Beautiful garden. Got there late so we didnt have much time to walk around. It was pack with photographers so it was hard to take pictures. Everywhere I walk, I was avoiding being caught in someone photos. The scenery was very nice and there are lots of nice photos. I will come here again.After the garden close, we walk outside. There are a couple of parks, restaurants, and the lake fill with lotus flowers.

Nature at its finest is what I have to cal this place. This hidden gem located in beautiful Lakeland, FL is a must see open air garden. The well manicured grounds are full of beautiful plants and flowers native to Florida. If you like to take photos of nature or appreciate the outdoors, then this place is a must see.

A great place to observe the natural wonders of Gods creativity exhibited through human efforts. The many workers provide an experience to see various flowers, trees and other natural items. The distribution in different sections allows one to walk leisurely and at ones pace without being crowded or forced to move along. A place for great photography. I highly recommend coming here to personally experience it. Free parking is available and, of course, the gardens are free.

This is a truly beautiful garden with a lot of different, vibrant flowers and plant life to look at if you come during the right season. There are walking paths all over to view things, and there’s some nice gazebos as well. In the back corner there are some bamboo trees where people have carved their names or initials into the bark which I thought was neat, really gave the garden a more personal touch. There’s a small koi pond as well with some of the biggest koi fish I have ever seen, and some benches/ sitting areas for you to just sit in the quietude and enjoy the beauty. Hollis Garden also has a direct entrance to Lake Mirror walkways and downtown Lakeland, which is one of my favorite areas in town so it’s a great and convenient location. The only thing I don’t like as much is there are a lot of events, such as weddings or photo shoots, that take place in the garden and they get priority so if you are just a regular visitor you have to keep out of the way of the events which can be a pain.

Great place to go if you want to enjoy plants with your family. There are cherry tomatoes, corns, basil, rosemary, and so many other varieties of plants. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for a park to chill. Theres a great view by the lake as well. When I went there many people were taking pictures so if youre seeking a place to photoshoot this would be a wonderful place for that.

The story of this garden is wonderful. They have so many special plants and trees. They plant things seasonally and rotate whats in each garden. They have some of the most beautiful exotic vegetable plants such as purple cauliflower, starlight chard, a variety of herbs, fruit trees and tropical plants.The garden starts at the highest point with the ancient Florida fauna, steps down into the agriculture age, continues to the modern gardens, and ends at the lowest point next to the lake.

This place would make a beautiful wedding venue. Great design and lovely gardens as well as walking areas around the lake.

A beautiful peaceful place to spend an afternoon on a cool day. Lush garden of veggies are placed in strategic areas. The gorgeous columns decorate the garden. A wonderful place to spend the afternoon!

Nice variety of native and tropical flora. Very well manicured and laid out. I just wish it was a little larger. However, it does back into Lake Mirror, which is its own destination, so its like a two for one visit.

Wonderfully maintained public garden. Ive been here many times and its always so peaceful and inviting. My kids enjoy looking at the various plants and watching the koi in the fountain too. This is a must if you visit downtown Lakeland.

Love coming to Hollis Garden. Its great for a quiet relaxing afternoon. There is always beautiful flowers and plants to see with the occasional deer. Worth the drive from the valley

If youre looking for a place for a lovely afternoon stroll or a place to sit and read a book this is it! We love walking through the garden and come almost weekly after brunch.

Beautiful area. Locals usually use this area to enjoy a walk , take scenic pictures, or conduct photo shoots. During Prom & Homecoming season for high school most go to take pictures. Friday , Saturday and Sunday usually is busy and if there is a wedding the garden it self will be closed but the park & lake are available. The lake connects to the fire department (which conducts an open house once in a while so you can look around) also there is a restaurant nearby. There are conveniently benches along the lake in case you get tired. There are bathrooms close to the kids park. Along the lake and park there are some interesting statues you can admire. This is a great FREE enjoyment with family. The kids area has playful sprinklers that are on when it is sunny.

Serene and diverse garden not too big but packed with beauty. You can walk along paths or explore green areas while listening to classical music from speakers spread throughout the garden. It is lovely and wonderful.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to go but its a crying shame how people doesnt care how much time it takes workers to keep this place looking nice for everyone to enjoy and people just throw trash everywhere especially in the water where the turtles,ducks,fish are.

A very nice garden for taking all occasion pictures! There is a lake next to the garden that is great for walking around the lake. There is also a nice playground next to the garden and a splash pad. The restroom is in the grey 2 story building next to the playground. Dont go to the bathroom in restaurant near the parking lot behind the building it is closed in the afternoon.

We spent the afternoon walking the gardens and all around the lake,enjoying the sunshine as well as the downtown area. Its not called The Swan city for nothing. More white and black swans in the 2 downtown lakes than anywhere else we have seen in Florida. There is also a foodcourt building around the lake for reasonable prices and good care. Its indoors with restroom facilities. Very nice way to spend an afternoon and parking and entry is free. Nice visit for 2-4 hours

If you have never been to Hollis Garden especially at this time of the year go quickly before any of the tulips had finished their season because some of them will be as tall as you. They have some dining theyre mostly luncheon type of things. The gardens are just gorgeous & maintained beautifully.

Hollis Garden was lovely. Beautifully maintained. Well worth a visit. As long as youre there, walk 2 blocks to Swan Lake to see many of these lovely creatures.

If youre looking for a nice place to take a walk and get some fresh air, this is it! The garden is small but its full of pretty flowers and butterflies... We even saw a few bluejays!

Beautiful garden to spend a relaxing romantic evening, or take the family...there is a beautiful playground next to the gardens. There is additional parking just past the playground. The main lot is small. I have to go back and walk around the lake.

A tranquil, lakeside paradise in the middle of the historic downtown. It is divided into garden rooms that change with the seasons. Astonishingly the admission is free. Every time I bring a guest from out of town, they exclaim “Lakeland is such a beautiful city!”

Beautiful Garden to take your High School Prom photos, or for any occasion. Local Photography is usually scheduled here. They close rather early during the evening to preserve the historic downtown Lakeland area.

Beautiful public free garden. Lots of great birds, trees and flowers. Dog walkers, bike riders, runners, families. Everything youd hope a beautiful park will be. Loved it so much Im considering moving nearby.

What a lovely break from the hustleand bustle of everyday work life. Hollis Garden is peaceful and tranquil and the garden itself is fabulously maintained. This is great venue for pictures - weddings, proms, family sessions. If you are looking for a quiet corner to read, this is the place (I sometimes escape here for a few). I highly recommend this outdoor space.

Always love to walk in Hollins Gardens because of the gorgeous flower beds that are professionally landscaped. There may be one area that needs work. I am very grateful that this area was set up and installed for all of Lakeland to see. There are certain hours for this garden.

Took my girls here for Christmas pictures. Beautiful flowers and fountains. Overlooks mirror lake which is another amazing photo spot especially at sunset.

A small garden with easy disabled access throughout the concrete trail. Each trail leads you to a different section highlighting specific plants, texture, smell, along with sculptures. I would stop here and stroll through the relaxing FREE garden.

The actual garden is beautiful but has very limited hours!Lovely, easily accessible from the nearby park, Poor Porker coffee shop, and surrounding restaurants.Great for a stroll (romantic or not) around the lake, especially at sunset. You can always count on seeing people with their dogs, and probably someone taking wedding pictures as well.Restrooms are directly around the corner from the entrance, by the park.

Nice free well maintained botanic garden in very walkable area of downtown Lakeland. A brief visit is always pleasing. Great place to bring elderly guests or little kids (great playground next to garden).

One of my favorite stops in Lakeland. The gardens are so well kept. The view of the lake makes you feel instantly relax when peering over at it. Plus, this is a perfect place to take family photos.

Always gorgeous. Always manicured to the nines!Every time is visit there is a wedding going on, its almost hilarious. If you are lucky enough to swing by when the gardens arent rented, its such a calming and romantic walk through. Sit by the waterfall, the fountain, or just amoungst the mosses planters and unwind.Doesnt hurt to grab a few nice pictures of the family either.
