It had cute exhibits, but smaller than I expected. My kids enjoyed the farm section. It had a variety of hands on activities. My boys played for about 2 hours, and then were done with the inside activities. They have a nice outdoor play area as well. (But if youre going for the outdoor area, just go to a free park)

My son loves it. I loved it. I just wish other people were as considerate as I insist that my children be with items they are playing, or have played, with. And with other children who want to try something or are waiting for a turn etc. But, some things are just not controllable, so we didnt let it get us down, even though we had to hunt down certain items taken to other areas to use some of the other areas, and had to revisit certain areas because of kids staying at one area for hours(while their parents just sat and talked and used hands on house facepaint area as their babysitter)we still enjoyed our time there and loved the place, the staff, and everything the Hands On House did have control over.

Our 1st time visit here and we came with our 4 yr old grand niece. Interesting learning and hands on stations. Very busy with lots of kids average age 2 to 6 years. After 2.5 hrs we were tired and ready to go but our 4yr niece was not. So, we stepped out in the cold and let her explore the outside play area. After 45 mins and the start of snow she was ready to go. Will be back in the spring. Ty for a cool attraction for 2, 50 plus, great Aunties and their 4yr. Old niece.

In spite of the poor cell reception (a good thing for distracted parents, Im guessing), this place is perfect for kids 2-7 years old. The newly renovated area in the back designed around the trades is a great idea and certainly is more relevant than the old factory themed area. My kids love the place. Thats good enough for me to leave 5 stars...

Fun place for the littles! Not sure why anyone would give a negative review. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great with kids. My nieces age 3 and 6 love the Face paint area. There is also a farm area where you can pretend to milk a cow and feed the animals and pick fruit. A store with lots of pretend food. A whole dress up area with a stage and a mechanical room of sorts where kids can go through a factory process and assemble an item. They also have a themed story time with special toys that go along with the theme. And last but not least an outside fenced in play area with beautiful trees and play structures. Great place to role play with kids and get their imaginations going. Its geared towards children, so obviously the toys/props are gently loved, but no complaints!

This is such a cute little place to take your kids! It really is hands on!! Its not a very big place the only down fall i could really find. They have and outdoor area your kids can climb and play. Also have a sand box you can play in. Indoors is where most of the activitys are. They have a station to paint your own face! Things to climb on. Lots of things to play with and do! Including what looks like a grocery store with shopping lists and then the kids can play cashier and check eachother groceries. They also have a tree house you can put on a puppet show and boat you can play dress up! Also can play mail man and learn about machines and play on a huge light brite!! A lot of fun for the kids!

A nice little gem in Lancaster. My son has been twice and truly enjoys it. The first time he was a bit shy and didnt do much, but the 2nd time he was all over the place and having a ball in the different rooms. I wish they didnt charge for adults, too. I mean, I literally stand there watching my kid or helping him on a few things. Im engaged, but not playing on or in the items. A bit upset that it costs me $9 to interact with my kid. Oh well. They have a nice outdoor play area as well.

Cute concept. Kids love it here. Would have given it 5 stars, HOWEVER, for the cost, they need to upgrade the play areas, lots of broken toys, buttons, scanners, etc. The cost of an adult ticket should be half the price; way over pirced. Then they ask for a $5 donation on top of the total price.

Went here today for the very first time today with our daughter (2 years and 7 months old) and she loved it! Its the perfect size in my opinion for children aged 2 to 7. All of the little areas to play in are adorable and there are so many little things to do. The outside area looks like its so much fun when the summer comes! The playground is awesome and the little meadow area is probably very cool when its grown in a bit. The only suggestion Id have to make it better would probably be some hand sanitizer available parent height to clean the little ones hands after playing with so many toys that children are touching all day!

We stopped here while visiting the Lancaster area with our 3 year old. A lot of the concepts were a bit above his head, but he loved almost every activity anyway. I think there is a lot of space for him to grow with the activities. It took him about 2 hours to move through the inside activities for the first time. There was an outdoor section we did not explore as it was hot at the time. The only real downside was that we had to pay for each of us (both parents and our son) even though we were essentially watching our son move through the activities. They do have a membership that makes it cheaper, but for just one visit it was pricey. Other than that it was a great experience.

My almost 2 year old enjoyed himself at hands on house, I definitely think older children will enjoy it more, but for him to be free (2 and under) it was worth our first visit. The toys looked clean, I hope they wipe/lysol spray them often, but what I did notice is the walls were dirty from childrens hands. There was a button on in the dress up area that really caught my eye that I couldnt stop thinking about then started looking everywhere. The paint around it needed to be wiped down, terribly; the orange paint was brown. The paint is not flat, so it is very easy to wipe down with magic eraser and/or lysol wipe. I know it might seem silly because its a button/wall that Im concerned about, but it was gross looking, germs can be on walls, and it makes you second-guess how often the items are wiped down. I am a child care director and my son goes to child care as well so I know how fast dirt can build up from children... Im not a germ-a-phobe, but I do like to see cleanliness. All in all, my son had fun.. he really enjoyed the construction truck area.
