hey you can check me out I leave a lot of hotel reviews, good and bad. And I don’t really have much negative at all to say about this place. I did get super drunk last night and didn’t make breakfast this morning, but even as I threw up my guts this morning, I was thankful I was in a comfortable hotel room. I guess the only negative was the carpet was kind of dingy and the hallways but who cares?! This rate was less than $100 after tax so you shouldn’t be expecting the most luxurious accommodations, but I’ll tell ya, it was close. Short walk to food, stores and the train station. Wonderful customer service. I’d definitely stay again.

Had to call font desk to get toilet paper. We could have some if we came and got it. TV didnt work. They said someone would be there to fix it, never happened. The room smelled and the refrigerator reaked. The room wasnt clean, black mold in the shower.

The employees are great could be paid better. The rooms are clean. Management is very good with trying to accommodate guests and employees.

The property was clean looking. However, it was a bit difficult figuring out how to navigate the property to park near my room. Keep in mind that may have been because it was dark as I arrived around midnight. But overall I had no complaints.

Nice hotel, there is a pool, free breakfast, a supermarket very close and is located very close to the highway. If your are looking for a cheap place to stay while you visit Lancaster then this is the place.

I will never stay here again, I could get a contact high from the smell of weed. The room was clean, no bugs. But the fold out couch was broken, and found roach clipsUnder the pull out couch. For the price I paid for that suite was ridiculous the way it was.

Check in was awful. Receptionist was no where to be found for 10 minutes. Free breakfast was listed and none was provided. Internet was spotty. Hot water for shower took 5-7 minutes (no joke. I turned it on underdressed, brushed my teeth before water was ready). Only nice thing was the room was clean.

The cost was reasonable. It was quiet. The breakfast was awesome. The room was not that clean but there were no bugs and they brought us clean towels every day as we requested. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable.

Not sure where all the bad reviews are from, this hotel was a 5 star experience start to finish. At the moment I first walked through those golden doors and onto the Italian marble floor with fountains and cherubs... I knew I was in for one of the best stays of my life. A bunch of the bros from the quad and I packed into a suite that was built for 5 kings. Our room was absolutely breath taking. From the stained carpets, ceiling with water damage, 1950s curtains that have never been dusted to preserve their original form; absolutely stunning. The interior design specialists at the location really go above and beyond. The continuously used puke brown bath mat in the tub had this nice way of making me feel like I was still at home while not distracting me from the gorgeous luxuries. All I want to say is God bless this beautiful piece of art and if you ever have the chance... STAY AT THE CLARION! 10/10

Nice & clean, comfortable king size bed. Convenient location off highway. Would have given a 5 star, but in the am my husband had to go get bath size towels from the office.

Im sorry there are terrible reviews about this place. I was very nervous to check in because of what I read. But.... The staff was very friendly. My room was very clean. The hotel breakfast was average. The pool was very nice and very clean. It definitely is a old hotel but it was fine for a 1 night stay for my family!!

The customer service was so personable and friendly. The whole entire staff was so pleasant. Yaritza, the women at the front desk was very skilled and attentive in her demeanor and her job, which made me feel at home. The rooms were clean and fresh. Me and my travel partners really enjoyed the pool and out stay!!

1st room we were in, the toilet didnt work, and b;lack mold in the shower. 2nd room, broken blind, non working toilet, water stains on ceiling. 3rd room, no door handle on the inside of the bathroom door, and the door didnt close all the way. Forced it closed once and then couldnt get out. Internet was down. Lobby was very dark. No lights on. Dirty unkept walk ways. no breakfast (which was offered). Beds were clean and comfortable but thats about all I can say that was good. If we could have cancelled at the last minute, we definitely would have.

Positive: It was conveniently located for the business I was conducting. Negative: The WiFi was not working and they said it had been out for some time. I needed the WiFi and was inconvenienced by its lack of availability.

First and last I will stay here the name clarion inn and suits is really known great quality, no knobs on bathroom door paint peeling of the walls rugs all stained.

People were really nice and welcoming. The lobby is unique and comfortable. The rooms were nice enough but the best part was it’s close to everything in Lancaster! Made it easy to visit the outlets and Amish country.

First off, the door frame was all dented in, the door was being held shut by two wooden blocks in the frame itself, someone wrote Help in marker on the frame itself. The inside of the door had three different areas where the top lock was, not a good feeling. Then we walk further into the room and the bottom of the refrigerator was all scratched up. The door handle on the night stand was Just hanging there. Then as we go a little further into the bathroom if you manage to look up there is mold on the ceiling. The wall under the stained sink is falling apart, but then you finally decide to take a bath and notice the long black hairs all over the place so you dont. Then while going to the bathroom you notice the toilet paper holder is going to fall off and the toilet handle is broken. The next day you decide to take a shower and notice a used wash cloth in the curtain itself. Breakfast was supposed to be until 10am , my dad got there at 730 and they were just starting to bring stuff out, I got there at 9 and nothing was there at all.

The only reason I’m giving one star is because the maid staff was good. This hotel took money that wasn’t theirs out of our account. The room was dirty, the roof in multiple rooms leaked and staff did nothing. Defiantly not worth even a free night unless you need a desperate roof over your head.

1. The pool was closed after I was told it would be open.2. You call the front desk nobody answers. I had to try like 3 times.3. I waited the next day for a call back from the manager never happened.4. The hot water takes forever to come out.5. The beds are horrible !!! Felt like I was sleeping in a water bed. Either the bed would swallow you or throw you out.6. The bathtub floor is super slippery my husband almost fell. There are no handle bars atleast one.7. The toilet you have to stand there flushing it until it goes down if not it doesnt flush.P.S. Ive stayed in plenty of hotels and this has been the worst.

Old rather shabby motel. Rooms had obviously been patched and painted several times but were clean and smelled ok. There was supposed to be a continental breakfast but there was nothing there at 8 oclock in the morning.

Rooms are clean. Breakfast is good but dining area is cold! No heat!The few things they lack: wifi not working for two days, rooms are not cleaned eveey day, bathroom tissue left almost consumed, did not leave an extra one, no outlets or USB for charging devices. Have to disconnect items to be able to charge devices.

I went to bed fully dressed because I was very uncomfortable in the room. If I had a choice, I would have stayed elsewhere.The bathroom ceiling was falling in, but freshly painted. At one point, I heard water dripping in the bathroom. Went to check it out and found the floor soaked beside the tub, but no clue where it came from.The mattresses are ancient and covered with mattress bags. Id be afraid to look inside.Overall, not a pleasant experience.At least the clerk was friendly at check-in.

I guess it’s what’s to be expected in the city of Lancaster. The place it’s very outdated, rooms are not maintained, The front lobby is like a ghost town and the “restaurant bar “ locks the doors at 9 PM.They do have laundry but you will need to bring your own quarters as they will not have them at the front desk and if you are trying to get Wi-Fi good luck.We travel quite a bit and stay at many hotels around the country but this one in particular will make you leave disappointed and feeling almost dirty. Rooms smell like a tavern. They claim to be non-smoking rooms but definitely smell smoked-in.Also make sure that you don’t leave your room door opened as you can see in this photo …Yes that’s a skunk

Please don’t go here. The bed sheets were itchy. Room service didn’t come to clean the room or replace towels at all. When asked for clean towels, it took hours to receive them and we had to go down to the lobby to get them. The cleaning staff was loud and didn’t do their job. The lobby bathroom was filled with poop. The breakfast was disgusting... As you may be able to tell, I can go on about how much I disliked this place. If you’re looking for a good experience, go anywhere else.

Its just ok. There is a pool. There is a breakfast, but get there early! The rooms are antiquated and not so clean. The linens were nice and white! No stains on ours. Property needs to be cleaned up. Many things could be done inexpensively! Just hire a handyman. Most employees were all nice and tried to be helpful. It would have been nice to hear more english speaking on site though.

Do not book here. This is by far the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. I booked a “suite” as we have 3 children. The first room’s fold out bed was COVERED with mildew/mold. The room smelled like a wet dog. There were 2 towels in the bathroom and nothing else. Only 1/2 roll tp and no extra. We paid $175 for one night in this musty, damp, dirty place. Went down to the front to express our concerns. They gave us a different suite. Open the door to be greeted by the smell of wet dog and mold again. The fold out bed..... mildew again and it’s broken, as in hanging off of the frame broken. No TV in the additional “room”. There is also mildew on the cabinet doors and the overall room is just damp and dirty. Went BACK down to the front. Explained the issues.... she told me they know about the mildew and that there isn’t anything they can do about it. ?!?!?!? She offered me a 10% refund. A whopping $17. The pool is SO dark green it looks black. No way anyone has swam in that sludge in weeks! There are people loitering everywhere in small groups... I have no idea why or what they’re doing but it’s definitely sketchy. I have never been to a nastier establishment in the Choice Hotel family. I tried to speak with a manager but he was out for the day and obviously did not care at all to speak to me. I have reached out to the director of customer relations as well as filed a formal complaint with Choice Hotels. Please read the reviews before booking this room.... obviously we did not.

I arrived at the hotel only to find the photos online is nothing like what I saw in person. After checking into the hotel, I found opened beer cans under the bed and used toe nail clippers. I notified the front desk regarding my concerns and not feeling safe or comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend this note to anyone looking for a safe place to stay even if were free. I’m disappointed.

When I got to my room the first thing I saw was the bed was not made up the old room keys were still there. So they put me in another room and when I got there their were dirty towels hanging in the closet and they didnt have any wash clothes in the bathroom and one of the beds had a sink hole in it. And you couldnt connect to the wifi. I let them know when I was leaving and they gave me a discount on my room but all n all the place was the worst
