A decent workout for this out and back course. Bring plenty of water and dress lightly during the summer months. Approximately 6 plus miles round trip.
This trail is great for hiking and mountain biking. Its got a lot of pretty views of the Twelve Mike Creek valley
We started at Nesbit Park and hiked to the other SC trailhead and back. Feels like you are right in some backyards, but a wonderful hike. Total at 7.7 miles from out parking spot near the soccer fields to other end and back. Took us just under 3 hours round trip for above average fitness individuals. Trail can be tight with bikes. Suspension bridge is closer to Nesbit Park end as is a really cool feature. Brought our pup and he seemed to enjoy it. Very few trash cans along the way but thankful for them
The trail is 3.5 miles length before The Carolinas border. Around 0.5 miles more if you hike until the head of trail. It crosses some creeks, and it stays near to several neighborhoods. It feels more a hike in the backyard, so hikers should not expect solicitude. It is good for a casual stroll with a dog. Also be aware of bikes. Unfortunately, the trail is narrow in some sections so you have to yield to bikers.
Went there with my dog . The trail probably was nice back in a day before “civilization” aka HOA ... now on the left is nature on the right vinil siding homes. We did get a chance to walk undisturbed (better than my neighbourhood) . A little rocky so probably not the best for strollers or small kids. I saw a few couples on mountain bikes.
A hike at backyards from a neighborhood. Great for locals but not worth a drive to reach there.
Great for dogs! The trail has lots of rocks so probably not good for small children, 12+ is good. Well be back!
A nice trail along a Creek with a suspension bridge at one end.
This is a great Hidden Gem of a trail. It is well maintained I used it for mountain biking and thought that it was just difficult enough but not too difficult for the average Rider. A lot of great views winding over the river between North and South Carolina. I hope to get back there soon
Located pretty much in a sub but a nice walk
Easy access trail along 12 mile creek. It is part of the Carolina Thread trail. Looking forward to hiking it on cool fall mornings. Easy hike
Didnt go far.. Its just a trail behind a subdivision..
Good trail and awesome suspension bridge!
The 12 mile creek greenway is a beautiful, well-maintained (at least the parts that I walk in Indian Land) walkway and is used by many people. Much of the greenway is shaded and in the middle of the woods, but there areas that back up to new construction and are without trees nearby, so the sun can beam directly on you at times. This trailhead comes out to walnut creek park, which also has sidewalks and exercise stops to enjoy, as well as ponds and benches.
Wouldnt go with the kids on the bycicle, but for adults its a great journey. Will try it next time w/o the kids
Trails needs some work. It says its stroller friendly but not so much
Nice Natural trail .
Nice walk alongside of the 12 miles creek
Well maintain trail that has a great surprise, suspended bridge on the state line.
Nice little walk through the woods and over a suspension bridge.
Great hiking area in Indian Land especially if you are a resident of Walnut Creek
Beautiful park
Nature at its best
There is a trail about 4 miles long one way and back the same way. There is a open gym at the entrance.
Great views. Bring water.
Fun, rugged trail.
Great trail for a hike
Nice little walk!
Part of the Carolina Thread Trail.
